Can Satan?

In these final days we shoouldn't be looking for signs and wonders.

Joh 4:48

Then said Jesus unto him, Except you see signs and wonders, you will not believe.

There's only one sign and wonder that will be given;

Mt 12:39

But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah:

If Christ is exercising his total authority here, then abortions, wars, murders and all the evil in this world can be laid at his feet...... I can not do that.

Scripture doesn't lay these acts at the Lord's feet and niether have I, nor should we, but it does quite definitively state in fact that He has defeated them, making an open show of them, and that He rules over them and soon will come and place them underfoot.

The earth is His footstool dear brother.

And until he does just that, satan will be running the kingdom of this world........ and as Revelation tells us, it is at the seventh trumpet blowing that the kingdom of this world becomes the kingdom of God.

Until then we suffer at the hand of the evil one.

Where scripture tells us that there will be all kinds of "lying wonders"

Tell me where there's any Truth or Good accomplished in a "Lying Wonder"?

It's got nothing to do with "Truth and Good". It's about deception. Those lying wonders that are coming are going to be so spectacular and convincing that the "True Believer" will come close to being fooled. I believe the Beast will be duplicating the miracles of Christ or something very close to it.

There are lying wonders taking place today and there are christians who are just eating that stuff up.

One may look at v. 48 and see YOU as who. They were a wicked and adulterous generation - You present, then and there. They had changed the law to exclude the man in the stoning to death. Remember when the woman was taken in adultry: and in the very act - they brought her to Jesus. He stooped and wrote in the dirt. What (good question for many) but could have been, "where's the man". They had changed the law and Christ knew it. And He wrote again: and they left from the eldest to the youngest. God does know the heart and actions so, He may have listed each of them and with whom they had committed the same sin.

The sign of Jonah was given to them - Christ was hung on the tree on a WED and was three days in paradise (Abraham's boosum); Thurs, Fri & Sat, raising from the tomb on Sunday becoming the first fruits of the resurection.

I have often wondered where paradise was. As Jesus told Mary not to touch him, because he had not ascended to the Father. If He was with Abraham it must be that God's throne is not in paradise.We know that He went to Hell and converted many that were sinning in the days of Noah. So He couldn't have been with Abraham the whole three days. I guess Abraham could have seen Him over the gulf.This is a very interesting line of thought Sam.

I am in agreement with you man, and when the son of perdition sets himself up as God, Our real Father will send strong delusion to all those who have not come to the truth, so that they believe the lie.

That is why the whole world will wonder after the beast and not repent of thier evil deeds.

But we are not of the world and we will watch it all come down and speak things our adversaries will not be able to refute.

And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

Folks will be decieved because they see something spiritual happen but can't define it because they don't know the Word of God. Because they don't know God.

The very things you are complaining about happening in the Body today are the very same things that happen when people look for signs and wonders and demand a miracle intsead of knowing God.

Jannes and Jambre's did signs and wonders in Pharoahs court too but they were nothing like God.

24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

It's all about deception Dave. What the devil does will not be real, but it will appear to be real.

2 Thessalonians 2

9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,

10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,

12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

The devil doesn't have to cast out the devil in order for it to be real, he just has to make it look real. It's all about deception.

Jannes and Jambre's did signs and wonders in Pharoahs court too but they were nothing like God.

Look at some to the great illusionists today, Copperfield, Angel, Blain. There's people that believe all that stuff is real. It doesn't matter whether God has anything to do with it, people are believing the deception. Now if they can cause people to believe their tricks, what do you think will happen when the spirit of darkness steps up to the plate?
