Our thoughts become our words, our words become our deeds, and our deeds become our destiny.

So do people know I am a Christian when they meet me? Usually after a short while yes. Two reasons for this. My measured approach in my words, especially if I don't know the person, and then after a while, when I judge the time is right, I tell them. (or I might say, "while in church on Sunday", or "in my church home group"......)

Never miss a chance to witness, that door that is just opened a crack may be swung wide when you start talking :emot-heartbeat:

Is our life a reflection of "what" we believe?

I read this and it got me thinking....

When someone sees me/hears me - I wonder if they spot a Christian instantly without a shadow of a doubt......? :emot-heartbeat:

Sometimes I wonder this about my own life.

I have made this point often in some of the posts, and you got it, the fact that you are concerned is proof that you are living it! It is a point that helps to keep us grounded in Him. Sometimes as Christians we forget that we have given up the rights to our life, to live For Him. If we continue to live for ourselves then thats all the world will see. If we are livin for Jesus, our conduct confirms our faith in Him and the world can see Christ Alive in us! Amen!

The moment we stop living for Him, is the moment we stop believing in Him.

We are to be a set apart holy people for and to Him. The question for me is what 'sets us apart'? Attitude, appearance, words, actions? Theres plently of people I know that have all those things, live a really good life who seem like they are christians yet do not believe in God. So how do Gods children show the world they have His Spirit indwelling in them, how does the world at large know one is a child of God's? The Israelites had Gods ways to do that, His Sabbaths and walked in His commandments, thats what made them in the eyes of the rest of the nations and peoples they belonged to God. So if one does not observe those things how else are we set apart in the eyes of the people?

Good question Mizzdy, heres my observation

When the people in my life saw that I had stop doing all the things I used to do, they would take notice. Some said it was a faze, some say he must be running from something, and others where just stunned. 18 yrs later some of these have become Christians, some have died in there sin, some moved away and some hate me. When peope who know me and even those who do not, notice that I am not like the rest, I stand out. When I chose not to gossip with the rest I stand out, when I chose not to gawk in the presence of a beautiful woman, I stand out, when I am rejected or mock for standing up for what is right or just being a christian and respond with grace, I stand out, when I show forgivness to the one who hurt me, I stand out. The point is that when we are truely living for Jesus, you will stand out but what they see is not you, it is Jesus. For some they are offended and others want to know why or whats the deal with you and then you can share. And it does take the power of the HolySpirit to live for Christ.

The difference between those who try to please God by trying to obey the law and those who please God by putting faith in Jesus, is Jesus. OUTSIDE OF CHRIST PEOPLE ARE JUST ROLE PLAYING, THOSE IN CHRIST ARE THE REAL DEAL. THEY TRY TO BE, WE ARE! I DO NOT DO GOOD THINGS TO EARN MY SALVATION, RATHER BECAUSE I AM SAVED I DO GOOD THINGS! PEOPLE CAN ACT MORAL BUT THERE MORALITY WILL NOT SATISFY GODS STANDARD. GOOD PEOPLE WILL END UP IN HELL, OUTSIDE OF CHRIST!

Good question, I believe if our life is everyday a reflection on what we believe we often fail to live by what we believe. Don't you think?

E, All great things to practice and yes I understand that most who are 'good' on the outside are not so on the inside. Yet what you describe is how many are even without God in their life, yes they are doomed if they do not accept Yeshua but they still stand out to others when they do not gossip, fornicate, and the rest. A good friend is not a believer yet she stands out amongest all her friends and relatives because of her ways and views on this world. I don't really see the need to put out all caps to get your point across that you think that anyone who thinks we are free in Yeshua do obey His laws or not is being self righteous, if that was not your intent I do apologize!!!!

Mizzdy, the purpose of our good deeds is to reflect Jesus. Why do people who do not know God do good?To reflect themselves?

Over time you will see the different results between the deeds of Jesus and the deeds of men.The deeds that are holy come from Jesus. And our call is to be holy. The christians way to reveal God is responsible for our deeds is by confession of our faith.

Believe me in all my years on this earth there have been many who stood out, who did not conform to this world yet still do not Yeshua as their Savior and know many who profess the Messiah who would not win over anyone with their walk. I do know that we are to reflect Him in our ways, thoughts and actions. Yet if there are many who reflect that but do not have Him how do we view that? A friend never wants anything does not want attention nothing for what she does for others or how she acts, so I know that she is not 'reflecting' herself as many do. Is there something about being set apart that perhaps we are missing? To be holy is to be set apart right? Christians are sometimes only known by the cross they wear or by their words which is great we should all teach others about God but for the most part most look like everyone else, in dress, words, actions etc. So again is there something that truly shows others, the world that God resides within each of us?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
