  1. I think you need these verses to. Hebrews chapter 7 11. If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the law was given to the people), why was there still need for another priest to come--one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? 12. For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law. 18. The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless 19. (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.
  2. Let me show you the way to repent, I think you got almost everything else right though. Matthew chapter 21 32 For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him. Luke chapter 3 7 John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 9 The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” 10 “What should we do then?” the crowd asked. 11 John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.” 12 Even tax collectors came to be baptized. “Teacher,” they asked, “what should we do?” 13 “Don’t collect any more than you are required to,” he told them. 14 Then some soldiers asked him, “And what should we do?” He replied, “Don’t extort money and don’t accuse people falsely—be content with your pay.”
  3. That I didn't know. I've been lied to by pastors, so what can I say, the topic said what do you do when God lies to you, it didn't say when church people do, not everyone in church is a Christian, even if they say they are.
  4. Jesus didn't come to start a new religion, he came to die for our sins, and everyone sins and continues to. 1 Kings chapter 8 verse 46"When they sin against you--for there is no one who does not sin--and you become angry with them and give them over to their enemies, who take them captive to their own lands, far away or near;2 Chronicles chapter 6 verse 36"When they sin against you--for there is no one who does not sin--and you become angry with them and give them over to the enemy, who takes them captive to a land far away or near;Ecclesiastes chapter 7 verse 20Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins.1 John chapter 1 verse 8If anyone claims to be without sin they deceive themselves and the truth is not in them. 1 John chapter 2 verse 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
  5. I don't know if I answered this post yet. Hebrews chapter 6 verse 18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. Notice where it says this. it is impossible for God to lie
  6. I think the book of Job says the most about the devil, here's a little. Job chapter 2 verse 2 And the LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it."
  7. Romans chapter 8 verse 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. I understand though I don't trust doctors. Proverbs chapter 3 verse 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
  8. It's up to God, and even if you do die your going to god. Luke chapter 18 verse 1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. Proverbs chapter 10 verse 12 Love covers all wrongs. 1 Peter chapter 4 verse 8 Love covers a great many sins. I heard of a women, from her grand daughter, who lived 6 years after the doctors gave her 3 months many times. Ecclesiastes chapter 12 verse 7 and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. I don't know how you have lived your life, but most people get 70 or 80 years, some live shorter, but we all go back to god regardless.

    John 16:28

Philippians chapter 1 verse 21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. I look forward to death, that's when the real life begins.
  10. If you always love, and grow in the knowledge of Christ, you will always love and honor God, going to church means nothing by itself, and you can find all kinds of evil in some people in church. Galatians chapter 5 verse 6 The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself in love. Matthew chapter 25 verses 31-46 When the Son of Man comes" in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. he will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right, Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and got visit you? The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.They also will answer, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you? He will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me. Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.
  11. Maybe it's good money doesn't like you. Matthew chapter 6 verse 24 "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. I once loved money, my father taught me to, now I purposely don't hang on to it long.
  12. I got a mental disability when I was 18, when I was 21 I was locked in a state hospital for two years, I read the bible through once during that time, when I got out I tried working fulltime, but when I couldn't work any more I almost ended up homeless. After that I started studying the bible on and off, for about 12 years, and after meeting some bad pastors, who lied and didn't even know it or wanted money to answer my questions, then after that I started studying the bible to see if I could make any sense of it, I just kept studying it, now I've read it well over 100 times, have a mp3 player now and listen to it 2 to 4 hours a day. I'm not saying all pastors are bad, I know there's some good ones, I just can't bring myself to go to church though, I don't know if it's my childhood experience, my illness that's not going away, but is well managed be meds. So since I'm on disability I study the bible, play hymns on the harmonica on the street, and talk to a some people I know, I've always been a loner, but I enjoy studying and playing hymns.
  13. Luke chapter 18 verse 1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.
  14. Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Theirs a lot of things done wrong in the world, look at divorce, even in the church, I'm glad I'm not in school anymore. James chapter 2 verse 10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. But as it says in Ephesians For our struggle is not against flesh and blood
  15. Many years ago, I met a pastor that said he didn't sin, I didn't know it wasn't possible at the time, and thought there was something wrong with me, so I studied the bible many years trying to figure out how to not sin. Right now I have a mp3 player and listen to the bible 2 to 4 hours a day. And I know it's not by law, we're justified but love. Proverbs chapter 10 verse 12 Love covers all wrongs. Romans chapter 4 13 It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. 14 For if those who depend on the law are heirs, faith means nothing and the promise is worthless, 15 because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.
  16. 12 Designate a place outside the camp where you can go to relieve yourself. 13 As part of your equipment have something to dig with, and when you relieve yourself, dig a hole and cover up your excrement. 14 For the Lord your God moves about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, so that he will not see among you anything indecent and turn away from you. This is what I wanted not a persons opinion, there was a place outside of camp, I missed that in what I quoted.
  17. Matthew chapter 9 verse 6 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins." So he said to the paralyzed man, "Get up, take your mat and go home." Unless he doesn't want us to know a priest has authority, to forgive sins. Jesus and his apostles did many miracles to show their authority. But I can't say I'm right, it's just not my belief.
  18. Another verse I thought of 1 Corinthians chapter 13 verse 5, it's speaking about love. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. And if a man loves his wife, he wouldn't hit her, theirs just no excuse for domestic violence.
  19. I don't know what Jesus is saying there, because he died for the sins of the whole world, by this verse. 1 John chapter 2 verse 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. And these next two verses. Proverbs chapter 10 verse 12 Love covers all wrongs. 1 Peter chapter 4 verse 8 Love covers a great many sins.
  20. I don't have anyway of deleting it. Look at what Israel did to Judah. 2 chronicles chapter 28 14 So the soldiers gave up the prisoners and plunder in the presence of the officials and all the assembly. 15 The men designated by name took the prisoners, and from the plunder they clothed all who were naked. They provided them with clothes and sandals, food and drink, and healing balm. All those who were weak they put on donkeys. So they took them back to their fellow Israelites at Jericho, the City of Palms, and returned to Samaria. I'm not trying to pretend I'm anything I'm not. Here's the purpose of the law, no one ever obeyed it. 1 Timothy chapter 1 verse7, 8 They want to be teachers of the law but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm. We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. Galatians chapter 3 verses 24,25,23 So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law. Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed.
  21. Scripture doesn't justify abusing your wife, and you don't deserve a wife if you do that, I think that's a good reason to divorce your husband. 1 Peter chapter 3 verse 7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
  22. They didn't know it caused disease until shortly before the toilet was invented, there were 600,000 men not to mention women and children in the camp how did they find somewhere private, you'd have to walk for many miles to do that.
  23. The camp had 600,000 men not to mention women and children, how do you find some place private to relieve your self, their isn't any, and what about bathing. Please explain since you say I'm using scripture wrong.
  24. I was wrong Jayne proved it, by the bible, not opinion. The bible is the only thing I'll listen to, other wise I'd read the paper.
  25. 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, I'm not saying everyone you see in church will be persecuted. Matthew chapter 7 verse 21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. I think persecution has happened all along, and the USA at one time was mostly Christian, now it's not. At least that's the way I see it.
