I have a question.

None of that is even close to anything that has been stated. GOD will see to it that HIS people come to a saving knowledge of the truth of JESUS CHRIST paying the penalty for their sins. Without this, they would not be saved. It is the way GOD has decided to do it.

If the ones who will be saved has already been decided since the beginning of time, why do they need something to cover their sins? They're already saved. Wouldn't it be safe to say that their sins have already been forgiven, since they were chosen from the very beginning?

If someone needs to come to the truth of Christ before they are saved, then that means they were not chosen from the beginning of time.

Which is it?

I must be missing something....

because I'm unconvinced. It doesn't gel to me.

To me it's confusing and lacks sense - God is NOT like that.

They are not already saved. They are chosen to be saved. Quit trying to change what is being said. If you do not agree, fine. But it has been clearly established in the scriptures that all men have sinned and thus all men need a savior. Those GOD has established to be saved, will be saved. Stop with the gobbledy goop logic.

I do not think I have stated that there are people who are saved from the foundation of the world, If I have, then I mis-spoke. What I have said is that those who are going to be saved were chosen from the foundation of the world to be saved.

"according as HE has chosen us in HIM before the foundations of the world" Not saved from the foundation of the world, chosen us in HIM from the foundation of the world. HE still had to come in the fullness of time and we are still saved in the fullness of time.

"...GOD hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation" not saved from the beginning, chosen to salvation from the beginning.

These are clear scriptures that you choose to ignor. Dozens of them have been posted. All of them say chosen to believe, chosen for salvation, or Elect. None of them say saved from the foundations of the earth.

Choosing to deny the scriptures that you know in order to disregard that which you do not understand is what I do not understand.

The more I think about predestination or election, the same question keeps nagging me. If God predestined those who are to be saved, why does He not just give a list of His chosen, to His chosen, and not have them "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you"? Seems like a huge waste of time, money and resources wasted if only 33% of the world has become Christians, according to 2007 research. Not a very good example of stewardship, now is it?

It is an unanswerable question. All we know are that there are passages that indicate 2 things:

1. God is completely sovereign over all things including salvation

2. God hold people accountable for the decisions they make

God has not given us a list of what He has decided to do. All we know is that He has commanded us to share.

Why did GOD make avacodos with such huge pits? Why are flounder sideways? Why did GOD put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the garden. There are no answers to why GOD chooses to do things the way HE does except that HE chooses to do things the way HE does.

Why doesn't GOD show up to everybody the way HE did with Paul? Surely Paul was chosen by GOD.

Now, for what it is worth, I will answer the question and people will say, "no it isn't";

The reason that GOD doesn't give us a list of those who are the chosen is that preaching to those who are under GOD's wrath establishes the righteous judgement they will be under. They will be far more deserving of eternal damnation for having had a taste of the goodness of GOD and considered the shed blood of JESUS CHRIST a contemptable thing.

HIS word goes forward and does not return to HIM without accomplishing all that HE intends it to accomplish.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
