How can they live a happy life? I just don't get it. I know many atheists, agnostics, buddists that are very happy. Why has not God shown them wrong in their beliefs? I don't understand.

They have no real comprehension of good and evil, it is all relative to them. To them, as long as they do no harm to anyone, everything is acceptable. We, on the other hand, have the knowledge of good and evil through scripture, a compass given to us from God. We accept His word as true and live by it. What we fight against, the flesh, they praise and give honor to it. Everything that is natural, they accept ....

1 Corinthians 2:14

But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Galatians 5:19-21

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God

They still have a conscience, some more then others, but they do. Some will not listen to the conscience and fulfill all the works of the flesh, but those whom you speak of, those who are happy, will fulfill the works of the flesh as long as it does not harm any other creature. Each group has their own core beliefs, and according to these beliefs which they follow, they remain happy, or as happy as a human can be without God.

Hope this helps ...

God Bless,

Alan

They are happy because they are living under a delusion.....almost like someone smiling as they walk along unaware of the asteroid hurtling toward them from space. They just don't know.......and we need to pray hard for anyone who is without God.

No offense to God, but wouldn't that be a much easier way to live? In a delusion. :whistling::rolleyes:

Is it the best way to live? There is an eternity to consider. In the end, believers are those who will be happier, not the lost.

Maybe, in the sense that broad is the way to destruction and many be that find it......I prefer reality, easy or not easy...God is our comforter and friend and our brothers and sisters in Christ, not a double whammy of Jack Daniels or scientific theories. They don't have a devil dogging their every step like a child of God does. We all grow weary of the attacks of satan, we get battle fatigue. But it will all be worth it when we see Jesus.

A man once gave an example of a similar thing. He said, what if you picked up a book today and that book said..."Chapter 1... everything is fine. Chapter two... everything is fine. Chapter 3... everything is still fine. Chapter four.. everything is fine." Would you read the book? The answer is no!

I think this is why living in the Truth is not created to be easy.

Another man said, "Nothing worthy have is easy".

indeed as someone already pointed out, they are happy because they are living in complete delusion. ignorance is bliss.

but they have also made this evil world their abode. so their happiness not only derives from their ignorance, but also from something tangible, such as earthly possessions.

in complete cowardice, they've abandoned god and have taken refuge in this wicked planet. they have cut ties with heaven and have become friends with the world.

they are from the world and therefore the world caters to them. we are not from this world and therefore this world is hostile to us.

""But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets." -Jesus

jesus said they have their reward in full during their short time on earth. and then their party will end when they're thrown into hell.

but this is a good subject - one i've had many thoughts about.

take care,

james

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
