Would GWB have done anything to please the far left?

Again you prove to know nothing about America or its history.

Bush did that constantly and THAT is how we got the economic mess we are in.

You're right, I'm overstepping my bounds here.

No; everyone has a right to express opinions here, as long as you don't insult anyone. Don't let those who want to stifle any opposition drive you away. Whether Canada or the U.S., it's a free country.

That's true, but I shouldn't presume to be an expert on American politics. I am not even an expert on Canadian politics.

I appreciate your soft answer and apologize for playing rough with you. Its the frustration of my concern for our nation being stifled from debate in every other place except this one discussion board.

I try to stay out of debates and threads where I am not well informed on the subjects. I certainly wouldn't go in guns ablazing on sensitive subjects without knowing I can back up any statements I make. And it is never a good idea to jump into the middle of someone else's family squabbles.

I'm tired of people thinking they can justify Obama's destruction of America by simply claiming Bush (or anyone else) did something bad once or twice. There is no comparison because Obama is doing things once and twice per day which will lead to our destruction. Do you know the story about how lobsters will stay in slowly heated water until they are cooked when it reaches boiling? That's a good picture of America right now.

You should understand that I am not a big fan of G W Bush once he left the Governor of Texas. He made too many compromises, and led the way for too many causes I would call "liberal". He wasn't as bad as his father but was never the same Conservative he had been as my Governor.

However, his stance on Islamic terrorist groups who had been using State sponsorship to fight a guerilla war against the United States with impugnity was not only brilliant strategy; it was highly courageous in the face of a world full of cowards.

I love the guy for standing on that, the most important issue of our day, when no one else had the guts to stand.

Obama is trying to go back to the pre-911 of position of letting terrorists push the USA around like a predictable lap dog.

I won't be silent.

Yod,

As a Christian (even though you seem to doubt that) and an American - I am glad you are not silent. One can disagree without being condescending or rude, though. I do not for a second doubt your devotion to Our God or Our Country - but just because one does not agree with all of your views, doesn't mean they are deserving of your derision and anger. You seem very angry to me, Brother. I wish you peace and blessings.

I wouldn't want anyone coronated as messiah except the actual messiah, forever and always Jesus Christ. Obama, Bush, McCain ... these are just men.

And you seem like a good mother but would make a horrible father. I don't doubt your faith and don't understand why you accuse me of that? I don't think I've been rude as much as being very forward in way that you think is impolite. Sorry...I was never much on small talk.

Yes, I am angry. I am angry that many thousands of courageous men died to give us freedom in America and we are pissing on their grave.

And although I am not angry at you, it seems odd that you choose to "correct" me instead of the one who made baseless accusations when they admit to not knowing anything about the subject.

That's OK...I'll keep watch for you. I don't like to fight but the truth is worth it.

"wow...we are really in trouble if your post is a reflection of christian philosophy these days.

The following information comes from a book called "The Bible". It is the Word of God and the final authority as far as I'm concerned."

It was the above comment that to me, conveyed a belief that I am less of a Christian than you and I thought it to be a bit condescending, too. Perhaps you did not mean it in this way. By the way - I was a really good Mother and I was a pretty fair Dad, too. I had no choice but to act as both. My family has made more than it's fair share of sacrifices to protect and honor our country in several different wars and conflicts. Thank you for offering to keep watch for me - I appreciate all the help from Christians I can get - But I have God and feel secure in the unwaivering knowledge that He will Provide and keep us safe. Blessings to you, Yod.

I hate to say it but I don't know why we are so surprised and shocked at this. Obama has been the world's new king since before the election. For me personally, it is sad to see that the world is so shallow and limited in it's thinking. What I hate to see is believers defending this man, who, from the very beginning has allowed himself to be an object of worship. With respect to Obama's so called "faith" in the Lord......all evidence to the contrary.

It would certainly help his personal relationship with God.

In what way would it help his relationship with God. Did God tell you that?

Yeah - the first 2 of the 10 Commandments.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
