Since I can't post in other boards I am using this one to maybe get some help.

I suffer for major depression. Despite the fact that I ,thank God, am able to have a full time job it hits me hard when i am home.

Most of the time I barely do some cleaning and quick cook for my son. I am a sincere born again christian but some times

I wonder if since God promissed a peace that surpasses all understanding why don't I have it? Why do I become so anxious

we events that other people will not think twice about it? Why my mood is so vulnerable? Do I really belong to the Lord

or am I delirious?

Lori

I am a Christian and I suffer from major clinical depression. I know I belong to the Lord, but I have wondered about the same things as you.

Sister Lori, Bless you beloved, I too have suffered with this as also my mom and sister. I have now been off my medication for 8 years but I thank God that there was some medication to help me. Not that Our Great Physician cannot, and He has helped me sooo much Praise His name.

I know that Satan likes to attack our minds but being a nurse i also know that we can suffer from chemical imbalances as well, not to mention hormonal imbalances ect...

If i may, i would like to share a verse from the scriptures that has helped me a lot. It is Phillipians 4:8

Do not let that devil tell you that you are not Gods child. Rebuke him now.

I will be praying for you.

Lori,

Blessings to you!! Christians can and do suffer from depression like anyone else. Prayer is wonderful and you should always call upon the Lord to sustain you and help guide you. That said... you should also have an honest discussion with your doctor and get a good check up - you may have some "situational" depression or something more severe like clinical depression. Both of which can be treated with medication that is right for you. It's easy with work, a home, children and other responsibilities to let yourself get run down. Get that check up and tell your physician about the bouts of depression. God Bless You!!! You are in my prayers!!!!

You say you're a born again believer in Jesus which is great. Are you baptised in His spirit, and pray in your prayer language which gives you the fire and power according to Luke 3:16? Of course, each day we have to confess, repent of, and ask forgiveness for the sins we commit.

Depression is a demonic spirit which started working in your mind. You've opened the"door" to thoughts of anxiety, worry, fear, doubt, etc. which have led to a hopelessness and to thoughts of suicide. Many people are depressed and don't even know it. Even though we may be born again, we still have the unregenerated flesh to contend with. We have to guard the "doors" of our minds and keep ungodly thoughts out by praying, quoting Scripture, etc.

You will get the deliverance you need if you confess, repent, and ask forgiveness for being afraid, anxious, or anything else that has come in because you weren't trusting God to intervene in your life. Then you can get someone who's believes in deliverance to pray for you, or you can pray for yourself, and command the demonic spirits to come out in the name of Jesus. Be specific and name the particular spirit you're casting out. As you start calling things out, the Father will show you others that need to go. However, repentance is the first thing you need to do because the demonic strongholds or power have to be broken in you life. After the deliverance, ask the Father to show you how to guard your mind and crucify your flesh so that you can walk in the spirit 24/7. Believe me, it is possible because our Father resides in us, and that's His desire for each and every believer.

If all this seems weird or strange to you, pray about it. You do not have to take my word for anything, and I have no doubt that the Father will confirm what is truth and what isn't. Also, remember that you have to TRUST Him in every situation and circumstance. If you do this, He will move "mountains" on you behalf.

Hugs,

Darlene

Father,

I thank you for Lori, and that you love her very much. Thank you that you're leading her into a better relationship with you, and I know this because she's in this trial and testing time. All tests and trials are for you to see where we stand spiritually. Continue to lead and guide her life and be bigger to her than she could ever have imagined.

I ask this in the name of I AM.

Depression is a devastating problem. I think most everyone battles it once in a while, but others truly suffer with it. I know quite a few Christians who are very oppressed by it. Sometimes depression is caused by physical troubles (a chemical imbalance for example) and sometimes it is caused by outside pressures. I don't believe it makes your faith be called into question because of this problem. This side of Heaven we all have one problem or another, and depression is one of those problems. From my past observations of friends who have been depressed, I have come to the conclussion that I will never encourage anyone to take medication for it. I will encourage people to try to focus on God's blessings and let them know what about them is special.

Welcome to Worthy. Keep coming here and you will find encouragement and fellowship.

If you have accepted Jesus as your savior, believe that HE died for your sins, rose again and is now sitting at the right hand of the Father, then you are saved. Saying that ...

Depression is not always a demonic spirit oppressing you. It may be an imbalance of chemicals in your body. I would suggest testing to see if this is so or not . If it is, this can be corrected many ways, including something as simple as adjusting your diet.

I do not believe that depression is demoniac spirit. If the Holly Spirit lives in me there is no place for an other spirit.

I am clean by the blood of Jesus.

I am on medications and therapy. I had to slow down with the therapy for financial reasons and transference. As an RN

I know that the problem is chemical and sadly chronic. Since God has cure so many physical illnesses what I am looking

for is the devine cure of my mental condition and I will not stop until he does it.

I agree I do not have a demoniac spirit. I do have the Holly Spirit in me and there is no space for any other. What I have

is an illness that the Lord can cure. I will not stop asking for a cure until he does it. I do take meds what is the reason that

I am able to keep a full time job. Most of the days I can't hardly finish my 12 hours shift as a nurse but by the grace of God

I never have to leave early. Amen

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
