"A speaker of truth. Paul Washer gave a fuller message, that this one was extracted from, to a group of teens. Sadly to say, he was never asked back to speak again. If you have the time, the whole message should be listened to. Shocking Youth Message Stuns Hearers"

It is no wonder he was not asked back. The only time He gives this message is at Jesus Youth Rallies and Youth Evangelism Conferences where all of the youth are "on fire" for Jesus. What a terrible message to be given to this kind of audience.

I'll bet he doesn't have the guts to give this message at one of his Southern Baptist Laodicean congregations on Sunday Morning.

Paul Washer always teaches like this, and people hate it because it is the truth. See for yourself I think there are 54 different sermons in this place. http://www.sermonaudio.com/search.asp?seri...ord=Paul+Washer

Albert, what exactly do you find wrong with his message? Were there facts given that were wrong? Any lies presented? Whats your exact beef with this message?

WolfBitten,

Lets say you are a young person and you just heard about a Jesus rally and you decided to go. You get there and you are so excited to be there and you start jumping up and down with your arms in the air praising and worshipping the Lord Jesus with other young believers doing the same thing and all you want is more and more and more and more of Jesus until the service is stopped. Out on stage and up to the podium comes a person who is going to quench any joy you were having in the Lord. To make sure of this he starts spewing the venom of fear, doubt and discouragement. By the time he is finished you are in so much depression that you wish you had never come.

2 Samuel 6:16,23 -- As the ark of the Lord came into the City of David. Michal, Saul's daughter (David's wife), looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, and she despised him in her heart. And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.

Mark 9:42 -- And whoever causes one of these little ones who acknowledge and cleave to Me to stumble and sin, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung about his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.

venom of fear, doubt and discouragement

Yet what he is teaching is scriptural as much as many do not like to admit it. I prefer my young people be told the truth not be on a happy go lucky high for a few days, and then drop right back into their old ways. I have done it myself and seen it happen. Truth is always best.

I think you skipped a verses in Samuel there.

Oh and by the way. How can telling them the truth cause them to stumble and sin. If they are truely in Christ Jesus they will not have fear from the message. When i firest heard Washer I hated him...guess what I really hated??? he pointed out where I really was...the trouble I was having. Those things I was involved in I didn't want anyone to know. I despised him for telling me that because of the way I was living there was good chance I wasn't a true follower of Christ. As time passed the real reason I hated him became apparent to me...he was right. The more I got into my bible and looked into things he was right. I most likely wasn't a true follower of Christ. I was more involved in lip service than life dedication. Sure I hated the sin, but I liked it. I didn't want to be told I was wrong, but I surely was. The conviction hit me, and I ran. I ran from it like there was no tomorrow. As time passed I softened to the Lord, and realized if I wanted a spot with Him in eternity then I had better listen, and actually do what my bible was telling me. No where did my bible tell me all I had to do was say a prayer and that was all. I am to give myself to Him. My entire self...not just Sundays, or that little bit of time I can devote to Bible study. M whole self. As I read 1 John I learned what a real Christian was, and what I was not. Being a Christian is a LIFE choice, and sacrifice, and our kids are not being taught that. If you want to condemn someone for telling the truth then I pity you.

If a message that challenges teenagers to search their hearts before the Lord leads them to fear, doubt, and discouragement - then their is something wrong with the heart of the teenager.

But actually, the teens that are sold out to the Lord eat up stuff like this. I know, because I was one of them. I grew up with the kind of Christian music that wasn't afraid to lay it on the line, and these guys and songs were popular among Christian teens -

I make my life a prayer to You / I want to do what You want me to / No empty words and no white lies / No token prayers, no compromise - Keith Green

I don't want to be a casual Christian / I don't want to live a lukewarm life - DeGarmo & Key

Love God, hate sin - Mylon LeFevre & Brokenheart

I wonder what it's like for You when the Prodigal won't come home . . . I wonder how it makes You feel when no one seeks Your face - Petra

Really, I do not understand your complaint.

What is unBiblical about what he has said here? :emot-questioned:

the Message of Christ is a very hard message, and will and does turn people off, and turns people on at the same time......

those that followed Christ, even turned and left when the message got too hard, and then He turns to his 12 and asks them....

what about you fellows? are you going to leave too?

what did they say?>>>> they could have left at that time and been like the rest of the people... no, they stayed on, they knew the truth and continued to grow in Christ......

the religious leaders of the time rejected Christ because Christ PREACHED THE GOOD TRUTH, and it was very offensive....

those that preach the truth, teach the truth tend to get rejected, legally and illegally........

a Presbyterian minister was fired from her position when she preached the truth, the parishioners did not like having their toes stepped on.. she was even struck by one of her parishioners at a public (town counsel) meeting, and when the police arrested the man that struck her she forgave him and had the charges of assault and battery dropped, and yet, he was on of those that stood and had her fired.... against the bylaws of the church......

she preached the truth, and the people rejected her...

should we be so good as to be able to preach the truth and not be hated? remember, the people hated Christ first.....

Really? How did you come up with this analysis? I would guess that those who are offended were those who disagree. What is it that you disagreed with?

I am not WolfBitn, but I would like to address this also.

Albert,

he comes against the worldly things in peoples lives, the lukewarmness of their hearts of many and the self righteousness we all can find in the churches in the United States, and you say this is bad? Since when is the cry for self examination seen as venom, doubt or discouragement? If it is seen this way, it would be by those whom the message pricked, as the rich young ruler whom Jesus told to go and sell all he had and give it to the poor.

The tickling of the ears is never seen as a good thing and truth is hard to take at times, but to quench the Spirit because it may offend someone, you choose.

Sometimes I think we have lost sight of the sufferings of Christ. Sometimes I think we have forgotten scriptures like this one below....

Ac:7:51: Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

Ac:7:52: Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

Ac:7:53: Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

Ac:7:54: When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

Ac:7:55: But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

Ac:7:56: And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

Ac:7:57: Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

Ac:7:58: And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.

Ac:7:59: And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

I believe his message on holiness was one parents and youths alike need to hear more of. The beauty of holiness....

And I believe our youth need to be stirred to be mission minded as well as the rest of the church...there was one thing that disturbed me that I had forgotten about until I just watched this again. It would disturb me if my child, right out of high school, just grabbed a back pack and took off to the mission field without the Lord first preparing him or her for ministry. Missions is not just about building new churches and passing out materials. When we get right down to the core of it the Lord has always prepared those who go on the front lines. Those who have been through some stuff. Those who have had a deep encounter with the Lord and nothing could alter that truth. There is a time of preparation. I am so glad there are youth programs that take our youth onto the mission field with seasoned Christians. Christians whom they can imitate and glean from to show them the way of widsom so when they do obey the call to go they are not unprepared. Then when they are sent out a mighty covering of prayer goes with them as well that the Lord keep them safe and turn many to Christ.

Blessings

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
