  1. As the title indicates it was being streamed live at the time of the post of unknown duration. Also, the title explains everything. Too bad you missed it. Was an inspiring event. -Pv-
  2. Edited by Omegaman 3.0 Hi PV, I had to delete your video. Videos are only allowed in our video section. You could try to post it there, and there is some chance that it would get approved, but I would not gen my hopes up too high. The thing is, a staff member would have to watch the video in order to gage whether the video is appropriate for our site. Our staff are regular people with regular lives, and most likely at an hour and 20 minutes long, no one is likely to want to devote their limited time to watching the video. Usuallly, a video of under 10 minutes will make it, in some cases up to 20, beyond that, not so much!

  4. Trump did NOT suggest to people they inject disinfectant. This is fake news and the MEDIA with those who echo them are responsible for anything that happens. Proverbs 6:16-19 There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. Proverbs 16:28: "A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends." Proverbs 18:2 "A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion." Proverbs 18:8: "The words of a whisperer are like delicious morsels; they go down into the inner parts of the body." Proverbs 29:9 "If a wise man has an argument with a fool, the fool only rages and laughs, and there is no quiet." Matthew 12:36: "I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak" 2nd Corinthians 12:20: "For I am afraid that when I come I may not find you as I want you to be, and you may not find me as you want me to be. I fear that there may be discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, slander, gossip, arrogance and disorder. " James 1:26: "Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless." Ephesians 4:29: "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear." 1 Peter 4:15,16 "Make sure that none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler; but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name." 2 Timothy 2:15-17: "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness, and their talk will spread like gangrene." -Pv-

  6. There is too much alarmist over-reacting to the actual threat: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/new-york-coronavirus-death-drop-cuomo Countries like Italy who are two to three weeks ahead of us in the infection curve are now starting to taper off. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/04/trump-warns-lot-death-covid-19-battle-live-updates-200404232003006.html Why people are misunderstanding the relationship between infections and death: https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/04/we-could-be-vastly-overestimating-the-death-rate-for-covid-19-heres-why/ https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20200401-coronavirus-why-death-and-mortality-rates-differ If you go by the latest official numbers the DETECTED INFECTIONS vs death rate is 9% (not 37%) BUT this has to be understood that the actual DETECTED INFECTIONS is many times this. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/ The real death rate is likely to be less than 0.1% BECAUSE WE KNOW WITH CERTAINTY how many people have DIED with the disease, but we don't know how many have been infected and recovered or no symptoms at all. -Pv-

  8. " 1 Corinthians 2 King James Version (KJV) 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." I think this verse is taken out of context to argue civil authority should be disobeyed because they are of the world and not spiritual. Back up a bit: 1 Cor 2:1-13 "Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual." This is not an advocacy to rebel against the government because they are not Godly. Rather the purpose of these verses is to argue Jesus and the Apostles are teaching about a Spiritual place with Spiritual rules which are hidden from non-Spiritual people. Again, the argument here is people who are not spiritual will not understand spiritual things when preached to and will reject them as they rejected Jesus. There is a common trap when using individual scripture to argue a point which is then given correction and balance in other portions of scripture such as: 1 Timothy 6:2 "Those who have believers as their masters must not be disrespectful to them because they are brethren, but must serve them all the more, because those who partake of the benefit are believers and beloved. Teach and preach these principles. If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment." I Peter 2:15 "For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men." Romans 9:14 "What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be! For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy." Galatians 5:13 "For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another." Romans 13:1-14 "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed..." -Pv-
  9. We are to obey civil authority: Romans 13:1-14 "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience. ... " -Pv-
  10. This seems an odd way to phase the question since "criminals" by definition are those who disobey civil authority. If anything, since more people are home defending their stuff, I suspect burglaries are down. pickpockets are probably losing income. Are street druggies staying home when they do not have one? If people murder, thieve, deal drugs, drive drunk or any of the other things they do in total disregard for other people, why should they suddenly start respecting other people in a pandemic? Consider the hoarders. Are they putting other people before themselves? Consider the former PTL leader selling false silver "cure" being prosecuted by the state. Consider those who bought 10s of thousands of facemasks and put them in warehouses to sell at inflated prices the Feds had to confiscate. -Pv-
  11. The New Testament has as much or more to say to us about these times as the old: We are to obey civil authority: Romans 13:1-14 "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience. ... " What does obedience look like? It looks like contentment and respect, not strife: 1 Timothy 6:2 "Those who have believers as their masters must not be disrespectful to them because they are brethren, but must serve them all the more, because those who partake of the benefit are believers and beloved. But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment." Doing what is right in God's sight is more important than what we think is right even if it seems foolish to the mob: I Peter 2:15 "For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men." God chooses who wins and looses in the game of life. Romans 9:14 "What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be! For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy." Self sufficiency is not going with the mob when there is a crisis but being prepared ahead of time and not enslaving others to our own desires: 2 Corinthians 11:6 "But even if I am unskilled in speech, yet I am not so in knowledge; in fact, in every way we have made this evident to you in all things. Or did I commit a sin in humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you without charge? I robbed other churches by taking wages from them to serve you; and when I was present with you and was in need, I was not a burden to anyone; for when the brethren came from Macedonia they fully supplied my need, and in everything I kept myself from being a burden to you, and will continue to do so." Put serving ahead of personal gain. Hoarding devours one another: Galatians 5:13 "For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another." -Pv-
  12. "You cannot call yourself a Christian and not teach what He taught." ... and actually BE one. The difference is vast. -Pv-
  13. "...couldn't beleive the comments and attitudes they heard" The easy with no repercussion ability to chat in social media could give anyone the impression the opinions of the few represent the opinions of the many. For me, when people of the world express their opinions on social matters with no Biblical or as mentioned with uninformed scriptural exegesis, it has no weight for me. -Pv-
  14. Interpreting the Old Testament by itself without the new wine of the New Testament, Jesus and the Apostles is the surest way I know for a Christian to get tripped up in the Law and Judgement. Racial bigotry in all its forms were not practiced by Jesus, the Apostles or the first Church. You cannot call yourself a Christian and not teach what He taught. -Pv-
  15. "prevent others from discussing facts and coming to terms with what IS happening, is evidence of fear, not faith. " "are you thinking like one". I'm in no position to "prevent" anyone. Having a different opinion is not communism or even thing like one where conformity of thought, speech and action and the definition of communism as well as political correctness. It's popular to be alarmist and spread anxiety supporting news in the name of "truth." If anything, I'm the non-conformist here. Luke 12:22 "And He [Jesus] said to His disciples, “For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds! And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life’s span? If then you cannot do even a very little thing, why do you worry about other matters? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; but I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you? You men of little faith! And do not seek what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not keep worrying. For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things. But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added to you. Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom. “Sell your possessions and give to charity; make yourselves money belts which do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near nor moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
  16. "Hope you not thinking like the communist and withhold information from the people. It must me shared and truthfully. " No I'm not a communist and even if I were, I'm in no position to "withold" from anyone while living in a free society. If the government or other people were actually hurting others, I consider this important information so it could be stopped. In this case, it's trying to re-enforce to those who already have media-fueled anxiety they have something to worry about and should panic and hoard. This is unhealthy. -Pv-
  17. Pandemics have been around since recorded history. People fear what they do not understand. Coincidence? No. Rather it's an easy sell in a long long line of snake oil predictions. "There is nothing to fear but far itself" and if you consider yourself one of the faithful, God also tells us to not fear and to not spread fear. Every thread starter on this site which encourages speculation, conspiracy, mistrust, selfishness, hoarding and suspicion is destructive, not productive. "...And it is killing more of the people who happen to get infected with it..." As a general statement this is not instructive or accurate. So far in the USA, the death rate vs recovery is 0.1%. Eventually Everyone in the world will get this virus as nearly everyone gets the other flu and cold viruses. Only the elderly with underlying conditions are at high risk. The rest of us will not know we have it or will think it's a common cold or flu. For those like myself who gets the flu vaccine every year, this one too will get added to the yearly cocktail. Predictions of calamity are easy and cheap requiring only a suggestion to create anxiety in others. Predictions of recovery and prosperity however costs and is hard requiring bravery. Be brave. Do the hard thing. Resist the Devil and his fear mongering. Take the high road. Be an example of courage. Think about the future when this (like all the other plagues) are behind us. Do you want to be remembered as one of the few brave who resisted the mob mentality, or one of the mob? -Pv-
  18. UN. Garbage in. Garbage out. -Pv-
  19. Crisis produces innovation by those who are smart entrepreneurs. While sit-down restaurants are temporarily limited, drive through is booming and cannot hire enough people. Even sit down restaurants are offering drive through in their parking lots. Stop looking down and look up. What innovation can YOU create to help your community to fill a need. Can you organize a neighborhood food and paper product drive for the elderly? Can you knock on doors to ask if people need help running an errand? Can you collect old unwanted board games or game drives to take to families stuck at home with each other? Is there a home garden you've been putting off? Now is the time. I'm sure everyone here has more and better ideas. STOP BLAMING OTHERS and be part of the solution instead of part of the problem. -Pv-
  20. Threads like this are more destructive than instructive despite the statement of being well intentioned. Bad news spreads faster and easier than good news which is human nature. God asks us to NOT give in to our nature and instead show the power of God. Instead of a thread about shortages, there should be threads about giving, resourcefulness, sharing, self denial, confidence while looking at the future instead of today. Instead of highlighting the shortage of hand sanitizer in the stores, there should be home recipes for making your own: 2/3 cup 99% rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or ethanol 1/3 cup aloe vera gel 8-10 drops essential oil, optional (such as lavender, vanilla, peppermint or grapefruit) Bowl and spoon Funnel Recycled liquid soap or hand sanitizer bottle Directions: Mix the ingredients in a bowl and stir with a spoon. Use the funnel to pour the liquid into the empty bottle. Instead of a thread about shelves being empty, create a thread on how my cup is full and over flowing. -Pv-
  21. Luke 6:26 "But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." Romans 12:12 "Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation. Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men." James 3:8 "But no one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God; from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be this way. Does a fountain send out from the same opening both fresh and bitter water? Can a fig tree, my brethren, produce olives, or a vine produce figs? Nor can salt water produce fresh." -Pv-
  22. Wonderful to see someone quote Corrie. She seems almost forgotten in our time. -Pv-
  23. In these times and where I live, this is the motto of the hoarders. Unlike the ant who built up food and shelter when times were good, the grasshopper eats everything in sight wherever the hoard flies. What does a widow on fixed income think when standing in front of empty shelves while 400 ft lines of people who have jobs push two carts of eggs and microwave popcorn over-flowing onto the floor? The grasshopper says to itself: "I will fill my belly for tomorrow there will be no grass." The ant says to itself: "I will work hard all season long for the good of my brothers and sisters so if the grass withers, we will all have plenty." The hoarders say to themselves: "Tomorrow there will be nothing so I have to take what I can get so I can continue to live the life to which I'm accustomed and deserve." The faithful say to themselves: "And He [Jesus] said to His disciples, “For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Sell your possessions and give to charity; make yourselves money belts which do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near nor moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." - Luke 12:22 I walked down isle after isle of abandoned carts loaded with food. Frozen and refrigerated meats thawing in the baskets which people abandoned to waste. The shelves appeared empty because the store employees could not restock the shelves from the abandoned food quick enough. This abandoned waste could only happen in a people who have more than they need. -Pv-
  24. This virus is not a precursor, prelude or anything else signalling the end of the world. I keep seeing comments no one has the answers so all the ones answers are expected from are suspect. What kinds of answers are these people expecting? Obviously answers no one can give so accept what they do know and follow the same advice which has kept people alive for thousands of years. Worse things than this has happened to the US and the world. The panic buying now will end the same way it does during floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, invasions, etc. Eventually everyone will realize it's not the end of the world and quiet down. How do I know it's not the end? Matthew 24:25 "Behold, I have told you in advance. So if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them. For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be." Matthew 24:36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone." Matthew 24:44 "For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will." 2nd Thess 2 "Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God." It would solve a lot of problems for me if it were today or tomorrow but no. The present calamities of this world are not even a shadow, hint or suggestion of what is to come. For those who are sold out to the anti-christ who purchase their comfort from him with their very souls, even they will suffer and the elect will suffer even more everywhere. As long as people are proclaiming the end with such fervor, I know the time is not yet near let alone there are many many scriptures which are not yet fulfilled. Precursor? No. Prelude? No. This is not even suffering. Certainly not on the scale the destroyer intends and is being given far too much credit much bowing and boot licking. -Pv-
  25. "it would be prudent to get your items you need while they still can be found. " This is the kind of thinking which creates the shortages in the first place. Instead of joining the crowd, resist and the supply chain will soon catch up. The UK is an area of the world where the US has not imposed travel restrictions. This infers to me the US government has high confidence the UK is making good decisions and the risks are being managed well there. I have not even visited stores in the last 10 days when when I go, I will not be attempting to purchase any of the items people are trying to horde. Soap and water as as good at removing virus contamination as anything else. Anti-bacterials do not kill viruses. Washing the viruses off your hands is as effective.
