I have some statistics for those who like facts. Did you know that it is scientifically proven that all races came out of africa where the original name was the land of kemet or kamit which meant dark skin ? hmmmm... also did you know that in the near future the new race will be the mixed (white and black together- prasie God!) race and that minorities will be the white race? This means that one day we are going to be one big family!!! I wonder what racist people (white or black) think about that? lol

Funny how some science tries to always disprove scripture and people bite! Man was created by God in the Garden of Eden. Trace the boundaries in scripture and you will find that there is just a little of Africa included in the boundaries. I would be interested to see scripture that backs this statement you made.

God is the maker of science and nobody should be mad at that!!! Look at the whole of creation and u cant look at creation without science and if you really want to look at scripture and get technical about it I can show you a WHOLE lot of scriptures that prove that most of the people in there are of african descent heritage. just to name one the king of soloman had dark skin, moses wife was an Ethiopian (africa), but i didnt come here to get into that because that will make a lot of white people on here mad to tell the truth. you read the bible and tell me that God is not interested in science, math , languages, peoples, history, all the things we learn about in school? Everything God has done is backed up by science math ect. etc. ... Where do u think we learned all of this from? and why do u think that the scientists are always amazed at there findings?

and just so you know, I found that article also in the newspaper here where i live in a predominately white republican state. Now why would that be in a "white persons" news paper and not a "black persons news paper" because the world always make sure that white people know what is going on in the world.

It's recent history. It wasn't until the 60's the black people had certain rights that they had to fight for. For Pete's sake, the KKK still exists to this day.

That is almost 50 years. Not recent history. Great advances through affirmative action and quotas (reverse discrimination) have leveled the playing field. Lots just don't want to participate but moan and groan about things they have never experienced. And their "leaders" encourage the despair. As for the KKK, sure they exist. Just as Nazis and black racist organizations exist and operate in the US.

I was also going to write about white people behaving this way but Kemetbeauty beat me to it. What's the white people's excuse? White people have always enjoyed freedom yet have chosen destructive lifestyles. And I don't think there's any good 'excuse' to behave in this way, but at least when you understand the history, you can gain some understanding of why their anger was passed down.

I'm not supporting "white people." I am talking about using past history to justify present situations instead of placing blame where blame should rest. On the shoulders of those who refuse to help themselves although there are helping hands extended out to them. Black and white. White people always free? That's not true and you should know that.

This was not a 'guilt trip' by any means. It was a response to a very response by someone who was racist. It was a means of understanding that if a certain group does have a higher crime rate, it's due to recent history.

Then place blame where it belongs. On individuals, not a class. Stop resting on the past and work for a better today.

You ask 'how long will this be perpetrated? How long will stories of the holocaust be perpetrated? Should we try to forget that too?

Apples and oranges, my friend. Israel is not complaining about the holocaust, they are striving to make sure it never happens again by improving their situation by hard work. I am encouraging those who are living in the past, blaming past injustices for their present situation, to do the same.

It's not 'perpetrating' to speak the truth about the astrocities commited in America. What IS being perpetrated are statements about the mark of Cain and about pointing out statistics about crime's committed by black people and statements about their spiritual disadvantage. As long as these kinds of things are being perpetrated, truth needs to be told. And if some so called Christians are perpetrating these things? This is outrageous.

Atrocities? The atrocity is the slaughter of inner city youth by their fellow human beings; the destruction of a class from the inside. And the use of the word "perpetrated" is appropriate. There is a concerted effort by the leaders of the community to keep past history in the face of the masses in order to explain away and justify poor choices and lack of character. When you don't have respect for human life, then your own life means nothing.

I don't think anyone would say 'what's up with Steven Speilburg continually perpetrating events of the holocaust. And don't tell me they're building ANOTHER monument for Holocaust victims. Can't we all just forget about it?" When it comes to Holocaust victims, we feel humanity needs the reminders, but when it comes to victims of slavery, we all want to forget it happened and reminders are unwanted, unneccessary and disregarded.

There is no comparison between slavery and the mass extermination of 3 million Jews. Still, Jews aren't sitting around complaining about the past, they are focused on today and the future. When they find the perpetrators of the holocaust, they prosecute them and throw them in prison or execute them. But they don't go to Germany and say, "give every Jew, every man, woman and child - even those who weren't alive then - reparations." They are more concerned about improving their standard of living than dwelling on the past. The Germans have apologized for the actions of their forefathers, and the Jews have moved on. Our "white" dominated government has apologized to blacks for the actions of our forefathers, as they have the Japanese . So, if you want to compare the 2 classes, compare them fairly.

I think there is probably a lot of racist hypocricy going on in America. It's just wonderful to support missionaries in Africa who are witnessing to black people over there who are worshipping devils and dealing with aids etc, thinking 'those people need the Lord", yet shake your head at your black neighbours who are on crack and not giving them a second glance or thought beyond "those black people are at it again".

Of course there is. Nobody is denying that. But blacks are just as racist as any other class. It is wonderful to support missionaries anywhere, no matter where. The "black neighbors" you speak of (and whites/Hispanics too) have had many opportunities to stop using drugs, to pull themselves out of the "ghetto." They are kept there by the men, who refuse to support the children they produce; by the women who continue to produce children that they cannot afford to take care of, knowing full well that their "baby daddies" don't/won't fulfill their obligations. They women work 2 or 3 jobs to support their families, while the men (for the most part) sit around with their 40's and their blunts and the "crack" as you referred to. And all the while their so called "leaders" keep saying it is OK, that they are as they are because of injustices perpetrated on them 150 years ago. No mention of the lack of character or responsibility except from a few, who are then chastised by the others who make their living on the backs of those they are supposed to represent.

Does posting these truths make me a "racist"?

interesting topic! I used to think that white people had it better than black people- i used to get discouraged sometimes by that. I used to think that whites had good jobs lots of money and were nice to people in general and hated black folks. BUt I have had black folks treat me worser than soem white people have and I have some white people really treat me bad also. Then in my military experieince after being around and working with white people I too used to really think bad of white people untill honestly about two weeks ago. I am black and my hubby is from africa. I have really been shocked at in this day and age (year 2009) how prejudiced some of the white people can be. Dont discount me just yet i have something to say.

I already knew of my life growing up in a predominatly black neighborhood in Cleveland Ohio. Now i live in another city where again My neighbors stay up all times of the night making all kinds of noise drinking and cussing to the top of there lungs. And most of the women I know are always gossiping and talking down about their husbands and actually cheat several times. The men also cant stay faithful to their wife either. And you hear them fighting! Then the police show up for domestic disturbance... I have even seen some "activity" which looks drug dealing in town. Every time you turn around they find any little excuse to quit there job and they are always complaining. The cops here have stopped me numerous times for bogus reasons and even asked me if i was in a gang and i was in business dress from my job at a bank!!!! and I even see how the kids around here love the rap music and listen to it loud. Some of the questions that my co-workers and neighbors ask me makes me wonder if they ever get out or watch tv or if they ever went to school to learn anything- some of them are even older than me and should know better!!!! Just last week two banks got robbed successfully.

Think Im talking about black people in a black neighborhood right? WRONG! These are all white people ... I live in wyoming a predominately white republican state. My husband and I are the only ones who consistently go to work and mind our own business. I feel sometimes like i still live in cleveland. The bottom line is this.

It has nothing to do with color. It is all about character. and as my husband says there are bad nuts every where. there are bad people in every race and there are good people in every race.

There is no room in Gods kingdom about/for racism. I had to take every race off the pedestal and put God where he belongs. I dont care what color you are anymore. I have learned my lesson. Im looking at Character.

God really showed me that character is what determines what a person does. Not the color of their skin or their environment or else i would have been another statistic after what I've seen and grew up with. But look what God has done. Thank goodness He didnt look at me and say oh my goodness she is black and lives in a bad neighborhood--- i cant use her. Now i was saved out of the ghetto as they call it and went into the military after high school. I thought life would be peaceful around white people. I found out different. People are people and they either got Jesus or they are going to act like the devil no matter what race they are from. But know I put all my trust in God. You should too.

So well put, sister, and absolutely right on the money! Once we learn to sift people by their faith, integrity and kindness, rather than complexion.....we will be halfway to where our Lord wants us to be.

Answers in Genesis is a good site but, for really in depth articles, I recommend Science Weekly or Science Daily. Like this one on the origins of man......we all really did originate in Africa.

I will indeed look at this site - but can anyone show me the Biblical Scripture that indicates ALL races originated in Africa (the OT map I saw showed only a tiny part of what may be considered modern day Africa) and also, where in the Bible does it say that "most" people descended from Africans? There is a poster here who said they have a "lot of scripture" on this and I'm not finding it... I'm not saying anyone is wrong - I'm just saying I cannot find what they are talking about here...

That's because it's not true. There are many Christian theologians and scientists who claim that Eden was in Iraq. As for Ethiopia: "The word Ethiopia appears in the King James Bible version 45 times. When the word Ethiopia is used in the bible, it most of the time refers to all the land south of Egypt" Reference

You think it's that easily forgotten while people who lived through it are still living? The only way it's forgiven, other than through God, is through apology and through making amends. I didn't see much of any of this happening. Ruck is right. His grandmother and people like her need apologies for the astrocities committed for hundreds of years against their people. The abolishment of slavery certainly did not stop racism and hatred and ignorance. The road the Black Americans have travelled has been long and hard and dispicable.

I will agree that today's black activists are doing more harm than good, and that Reverend Martin Luther King - probably the greatest man of his generation, would be rolling in his grave with what is going on today.

You're right, it's time to move on, but it's also time to remember what their race has been put through. And if we still see the crime rates of black people higher than whites, then to look at recent history and figure out why. That's all I'm saying. What have whites who have the same mentality and lifestyle when they've always enjoyed freedom? You were the one to point out that some certain black people have this lifestyle, so what of the whites? Don't you think one race is even slightly more justified for feeling disgruntled, powerless, angry?

I think racism still does exist on both sides. Case in point, so many either predominantly white or black churches in America! This freaks me out. If we Christians can't get it together and stop pointing at the lifestyle choices of the other as if it's a colour issue, then we have a huge problem. If the rest of the country could see that black and white enjoy perfect harmony and love within the church we might be able to affect the rest of the country positively, however racism still exists among the church goers and it sickens me.

For literally hundreds of years, white nations from around the world took black people from their country in chains and sold them like cattle and mistreated them and killed them.

The Jews were killed for what, 3-4 years by ONE small country, and the world came to their rescue.

When black people became 'free' they were given a small peice of land and had to live among the very people who enslaved and hated them. They had to continue to fight for civil rights for another almost hundred years!

The Jews were given a huge peice of land and were allowed to live and thrive in it peacefully among their own.

When black people were given freedom, a good majority of the white people around them hated them and offered no condolences or sympathy.

When the Jews were given Israel back, the world set up memorials, we have museums, etc. The black people are simply told to forget about it and move on. And continued to be lynch mobbed and tarred and feathered.

Now, of course, ammendments, memorials etc are in order.

But do you see why the Jews may have recovered more quickly because of the rightful outpouring of support?

I'm just about ready to give up on this. It is an astrocity when a so called Christian wants to point a finger at another race, using a biblical reference out of context. The Jewish people didn't have to fight for anything. The world rightfully came to their aid to make ammends and try to make things right. With black people, the fight for freedom and civil rights lasted hundreds of years. Prejudice in America still exists against black people and they are well aware of it and I will admit that today, they are choosing the wrong methods. "Living well is the best revenge" and this is exactly what they should be doing, but sadly, how many white people in America would be resentful to see Black people living well? Sadly, a lot.

There are quite a few errors in your analogy but before I refute them, I want to make it clear that all racism is an affront to God because ALL men are made in His image.

Jews have been persecuted since 2,000 BC.

Kings, Pharoahs, and dictators are STILL trying to wipe them out on a daily basis and have been since Sodom/Gomorrah. Where you get the 4-5 years baloney is beyond any imagination. There is no comparison to any race whatsoever.

What planet are you from?

Jews weren't "given" anything by man and they have never been "allowed" to live peacefully anywhere. God gave them that land and held it for 2,000 years as a desolate waste. Jews began going back in the late 1800's and buying swamps and deserts from the Turkish owners. They worked tirelessly to restore that land to the beautiful breadbasket for Europe that it is today.

Your history knowledge could use a lot of help.
