  1. Hey @George, we've noticed that emoticons aren't working again. I remember the last time this happened, so I cleaned out my attachments. This didn't resolve the issue. Here's what I noticed: when adding a second emoticon to a post, a message appeared that stated this html code wasn't supported. The first emoticon I used can be viewed by clicking on a link. I'll use one with this post as an example. https://p3n9m3v6.stackpathcdn.com/uploads/emoticons/default_39.gif

  2. That just is not true, but if you listen to those who hate Israel, you will hear what you want when your mind is made up. Like I said, when the aide does arrive, who take control of it? The Hamas police do. What are they doing with this aide if the civilians are not getting it??? On the other hand, Israel is not going to stop fighting until their enemy is defeated ... that is what war is about. Israel did not want this war, Hamas did and when they got their butt kicked, they cried to the world for help.

  5. God has given us many insights into the future by historical events of the past. Just as God also said He would use Christ and His elect for signs and for wonders; just as Jesus himself was for a sign for the fall of and rising again of many in Israel. Samson was a Nazarene from birth, just as Jesus was also called a Nazarene; and both Samson and Jesus were determined by God to be a deliverer of the people. The vow of the Nazarene in the law shows us when a vow is made to separate yourself unto the Lord, the Nazarene was not to defile himself with wine or strong drink, he was not to defile himself with the dead, and he was not to cut his hair with a razor unless he broke the vow he had made to God and become defiled. If the vow was broken, then they were commanded to shave off their hair to expose their shame for breaking the vow to God. The long hair of the Nazarene represented the strength of the Lord that was upon his head, which also represents the Wisdom of God being that strength upon the head of His elect. This is why when Samson lost his hair he also lost his strength, and was then brought into captivity and was made blind. This in a nutshell is what happened to Israel when they broke the vow they made to God to keep all the commands God gave them contained in the law. They like Samson, got a hair cut (so to speak), and was made blind from understanding the words of God; as the Word of God is the Wisdom of God, and is also the power of God. God said in Jeremiah 7:29 for Jerusalem to cut off thine hair! As a sign of this very thing. The people had defiled themselves and had forsaken the ways of the Lord, thus they would lose the strength of their head, as Christ is shown as the Head of the body, and is also the power of God. Samson was misled by Delilah, as Israel was misled and played the harlot by taking up the ways of the Gentile nations that surrounded them. And because they were drawn away by strangers like strange women and their strange doctrine; they also were brought into captivity of the Gentiles and were also made spiritually blind. But we know by the words of Paul, that blindness in part happened to the Jews, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. And so when the Spirit of the Lord returns to Israel as is prophesied, so too shall their strength return and God shall fight for them as in the days of old. In the story of Samson, after Samson was made blind, Samson was brought before the Gentiles to be mocked by the Gentile masses. Samson then cried out to God for strength, and God renewed his strength; and Samson by the power of God brought down the house of the Gentiles upon his mockers heads. We here in the last days will see the mockers and blasphemers of God and of His holy saints increase, as this is determined to be. But be of good courage and faith, for the saints of the Lord shall renew their strength, and the Lord shall bring down the houses of the Gentiles upon their own heads. Peace

  6. Isaiah 44: 24 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb: I am the Lord, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself; 25 Who frustrates the signs of the babblers, And drives diviners mad; Who turns wise men backward, And makes their knowledge foolishness; 26 Who confirms the word of His servant, And performs the counsel of His messengers; Who says to Jerusalem, You shall be inhabited, To the cities of Judah, You shall be built, And I will raise up her waste places. Throughout the history of Israel, there was no lack of voices proclaiming predictions, giving ungodly counsel, and claiming wisdom from the imagination of their own hearts, and not from above. The Lord confirms His Word and promises swift judgment against false prognosticators, who try to interpret every current event as prophetic, and make predictions from their own worldly knowledge. Isaiah 47: 12 Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorcery, wherein thou hast labored from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be you may prevail. 13 Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. 14 Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it. 15 Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast labored, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee. There are many such warnings in the apostolic doctrine that all should give heed. 2 Peter 2: 1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.

Matt 23: 37-39 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. Ezk 36: 24-26 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. ("The above verse has happened, but Israel is not clean,Yet.") 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. (" Some time in the near future this verse will happen") 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. (" Notice Israel does not go back to the Old Law many try to mix with the NC.") 12. 44:24-27 God presents Himself to the faithful remnant as Redeemer, Jehovah (the LORD), Creator, Protector, and Restorer. He frustrates the predictions of the Chaldean babblers and . . . diviners and the wisdom of the wise. He confirms the predictions of His own prophets that Jerusalem and Judah will be restored, and that His people will return from captivity under the decree of Cyrus. 44:28 This prophecy concerning Cyrus is remarkable in that it mentions him by name 150 to 200 years before he was born. It is also amazing that God calls him "My shepherd." Again Cyrus is named as the one whom God will use to deliver His people from Babylon and to authorize the rebuilding of the temple. Josephus, the Jewish historian, wrote: Now Cyrus learned this (as to building the Temple) by reading the book that Isaiah had left of his own prophecies 210 years before. . . . These things Isaiah foretold 140 years before the Temple was destroyed. When Cyrus, therefore, had read them, and had admired their divine character, an impulse and emulation seized him to do what was written. (David Guzik) My faith grows stronger by the day.

  14. Read this in the Hannah W. Smith devotional (God is Enough) for yesterday . . . and the theme was carried through into today (see bottom). It states so clearly that we must realize that just as we didn't have any part in our initial salvation, except by believing in Christ, we likewise have no part in our ongoing sanctification apart from just simple faith in Him! Christ's death purchased for us not only the forgiveness of our sins but also victory over them-not only freedom from their guilt but freedom from their power as well. Faith in Christ will bring us much besides salvation from eternal condemnation. Because try to live our lives apart from Him we fail. We realize that He gives us life in the first place, but we do not see that He also must live it for us. We trust Him for the forgiveness of our sins, but we trust ourselves for the daily conquering of them. We pray for divine aid and for the influence of the Holy Spirit, but still our thought is that they are to be given to us that we might fight and conquer. This is the secret of our failures. We are as helpless in the matter of sanctification as in the matter of justification. We are as thoroughly cast on Christ for the control of an irritable temper as for the pardon of all our sins. Christ must be all in all to us every moment. "Without me," He says, "ye can do nothing" (John 15:5). This is the secret of peace and victory. (Diaries, 1867) Today the devotional goes on to say this: "So I am abiding in Christ and He is living in me. All I have to do now is yield myself to Him as one alive from the dead and allow Him to do with me whatever He pleases! I do not always abide in Him. Alas no! Satan sometimes succeeds in enticing me to take up my old life in the flesh again. But thanks to my mighty Savior, His blood avails to atone for even this, and again and again He forgives me and cleanses me afresh again from all unrighteousness. I find that daily I lean more and more to hang onto Christ by a naked and unaltering faith, and as a result I find myself more and more confirmed in my abiding in Him. And why should not the time come for even me, when I will be so established and settled there as to go out no more?"

  16. Your only failure is to accurately address my concerns, although you have made abundantly clear your own, and I respect that. Here is what you have overlooked. 20 Therefore when you come together in one place, it is not to eat the Lord’s Supper. 21 For in eating, each one takes his own supper ahead of others; and one is hungry and another is drunk. This provides the perfect analogy for someone who is so "stuffed full" with there own provision that they are unable to receive from the fellowship of the Lord's Table. I asked that the entire exchange be reviewed. I took it upon myself to review the entire thread this morning, and earlier in the discussion, you and another member (and staff), expressed concerns over what was being stated. You took great efforts to elaborate on those concerns. You both were summarily dismissed, as I have been. I assume that you accept this in light of the fact that others will read and judge for themselves who is rightly dividing the word of truth. I assume that this is what you mean by not ending "fellowship" with someone, even when there is a mockery of the notion. 19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. I am confident that there is enough evidence provided for any third party to judge for themselves and meet the standards that you seem to be striving for, and will let the matter rest. Thank you for your valued feedback, and the time and effort you always put in to bring clarity to the matter at hand. Embracing the future with a blessed hope, James

  21. Ephesians 4:10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.) I find one reference to the "third heaven" in 2 Co 12, and Paul describes it as a place where things are heard that cannot be repeated, as they are unlawful. You make repeated reference to the third heaven and things that pertain thereof, as if you have been shown them. Have you received a heavenly vision, or are you extrapolating these things from various references to spiritual entities mentioned in the prophets? From the reactions of others, there seems to be little clarity on the matter. In spite of lengthy statements elaborating on their concerns for how you are interpreting these verses, you simply repeat your quote from Hebrews 11, which is clearly not an answer. By experience, I conclude this is a regular tactic of yours to be answerable to no one on the forum. You provide illustrations without reference, should I assume they are your own? Are they derived from your heavenly vision? Have you been taken up to the third heaven yourself, to speak as if you know these things directly?

  22. Indeed that's what it appears to me as well. I didn't really connect with that idea until I read 2 Peter 3. That was a eye opener. Then Peter refers to the current condition of earth, after the restoration in Gen 1:2ff, which will be destroyed by fire after the MK.

  30. And humans, chimps and bonobos are placed in their own subcategory on genetic and anatomical grounds. And great apes are in their own subcategory, and all apes in another, and so on. All eukaryotes share more DNA in common than the differences. So that's not surprising. We all function pretty much the same ways, biochemically. The interesting thing is if we build phylogenies based on DNA, they are very close to the same tree of life that Linnaeus found over 200 years ago, based on anatomy.
