  1. I found today's reading very interesting and brought many questions to my mind too. I think the Levites were a living sacrifice as they belonged to the Lord and were given to him as a wave offering. Reminded me of Romans 12: 1 and 2. Interesting the first sacrifice came from the tribe of Judah and the last from Naphtali. (Jesus from the tribe of Judah and Naphtali was the area of Nazareth I think). The lamps with their light pointing outward. Jesus the Light of the World. A few other things too and I need to reread.

  7. This must be so scary. This is not from the Lord. Don't listen to that voice. You need to talk to someone you trust about this. I WOULD talk to the Lord and pray in Jesus name. I would need to talk to my pastor and if you are not better a doctor. Welcome to Worthy. Praying for you right now

  9. Reading from Mark today 8:14-21 The Yeast of the Pharisees and Herod 14 The disciples had forgotten to bring bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat. 15 “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.” 16 They discussed this with one another and said, “It is because we have no bread.” 17 Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked them: “Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened? 18 Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don’t you remember? 19 When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?” “Twelve,” they replied. 20 “And when I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?” They answered, “Seven.” 21 He said to them, “Do you still not understand?” ***********************************************************************************************************************II can relate the 12 to the number of Disciples and the number of the 12 tribes and of course number 7 jumps out as the Day of Rest and I understand it is a number of perfection. (Not sure where I heard that lol) Anyway what do you think Jesus was saying or pointing out? Thanks New International Version (NIV)
  10. Personally, I believe this to be the custom for women (Godly ones) to have their head covered out of respect for God at that time. I could be wrong but this is what I think thus far in my christian walk. I have had no conviction from the Holy Spirit to cover my head ...just saying. At certain times in culture things are wrong or appear sinful and we as christians should try not to look sinful even though we follow God and not the world. If it is thought of as wearing red lipstick your a fallen women or sexually immoral then it's kinda in the same context. This was once the case in history but NOW it does not mean you are sexually immoral because you wear red or any lipstick color. So it does not matter now what lipstick you wear. This is just to look at scripture not saying anyone here is a Pharisee or wicked please don't get me wrong on that. But the Pharisee was surprised to see that Jesus did not first wash before the meal. 39“Now then,” said the Lord, “you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. 40You fools! Did not the One who made the outside make the inside as well?… And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. LUKE 11:39 Romans 14:14 Paul also wrote this: therefore let us stop judging one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother’s way. 14I am convinced and fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean.
  11. Equippers, People are sinners. Some are saved by grace though faith and are born again. Their sins are forgiven and they are a new creature in Christ. But when one is born one still has to grow. Christians are not perfect even though we are believers one day christians will be as He is though and no longer sin at all. Praise God how great that will be. Please don't judge God by humans around you. God is separate from sin and Holy (with out sin) perfect in every way we aren't. While christians are in this life they are in a battle not to sin ... some fall short ( I sure know I blow it sometimes) but God does forgive when one repents. I know you have had many trials so did Jesus and he sympathizes with us he knows how hard it is for us. But christians do have this promise, and many others, that God will use their trials for good (Romans 8:28) I have seen this in my own life. The rubber meets the road. Will you believe God? I am praying that God will help you to believe in Him. That is the most important thing you will ever do. Things are not going my way in some respects in my life but God will work it for good. I trust in his promises even though I don't understand things. I need more time and am in a hurry but I wanted to say this right now. Hugs to you and love, Me
  12. Exodus 8:16 -19 So the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your rod, and strike the dust of the land, so that it may become [j]lice throughout all the land of Egypt.’ ” 17 And they did so. For Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod and struck the dust of the earth, and it became lice on man and beast. All the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt. 18 Now the magicians so worked with their [k]enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not. So there were lice on man and beast. 19 Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the[l] finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, just as the Lord had said. ******************* When I read this I was reminded of creation. The magicians could not replicate this act of God's. They knew God did this! Also I did not realize or if I did I long forgot that this plague came without warning because Pharaoh would not listen when he had relief from the frogs (another miracle and he even choose the timing "tomorrow" he had said to Moses).
  13. Welcome to Worthy! God worked in my circumstances so that I heard the gospel and I believed what I heard and he saved me by His grace. Thank you God! By the way, this is the welcome area. You probably will have more people respond when and if you post your question in the forum.
  14. Those are so cute! lol. But as they more resemble chicks, for me, would feel weird to eat one lol. I love deviled eggs but what a name. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The term "deviled", in reference to food, was a common term in the 1700's. It pertained to spicy or zesty foods. When eggs were prepared in the way we are talking about, a healthy amount of mustard and pepper was used. They became popular and got their name around 1786 here in the U.S.Nov 2, 2017

  17. Galatians 3:28 New International Version (NIV) 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
