WOW...how did I get to the end of this one?

>I must have been watching tv<

I love Dirty Jobs when it first came out, because it showed lots of stuff you would never dream of, and it caused me to be thankful for the folks that makes my life better...

I'm still hooked on Dancing With The Stars that I go back and watch..Kelly Osbourn still makes me cry during her first performance...and lets no forget Miss Nicie (big girls can move)

But mostly I love anything that deals with solving murders (1st 48 Hrs, Cold Case Files) or solving what killed someone (Dr. G), to what made men and women kill...and lets not talk about the action of Code Blue

I find great recipes on the Food Network...

The blessing of all channels The Word Network and Inspirational Channel...

I guess by now, you know I like to watch TV :b:

I am so right there with you on the 1st 48, Cold Case Files, American Justice, Forensic Files and all those. They're a different kettle of fish from 'Jersey Shore' and 'Kardashians' though. 'Dancing with the Stars' isn't all trashy and foul language so it's not bad at all. I admit though that my favorite shows are 'I, Carly' and reruns of 'Family Matters'. What does that say about me? :taped:

Well, 'Ancient Aliens' is a show that leaves me scratching my head and asking 'did he just really say that?'. I mean these are supposed to be intelligent people (especially the guy with the crazy hair!) and I'm sure they are but......they're all also three bricks shy of a retaining wall IMO. I agree; that stuff is not 'history'..........unless you live in some parallel universe.

It is amazing what grown men and women will allow themselves to believe. Dr. Zahi Awass a major Egyptologist has debunked the alien thing rather soundly. Have you seen his show "Chasing Mummies?" It is on the History Channel on Wed. at 9 pm CST.

I watch this. Although I have to admit that after a couple of his "screeching" tantrums I was a little put off.... :noidea:

But I can't deny that he knows his stuff...

The doctor IS a hothead......:whistling: It comes through though that he is truly dedicated to his work and his culture.

i watch deadliest catch from time to time, and used to watch ice road truckers. still would if it weren't for the arrogant loud-mouth called polar bear. there's another guy, though... polar bear's biggest rival, i forget his name, he's a good guy. a christian guy with a great big family, but he's had a lot of health issues.

deadliest catch though... they sure seemed to idolize captain phil. i watched the special they did on his entire life, and i was like :o this guy was hardly anyone to look up to!

dirtiest jobs, i've watched occasionally. not often though because most of the time it's just really gross.

the rest of those shows just don't interest me. i do like mystery diagnosis, untold stories of the ER, dr. g medical examiner, policewomen of whatever county the current season is doing (i think it's maricopa this season).

i used to watch a lot of those shows on TLC and history and discovery. but for the last year, i've taken a liking to lighter fare... dramas... the glades, rizzoli and isles, and covert affairs.

Oh! I forgot about those medical shows; I always liked them but it just seems they are never on when I'm home. :emot-questioned:

i love the forensics shows too....

and on animal planet, there used to be one called "growing up......" which would focus on a different animal each episode. it might be growing up girraffe one week, growing up wildcat another week.

my all time favorite for three seasons used to be meerkat manor. oh, how i loved that show!

Now can someone explain to me what makes 19 Kids and Counting soooooooo exciting?

I tried looking at it and began to scream at the television and at her husband. The lady keeps having all these kids and the kids keep having to take care of each other and then she gets pregnant with another child and they almost die...just to have great trips :noidea: , be on Good Morning America :noidea: ...and they are still counting

BUT I have to give it to them, they family LOOKS like they have it together, and they are a Christian family. But couldn't they had done it with three kids?

The Duggers.... Yeah, I'm glad they have healthy children and seem to be blessed.... I too, am thinking that enough is enough. That said, they claim not to rely on any public assistance and are debt free so, if they have 50 - so be it. I still wonder about how much real quality time they can have one on one with that many kids... :noidea:

Criminal Minds is my favoriate show.

We haven't had dish up until about three monts ago, so there is much that I haven't seen. I do know that we are not going to have cenimax very long after the movie that was on when I woke up the other night after going to sleep in the middle of an early movie....... Lordy, I didn't know such things was allowed on any form of TV. If my wife had come in while that was on, I'd have never have lived it down.

We have a dish on our RV and it really helps keeping up with the weather when we're out in the boonies camping.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
