  1. Awwww thank you love! You too!!!
  2. For the past 20 years, our family has said grace before a meal in every public place, whether we had guests or not. I have never noticed anyone that anyone has ever stared. We have had people come up and tell us that it was a blessing to see our family bowing our heads in prayer. We have had the wait staff see us in prayer and stand at our table their heads bowed also waiting until we were finished to place something on the table. I've never had a bad experience ever, and even if I did, it would not stop me from giving thanks to our Lord. We do keep the prayer short and my husband speaks in a softer tone because this is our heartfelt thanks to God, our personal offering to Him, not for others.
  3. I am a firm believer that God gives us beauty for ashes, if you can find God speaking to you through this, Praise His Name! Yes very sad story, this wife and these children will need much prayer.

I know I have sirloin in the freezer, but never used that in stew before. I have been answering posts here on the boards, writing messages, drinking coffee as I do it. My cats were not very affectionate today so I sent them out of the room. I now see an one orange paw under the door lol (Pahleeeeeeeeeeeeeeze mommy let me in) He can work his cuteness powers on me really well! Hugsssssssssssss too all! Sue

  10. I am so thankful for my Pastor of over 20 years. He lives what he preaches, and is a gentle and wonderful man. We need to always keep our Pastor's in prayer constantly, they are attacked and rarely get ministered to because they themselves minister. But still Pastor's are human, they make mistakes, but if trust cannot be restored if unity fails, then I would find a new place to worship. This is my opinion only and the precious Holy Spirit needs to guide your footsteps, you never know if you were put there to bring restoration and to be used by God in such a time as this. I will be praying for you because it is such a difficult situation. Our church, the people become our family. Hugs in Jesus, Sue

  14. God uses animals, from the very beginning, He, Himself sacrificed animals to give their hides as garments to Adam and Eve after they sinned He has used domestic animals in my life to bring joy, to warn of danger, to keep the rodent population down, etc
  15. Oh I've been seeing commercials for this! Thanks!
  16. My girlfriend is not allowed to share Jesus to her patients at the hospital she works at, so she bought a pin and wears it on her uniform, when people ask, she is free to share what it means (Not sure what the symbol is) A minister friend of ours wears a question mark tack pin on his clothing, people often ask him what the meaning is, and he tells them "It's the most important question you can anwer" They always want to know what it is and he says "When you die, are you going to Heaven?" He never accepts maybe, or I hope so, and witnesses to them on how they can know that that know. He has lead many people to the Lord through this pin.

  19. I was an uncertified, unqualified, uneducated art teacher in grades K-12 in a private school years ago. I had so much love & compassion for my students. Art was one of the few things we discussed in class. The younger kids needed attention the older kids wanted to be understood. I am not sure about the higher grades, but in two private schools my daughter attended, while she was K-3 she did not have certified or eduated teachers, and these women impacted her life! The kids in those classes had the highest state testing scores in the school district. I had become friends with several of the teachers since I worked at the one school, and these teachers were not there for the money (at times they didn't even get paid) or the glory, they were there to make a difference. And they did!
  20. Shampoo, liquid laundry detergent, liquid dishwasher detergent, etc... when empty, I add 1/4 cup of water to the bottle shake vigorously, then turn the bottles upside down, let sit, next use you will find you have thick usable liquid that you would have otherwise thrown away. Cotton clothing like white T shirts, especially mens, are great as rags instead of using paper towels, they can be laundered with your whites or towels and used over and over again. Crumbled up newspaper is excellent for washing windows, use window cleaner or white vinegar mixed with water as your spray on cleaner. No lint or streaks!!! A thick, about an inch thick of newspaper, not the glossy pages, can be used as landscape fabric to control weeds. Be sure to over lap edges and to throughly soak with water from hose before placing your mulch on top. Over time the newspaper will compost itself adding nutrients to the soil, will last an entire season and I have had beds last a year or two. When the newpaper has broken down, start the process over again for weed free beds and gardens. Using clumping cat litter actually saves you money than using the cheap stuff that you toss out every week. The clumping stuff is more expensive but will save money overall. I save bread wrappers, the wax bags inside cereal boxes, empty cat food bags, etc. and put them by the cat litter boxes, when I scoop the boxes, I grap one of those bags, then seal and toss in trash can every day. Only use your dishwasher when it's completely full!! Wash Full loads of laundry. Half loads take the same about of time in the washing machine using energy. Check your owners manual for your car, make sure what grade of gasoline is right for your car. For years we used a higher, more costly grade that was not recommended for that make of car! You can save so much at the pumps! Wow, I have so many, will post more at a later date
  21. A very happy morning to you too!!!
