  1. Well, actually, I hope your sitting down for this, but I'm on your pastors side on this one. Ok, ok, let me explain before you stone me. Your right, God does say we are not given a spirit of fear. But, what does that mean? Do you run down the interstate at rush hour doing 120 mph with no seatbelt? Do you run at the pool? When your at the zoo do you try to pet the tiger? Not living as a slave to fear doesn't mean we take needless risks. And his statement about protests? He's not wrong. There's going to be many. And chances are most, especially in more rural communities will be peaceful. However, in today's world, with the amount of division, chances are some will escalate to violence. Especially when it comes to trump. So for your pastor to say be careful, it seems to be sound advice. Along the lines of "drive safe" or other such well wishes. He's stating a fact, there will be many protests. And some of these protests could indeed be violent. So common sense says to be cautious, and unless your feeling called to engage the protestors, give them a wide berth. I really don't think he was saying to live in fear, just exercise some basic caution in a time where there's an increased risk of violence.
  2. I know your probably not going to want to hear this, but, here's the thing. I gather your still living with your family right? And it's toxic? Well have you considered putting school on hold so you can find your own place and get your kids out of that toxic environment?
  3. Not a surprise. Hopefully Israels strike knocked some sense into their heads, though it's not likely. Won't be long before the anti semites and pro Palestine crowd starts hating on Israel, even though all Israel did was try and avoid getting nuked.
  4. It can be argued that He did, certain Gospels say that Judas repented. Whether that just means he repented to God, or just to the high priests out of guilt is up for debate.
  5. I find it interesting that worthy doesn't mention the fact that they didn't seem to inclined to do anything until they heard trump was sending in the national guard...
  6. Oh, I see them all the time lol. But, it's not illegal to sell your product.
  7. I agree, it's wrong to sue the gun manufacturers. They don't control how they're used. They should sue the people who sold the guns to the cartel-being the US government.
  8. If they are I don't disagree, however they were ordered deported within hours of him being caught, that's not enough time to do a proper investigation or trial to confirm that is the case. At the rate they were picked up with was petty to me. I'm 100% for deporting illegals -but I'm also for due process.
  9. Good. The deportation seemed rather petty to me, a knee jerk reaction to the terrorists actions. If a proper investigation shows they had a part in it, they need jailed (at least the adults) with the terrorist. If they were complacent (knew but weren't directly involved, just didn't say anything) then deport them. But if they had no knowledge whatsoever then they should be treated in accordance to the law, not kicked out just because we're mad at the guy.
  10. He's right in the function like handguns in that you pull a trigger and it goes boom. But the other side is also right in that they go beyond the realm of self defense and enter the realm of a combat capable weapon. Don't get me wrong they certainly can be used for self defense. But they're not drastically different from their military counterpart. The issue is how they're viewing the intent of the second amendment, not their definition of a firearm and it's uses. According to the intent of the original second amendment, we should be able to own the exact same weapons the military does. I.e. combat capable weapons. That would include the military versions of the ARs, not just the watered down versions available on the market. We should also be able to buy things like the fully auto M249 Saw or even a fully operational tank, for that matter.
  11. Life of a former US president? Isn't trump the current US president or did I miss something?
  12. Lol what money tucked away? We are how many trillions in debt? If it weren't the US government we'd be bankrupt several times over. I think the only reason we're not is the people holding the loans don't have the firepower to call them and get away with it.
  13. Why was it even going under the bridge in the first place? Did no one think to check clearances ahead of time?
