Israel did right in boarding the pro-Palestinian "aid ship" operating in defiance of Israeli Defence Forces. The pro-Muslim ship occupants were singing pro-Hamas songs and shouting anti-Israel chants. "Friendly" enemies, yes? The decrepit U.N. should "come alive" and start dealing with the real issues at hand: 1. arms smuggling into Gaza; 2. continuing belligerance by Hamas; 3. the dangerous Iranian nuclear program; 4. the arming of Hezbollah in Lebanon by Syria contrary to U.N. resolutions; 5. and the holocaust denial by the puppet-dictator in Tehran for starters.

While Obama wobbles along with continuing requests for sanctions after sanctions after sanctions against Iran, Israel prepares to defend itself with no-nonsense action. If Obama continues wobbling on Iran, Israel meanwhile is locating nuclear submarines in the Persian Gulf in defense of freedom in the Middle East. May 2012 hasten! Sarah Palin all the way for U.S. President!

Arthur, I agree with your assessment of this issue. However, your constant criticism of the U.S. government is inappropriate; critcizing them is OUR job and we do it very well. Now, let me tell you the real story; our government has parked a flotilla of warships just off the coast of Iran. Do you really believe our navy and the Israeli navy are not working in tandem? The videos clearly show that IDF soldiers were being stabbed, beaten, and thrown over railings. Would you not use deadly force if you thought your mates were potentially being killed?

The problem being that while the ship was in the exclusive economic zone, it was not in territorial waters, nor was it in the exclusion zone, for purposes of international law, it was in international waters

If that was the only problem, there would be no problem. You need to understand we are defending our lives here!

The US and western allies went all the way to Iraq, Afganistan etc to combat the terrorists. Do we have to stay home and wait for them to bomb us?

Seeing as how B.E. lives in Canada, a peaceful country, he does not understand the circumstances you guys are up against. I don't pretend to have ever lived under such threats but I DO empathize.
