Muslims have a lot of solid logical points when it comes to facing Christianity. I don't claim to know all the truth or which is the true religion. I was brought up a Christian in the US and that is WHY, I think, I am a Christian. If I were born in Arabia, for example, I would more than likely be a Muslim. If I were born in India I would most likely be a Hindu. But God is God no matter what we think about him (or her?). And I believe as the bible says that "God loved the world so much...", which includes Muslims too, even though they have a different concept of God.

Being that as it is, my God is the Christian style of god. But I believe that all religions have their own style based on how they were indoctrinated as they grew up. But no matter what you think or what your religion thinks God is has no bearing at all on what God really is.

I would say that God is the God of all mankind since he is their creator and it really makes no difference what man calls him. God created all men, no man created himself, therefore we are all creatures belonging to God. I know I didn't choose to be born or even created. I just came into this world and realized that I existed one day. No choice in that at all.

I do agree with that pastor though, that Muslims' definition of God in the Koran is much different than the Christian God. However, there are many very sincere Muslims that pray to God -- at least to the only God they know. And even though the Koran defines their God the wrong way, I believe that the one true God hears their prayers if they are sincere. I wouldn't say that God hears their prayers if for example they are asking God to destroy Jews and Christians, etc. I believe that God looks upon man's heart, not the name of the religion he's with.

On thing I have against Christianity though, is that they are so exclusive. The bible says, "...no man cometh unto the Father but by me". This is really an interpretation that gives them the right to think that their religion is the only true one, and all others are false. The truth is that the bible has been so corrupted that it is astounding that people can actually call it the "word of God". There are so many things in it that God would NEVER have said. Now there are things that man said that God said, that in all probability he didn't really say. And that is most likely the reason that Jesus said things like, "ye have heard that it has been said.... but I say unto you...".

If God is the source of all Truth and Jesus came to the world to bring the Light of God's Truth, then there couldn't possibly be any any one "true" religion in the world. Jesus said that God so loved the WORLD, not only a few million bible toting Westerners. If Jesus is the Truth, then God sent the Truth to all people, everywhere throughout all times -- not to just a few Hebrews.

I can not see eye to eye with everything that it says in the Koran, but I couldn't expect them to accept everything written in the bible either -- and I wouldn't want them to. There is just too much in there that simply couldn't be true!

There is no one religion that could be called the true religion since there is no one religion that has come to such a point. This is obvious if you just take a quick look around at the world and you see that it is mainly religion that has caused so much suffering around the world.

But I think that each religion has truths that other religions don't have. If all religions could be more reasonable and rational with one another and be more tolerant of each other, the world would be a much better place. And if we could all just learn to practice all the good points that our religions have to offer and try to stop the suffering of the innocent and most of ALL stop this senseless war and violence, basically caused by differences in religious beliefs!

Univeralism isn't acceptable to the God of Abraham....nor is islam or Hinduism, Buddhism, Shintoism, Scientology or whatever. Jesus told us the way; "No one comes onto the Father except by Me". He meant it then and, seeing as how He is unchanging, He means it now. I will pray for you to come to the real truth, my friend.

There are many differences between Allah of the Quran and the God of the Bible,

even though Allah says he sent all the prophets and had the Bible written.

The Quran teaches against major Bible doctrines:

-- Original sin

-- Two of the strict Ten Commandments (adultery and murder)

-- Lying is an abomination, and there are no exceptions

-- God is a God of unconditional love

-- God was born on the earth

-- God has revealed himself as three Persons in one God

-- Messiah Jesus Christ was crucified (and died) on a cross

-- Salvation is by grace through faith (and not by good deeds)

-- God’s blood covenant in the OT and NT is not continued

So, how could Allah be the God of the Bible?

Yes, the Scripture does state that God so loved the world, and that does include everybody.

But you missed the rest of the verse:

"that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him (the Son) should not perish but have everlasting life."

Being a Christian isn't about how one is raised. It is about repentance, believing in Jesus as Lord and Savior, knowing Him as the Son of God who died on the cross for the sin of the world and rose from the dead, having the Spirit of God living inside of you, and walking with the Lord.

If you do not have this, you have a useless religion.

The Christianity of the Bible is about having a living relationship with God the Father through the Lord Jesus the Messiah.

Some Will Agree With You Beloved And They Follow This Religion Or That To Their Eternal Doom

There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 16:25

While Others Desire More And So They Seek A Family Relationship

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

Dear One Do You Know Where Will You Be

The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:35-36

Without Holy Blood?

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1 Peter 1:18-19

So Sad

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:22-23

If you look at the attributes of God and allah of islam, you will see clearly why they are not the same. Please show this to your friend too.

I wrote this post awhile ago, but it is a good summary of why the allah of islam is not the God we worship.

Some reasons why the allah of islam isnt the God of the bible.

1) Christians believe that God is spirit.

John 4:24 God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.

Islam says God isnt spirit.

2) Our Lord is transcendent and immanent.

While both Christians and muslims believe in the transcendence of God, muslims believe He does not interact at all with mankind. We believe God is intimately involved in our lives (immanence).

3) We believe God reveals Himself, not just His law.

Islam believes that allah's will is manifested, but not allah himself. Our Lord reveals Himself all throughout the bible.

4) The Trinity.

God is God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Islam proclaims allah has no son.

5) Our Lord loves us while we sinners.

For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son. While we were yet sinners, He reached out to us in love. Yet for muslims, allah loves no sinner.

6) Our Lord does not want anyone to perish.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, not purposing that any of us should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Islam says allah desires to punish people.

7) How God regards the Jews.

The Jews are Gods people. The bible tells us this. Allah of islam hates the Jews.

8) Our Lord is unchanging.

Islam believes in the doctrine of abrogation, where allah can change his mind at whim. Our Lord is unchanging.

9) Forgiveness.

We are forgiven on the basis of the atoning work of Jesus. His sacrifice (and our acceptance of Jesus) means we are forgiven and reconciled with the Lord. In islam, forgiveness by allah is based on the whim of allah. You have no way of knowing if you are forgiven or not. The only reasonably sure thing is death by martyrdom.

Allah of islam is NOT the God of Abraham, not the Lord we believe in. Islam is not an offshoot of Christianity. It is a perversion of worship of the true Lord. (Mormons do not worship the same Lord either. They have changed whom He is.)

Nice jade! Succinct and to the point!

This is from an e-mail I had with a friend. My view is that Muslims do not have the same God.

:noidea:

As I'm fond of saying, satan tries to imitate God in all things and islam is satan's very own attempt at 'religion'.

I disagree with both of these points, to an extent. I think it is the same God, but i dont think people will go to 'hell' just because they are islamic. That is against what Jesus of the Bible said. As long as islamic people seek the way the truth and the life, they are already seeking yeshua. (I edited this)

I disagree with both of these points, to an extent. First, I think it is the same God, but my opinion is that the quran is simply not genuine to the extent that the Bible is, and it was written hundreds of years after the new testament, and thousands of years after the old testament. Second, Islam is not satan's attempt at religion, this is riddiculous. Satan impacts all religions, even christianity. Lets look at the phelps family, they are certaintly a satanic impact on religion. Satan WILL make his own religion, and it is already coming to light, it is the 'new age' religion. Sun worship, basically. But modernized, and falsely supportive of ALL religions. The one world religion that encompasses all religions, will certainly not be islam.

Final thoughts: I think the main flaw with islam, is that when it states in the kuran that jesus did not die, and did not ressurrect, it basically says jesus is a liar, while in the same breath, saying that he is THE MOST beloved PROPHET, along with muhhammed. To me, this is a huge contradiction in islam, and an obvious hoax, at least to me it is. But i dont think people will go to 'hell' just because they are islamic. That is against what Jesus of the Bible said.

Explain to us then, Rich. If salvation is only through Christ and they don't believe in Him, how is it that they will be saved?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
