I've pulled a sentence out of context??? Please tell me how quoting from the Statement of Faith, what it says about what we believe about the Word of God is wrong or out of context, ...why not read it yourself... What amazes me even more is how can we, guilty sinners, ...can even entertain the thought we can "judge" God's Testimony??? So, ...should I tear out this page in my Bible? All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Tim 3:16 Please notice it says ALL of Scripture, ...that means exactly ALL, every jot and title in the Hebrew OT, and every word in the Greek NT are considered to be, ...given to us , ...recorded for us, ...the high lighted portion is one word, ...theopneustos, in the Greek and it means, ...divinely breathed, ...literally, ...God breathed... Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2 Pet 1:20-21 Isn't it astounding, ...the Holy Spirit knew this question would be asked today and two thousand years ago wrote through the quills of both Paul and Peter, ...the men in question, ...His response to your question... Who's muzzling? I have revealed what the Holy Spirit has said, ...using the Word of God to "correct," ...like the Holy Spirit heard Jesus say to Him. Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all Truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear (Jesus say), that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come. Do you think this question contradicts the Statement of Faith of Worthy Christian Forums? We believe that the 66 books of the Canon, from Genesis to Revelation are the exhaustive, inerrant and inspired word of God.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. What about Judas Iscariot, ...are you saying he was born again? Does the Word not teach the only group of people that are "born again" are living during the "dispensation" of Grace, ...those that are born "into" the Church. So what about all those that have lived before the dispensation of Grace, ...they are "all" saved, ...never having committed the unpardonable sin of rejecting Jesus as their Savior? So what about the rich man and Lazarus, the rich man was saved, ....but being tormented and suffering for 2, 3, 4, centuries now, ...waiting for the Rapture of the Church to be resurrected and receive his new incorruptible body, ...separated from Lazarus who was with righteous Abraham in/on the pleasurable side? You have NOT done that, ...how do I know? Because you "are" thinking, mediating on the Word of God, even if it's the "unpardonable sin," ...that's a part of, ...what's found and written in the Word of God, ...no? The Holy Spirit is the "only" One that can give someone a "reprobate" mind, ...we CAN NOT give ourselves a reprobate mind! Okay, I'm bored, so here is true life experience, ...many here won't believe it, ...but that won't change the facts. While still living in California I needed to go out of town for week for work, the problem was my cat Katy, ...she was a one man, one person cat, she wouldn't go to any men that came to visit and if any women came to visit she would hide under something and when they passed by she would attack their heel and often drew blood! The night before I was to leave I went to the store to by some "road trip" goodies, it was a nine hour drive, and I saw a homeless lady sitting in the shadows, ...I didn't pay much attention to her and went to my pickup and started to drive home, after a couple of minutes of driving I sensed in my heart I needed to go back and buy the lady a meal, so I turned around and went to a restaurant and bought their dinner special and took it to her and went home. Katy, as usual, was waiting at the door for me, ...what was I going to do with/for Katy? Then a very strong "urge" in my heart was telling me to go back and ask the lady to come and stay in my house for the week. I went back and found her in the same place, told her of my situation and would she come and stay in my home and take care of Katy, but there was one problem, ....Katy didn't like women, ...she said that wouldn't be a problem, she liked cats. Yeah right, she didn't know Katy! It was nighttime and dark so I didn't get a good look at her until she was in my home, she was CLEAN, she was an older lady with a smile on her face (Dennis, my friend, we were both "intrigued" with her smile, it was so calming and peaceful), ...and she was wearing heavy woolen socks, ...this just might work after all! Shortly after arriving home a dear brother came over and offered to take care of Katy, that is give her food and water and clean her liter box, I told him that wouldn't be necessary and introduced him to the lady (funny thing is, we never knew her name). Dennis went "off," took me outside and scolded me, ...told me she would steal everything of value in my house and probably kill Katy the first thing, ...I told him I had a peace about it and she was staying... I had a three bedroom house, the lady was in one so when I left before dawn I didn't see her, said goodbye to my Katy and left. Dennis called me the next day and told me he had gone by my house and the "bag" lady was still there. LOL Two days later he called me again, told me he had gone inside to see what was missing and told me I wouldn't believe this,...the "bag" lady was sitting in a chair, my chair in the front room , ...and Katy was on her lap being stroked by the "bag" lady, he was right, ...I didn't believe it! I had left on Monday morning and was finished by Friday so I called Dennis and told him I would drive home on Saturday and would see him in church on Sunday, he told me he had gone by my house earlier and the "lady" was gone, said I wouldn't believe my house, ...I asked him if that was good or bad, he reassured me it was good. When I arrived home I was apprehensive when I opened the front door, Katy was there waiting for me, meowing and rubbing against my legs, WHOA, ...it was like my home had been repainted, the carpet had been cleaned, all of the furniture had been dusted, all of the cabinets and drawers were in perfect order, arranged perfectly, my clothes were all clean and hung in the closet and in the drawers, my home was so, so, ...CLEAN!!! The next morning when I pulled into the church parking, Dennis was waiting for me, said he had something to tell me, ...I said, "Dennis, my house!" He said, "There's more!" He was good friends with the Sheriff in our town and he asked them about the "bag" lady living in the Commercial Center, they assured him there hadn't been any "homeless" living in the center, ...they checked it many times during the night with the spotlight on the cruiser and even walked the sidewalk with a flashlight checking the doors, ...there were NOT any homeless living in the center or anywhere else in town! What could we say, we went into the church and after the Worship the pastor said, "I had today's sermon all planed, but early this morning the Lord told me to teach on this verse, ...please turn in your Bibles too Hebrews 13:2...., Dennis was sitting in front of me on the left and he turned around and our eyes met! Now before any try to tell me there are not any female angels, I suggest you do an exhaustive study of the meanings of the words Jesus used in Matt 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Also, how would feel if you "knew" your daughter's angel was a male angel "observing" her at every "private" and "intimate" moment as she was growing up? Do you really think you are more "Holy" than God? Lord bless

What we do is allow the Holy Spirit to guide and lead us, may I humbly suggest you use this "method" and we can guarantee you will personally experience what Jesus taught us and the Holy Spirit actually working in your life... Jesus said, "It's better (more rewarding) to give than receive!" Try letting the Holy Spirit control your money and you " will" be blessed! Lord bless

Dear brother, do you "believe" John 3:16? If so, why not "believe" what God is saying to you in Psalms 91? "Believing," trusting, having faith in, confidence in, ...GOD's Word is the "key" to your problem with/of fear! Very important to not only learn, but to appropriate into your life, your walk of faith in/with your Lord is; ...faith and fear can not cooexist together, ...period!!! Fear will always destroy faith an make it useless, but on the other hand, faith will always "overcome" fear and rend it impotent. Read Psalms 91 and make it your own, "own" it like you "own" the Truth that Jesus is God, no one can take that from you can they, no amount of teaching, convincing talk, ...nothing can take that away from you can it, ...why, ...because you "own" it, it's a Biblical Truth and fundamental principle. Read the last three verses of the Psalm, it's Father talking to you, ...be honest with Him, cry out to Him, ...Father I believe, ...help me with my unbelief, ...He won't leave you helpless, ...He will come to your aid and He will give you His peace that goes way beyond our human understanding, ...brother, there are multitudes of His children all over this planet that are believing in His promise to them in Psalms 91, ...and there are some that do not and are living in the "snare" of the devil, ...why not come and join us who are at home, hidden in His "secret" place covered with/by His Loving protection. Yes brother, the word "know" is an excellent, fulfilling, rewarding "word" study, ...for example, my Lord told me: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32 What do I "know," ...I "knew" my father and my mother after living with them for a couple of decades, ...I "knew" my daughters for about a decade, ...but now, because of separation, I don't "know" them any more, I only "know" about them, I "know" my bride, because I've been living with her for the last 25 years. And I "know" my God because I have been living "with" Him for 34 years, ...if you were to tell me my parents were gangsters because they lived during that era, I would "know" that is not the truth, ...if you were to say my daughters were mentally handicapped during their younger years, I would "know" that is not the truth, ...if you said my bride is cheating on me, I would "know" that is not the truth, ...because I am living with her, I "know" her character, her good points and her bad points, I "know" what she likes and what she doesn't like, I "know" her "intimately" on all levels, physical, emotional and spiritual. I "know" the truth about my God, why, because our relationship is profound, He is my Father and I know Him in that manor because He has taken such good care of me, ...for 37 years before I even "knew" Him, He was there protecting me, taking care of me, ...why, He even intervened in my life while I was still in the womb of my 15 year old teen age mother from having a back ally abortion, I can look back over those 37 years and see how He was "working" behind the scene in my life, protecting me, providing for me, using my prideful will and ambition to form and prepare me to be able to live the life He was going to call me to today, ...I can look back like Paul said, and see Him working in my life from the day I was born, and now, ...there is no separation as there was before, I can say from my heart in true faith and confidence, "I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine! Song 6:3 Yes, I have sinned willfully in these last 34 years of being His child, ...He didn't take "off" His gloves ready to "box" me, no! ...like Peter, warming himself by the fire with the rest of the world, ...He just "looked" at me! Luke 22:61 I saw "in" His eyes, ...His Love, Mercy and Grace for me, and I wept, ashamed and regretting my willful act, ...and just like the woman "caught," ...I "understood" His words, "Go, and sin no more," I understood that I wasn't going to "live" a sinless life from that day forward, ...but rather, I now have the Holy Spirit living inside of me, I don't have to sin, even when my "desire" is stronger than my "intellect," ...because the Holy Spirit can "overcome" my old carnal nature, my worst enemy, ...still "alive" in me. What I have learned in these 34 years of "living" with my God, ...there are many who "know" about God and speak what they "think" they know, ...and then there are those who "actually" live "with" God and "know" Him personally and intimately, He talks with us, reasons with us, encourages and comforts us and the "result" of this personal and intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father is: If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:36 We are not swayed by the opinions of others, we "know" our Father and we are "free" from any condemnation! Rom 8:1 We know from our own personal relationship with Him He uses His "rod and His staff" to discipline us, ...never, never His hands, and His "discipline" always comforts us, ...never, never scares, intimidates or threatens us, ...His hands are used "only" to love on us, ...we "know" those hands that are holding us will one day "be" used to punish, ...the unbelieving, evil, wicked Christ rejecting ones: It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Heb 10:31 Beloved brothers and sisters, to them He will be God, for us He is our Loving Heavenly Father, ...we are not "falling, ...we are being "held" in the hands of "our" living God. Lord bless

Sorry friend, your title and your thread are a total "turn off" for me. My father was a boxer and when he was mad, angry at me he always threatened me with "putting on" his gloves and "boxing" me! Because of that I had a extremely hard time "relating" to God as a "father;" ...but He loves me, ...understands me and my personality and my problems, ....and is faithful, ...I now "know" my Heavenly Father and He is "nothing" like you portray Him. You mentioned the "prodigal" son, ...but you didn't talk about his loving father that was watching, waiting for his return and because of his great love for his son when he saw him a long way off didn't wait for him to knock on the door, ..oh no, ...he "ran" to greet, take him in his arms and "love on" his son. That portrays the Heavenly Father that has His arms around me. Yes, Father is "shaking" the world and yes some of his children are being shaken by it as they watch their house of cards falling down, ...but all that is necessary is to "believe" in their hearts what He has told them in His Word and they will see they are "firmly" planted, standing on the Rock that cannot be shaken, ...just like our own children when they did something foolish and put their lives in danger, ...but when we had them in our arms again all we could do is sob in relief and hold them tight and our love for them flowed out of our hearts to them in an unspoken manner and and way, ...they "knew" we loved them and they would say on their own, without any provocation..., "I'm sorry daddy." Why not post threads that are uplifting, encouraging, comforting, filled with God's Agape Love for His children, ...why not teach from His Word rather than some book written by man? My I humbly suggest, in the Love of Christ, the advice I learned from my mother, "You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar." Lord bless

Amen brother, ...Isaiah spelled it out for us: To the law and to the (His) testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. Isa 8:20 The Bible is God's "testimony" to us about His Son and what it contains is/are the circumstances in the lives of mankind for the last 6,000 years and He tells us why we "need" Him.
