Preach the “ Good News” that saves if believed . That would be that you are a sinner who needs a Savior.If you believe in the death, burial and resurrection of that Savior whose name is Jesus, you will be saved.Add to this promise from Jesus and you are in jeopardy of finding yourself “ accursed”.Be very careful of how you handle Paul’s Gospel....God’s Word says you will be judged by your response to it —-Faith in the Gospel plus nothing for your salvation.

I would highly reccommend squeezing the first 10 chapters of Romans and the short book of Galations into your readings.Read John to see who Jesus is, then discover God’s plan of salvation revealed to Paul in the book of Romans.Then read the small book of Galations to make sure you know how to believe the Gospel and it ONLY to maintain your Salvation.

If, in turn he has a tract that’s titled “How To Serve Humans” , head for the hills! A little humor there for all the “ Twilight Zone” fans out there.

Having been raised in a Methodist Church I can attest to the fact that they sing it but they don’t believe it.Like most churches.I heard a preacher read from a survey that had been done.It revealed 50% of Methodists did not believe in the Resurrection .Not trying to pick on Methodists.....other churches fared worse.

According to Paul, it is by BELIEVING his Gospel and not adding to it is the manner for Salvation this side of the Cross, the Age of Grace in which we live today .It is what God will judge us by. It is hidden from those that are lost.Faith in the finished work of the Cross.Plus Nothing.God bless

You read waaaaaaaaay too much into the Harley brake analogy( btw, brakes worked great this evening, thanks for your prayers lol) I could have talked about the trust we put in chairs ,gas pedals,or even the belts we trust to hold up our Levi’s .So easily we trust in the mundane things of everyday life, but many,many times we are scared to step out in faith regarding a promise of God—- a God who can not lie. I agree that no man comes to God On his own..”anyone can come , but no one comes lest the Spirit draw him” The initiative starts with God.The Holy Spirit must create the contrite heart that is ready to cry out for the Gospel thAt will save him.The unsaved man needs to repent—- not of his sins—— but turn (repent) to God and God will turn to him.Nowhere in the KJV Bible doe it say to repent from sins in order to be saved. The Greek word the translators called “ repent” means to “ have a change of mind”. ....changing one’s mind from your self- righteousness thinking of your works to His Grace as being His way of salvation. 1 Cor15:1-4 has the repentance God demands for salvation built into it .If you believe the first half of the Gospel—“Jesus died for our sins” that shows you see yourself as a lost sinner who needs a Savior. THAT is repentance for Salvation.Daily repentance will occur after one is saved.Anytime our “ old man” overcomes our “ new nature” we need to repent of those sins and confess them.Not to stay saved , but to restore peace of mind and fellowship with God.An unrepentant Believer is going to have a hard time getting his prayers answered if he sins and remains unrepentant.

God made a promise..”turn to me and I will turn to you”. That simple .It worked back in the days of the Bible....it still works today.....I know it ......it worked for me.You are in my prayers.God bless

The first verse of James reveals to whom he was speaking— the scattered 12 tribes of Israel.....saved Jews who were sitting on their hands, quite content to let the time pass,believing THE END was coming any day .James was only doing the same thing that Paul would have done had he been in the same situation— exhorting them to do the good works they had been saved to do. “ Saved UNTO GOOD WORKS” was His he put it. Not to get saved, but because they were saved they were to get off their duffs and perform the only commandment we are under today .......LOVE ONE ANOTHER—- obey that and you have fulfilled ALL the commandments in the O.T. Doing that will not save you but God is VERY interested to see you do what He died for you to do.There is more to salvation than just making it to Heaven .

“The righteous shall LIVE by FAITH” not spend a lifetime “ fighting sins”.

Paul said this,not me......Paul said nothing in his epistles that Jesus did not tell him to.The Holy Spirit,in fact, is behind every word that the Bible says.Paul, Moses, Peter, etc. were merely secretaries who put pen to paper.Jesus, not Paul of course paid the price for all the sins of the world—- Paul shows us how to “ cash in.” Jesus revealed to Paul the “ Mysteries” that hitherto were unknown to the world.We need to follow the Marching Orders Of Jesus when He tells us to follow Paul.God bless.

Perhaps it is fitting that I take this opportunity to expand what I mean by “Faith plus Nothing”.Faith is trust.When I ride my Harley and I come to a busy intersection, I grab the brake and fully trust and believe that by doing this I will come to a safe stop.I don’t really have to think twice .Complete trust.That is what God is looking for.Something He can’t create.Kinda like love.....if you try to demand it, it ain’t love .God desires faith and love that is freely given when we have the freedom to do otherwise .One third of Heaven failed to exhibit faith and we know how well that worked out.” Without faith, it is impossible to please God” The entire population of Heaven will consist of those who believed a promise of God—- That is Faith.The promise of God for the lost sinner in today’s Age of Grace is Paul’s Gospel delivered to him by Jesus. 1 Cor15:1-4. See that you’re a sinner that needs a Savior and believe That Christ was dead, buried and rose from the dead on the third day.Trust in that and that only for your Salvation. God made a promise to save you if you believe that and THAT ONLY.Add your good works to the all- sufficient saving power of Christ’s Blood and you nullify Grace. You are “ fallen from Grace”. The death of Christ is of “ no benefit to you” and you are “ accursed”. That is why I always say “ Faith plus Nothing” for salvation.When one believes “ Jesus saves......but,”you put yourself in dire jeopardy. “The just shall LIVE by FAITH. God bless.

Didnt it get to the point that all that the husband had to do was say “ I divorce you” three times and he was divorced? It all makes me glad we are no longer under Law

Nobody gets it all 100% correct.Saved Christians have much latitude in how they view the Tribulation, the Rapture, etc. I have no problem with any of that.However, when church members add a “but” to Jesus saves my antennae go up.” Jesus saves, BUT you will NOT be saved if you smoke cugarettes.This Doctrine at the least is the Doctrine of “ weak believers” to which Paul referred to in regard to those who thought you had to worship on special,days or refrain from eating certain foods.We are told to put up with them , but never are we told that such types are to rule the church.At the worst, these types could by modern- day Judaizers who are the “ accursed” to whom Paul was referring to those that added a doctrine of works to pervert his Gospel of Grace. I don’t know where the line is drawn, but why put ones self into a state of jeopardy ?Paul said if we simply believe his Gospel and nothing else we will be saved.That is what I do and that’s how I got saved and that is how I stay saved.Any other route is very risky .Faith plus nothing.

Doing what Jesus wants us to do is impossible for any human that I have ever met, if you define what Jesus wants as turning the other cheek , selling all that you own and giving it to the poor or cutting off your hand if it causes you to sin.On the other hand, if you do what he wants you to do when asked that question by the Disciples you would “believe on the One He sent”.That is possible for any human. Works will follow Salvation but they do not save or keep us saved. Cain’s works were not acceptable to God, and God changes not.Pleading to God for Salvation come Judgement Day because of all your “ good works” instead of Christ’s Blood alone will cause you to hear.... “ Depart from me.....” If you think that what Adstar is “ cold” check out what Paul said about adding works to his Gospel....they are perverters of the Gospel......Christ’s death is of NO benefit to them.......they are “ Accursed”, damned by God. If you truly desire to follow Jesus—- do what He said to do.....follow Paul as he follows Christ....simply believe the Gospel.....1Cor15:1-4.....and add to it at your own risk. The first half of the Gospel declares we must believe that Christ “ died for our sins”—— that is the part that Judaizers give lip- service to but don’t really believe it .If you commit a willful sin or die in your sleep without having your Repentence log caught up to date, you are lost.The Gospel is all or nothing—- both halves.
