What exactly would you want the punishment to be, kiwi5x, for those who rejected the Grace offered them? What do you think is fair? Remember, our spirit is eternal.

I think God, if he chooses, could destroy a spirit and make it non existant. To think otherwise is...... ((((searching for a word)))))

Sure he could. But would it be fair? If so, how and why would it be?

Would it be fair to simply destroy something that did not follow him rather than torture it for eternity....

yeah, I think it would be fair. I don't see it as reality, but I'd vote for it. God made the person and it didn't work out right...... just destroy it and be done with it.

To See True Love

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:8

Look To The Cross

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

>>>>>()<<<<<

....Hell didn't create itself. It is a place God created and reserved for the punishment of evil doers....

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Matthew 25:41

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:9-10

Who Is Love?

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16

Who Is He?

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18

And Who Is His Accuser?

For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. Romans 3:3-4

I have often thought that if people actually took to heart the Biblical definition of Eternal Damnation and how horrifying it is so graphically described, they would do everything they could to make sure they did not end up there.

If G-d had made Eternal Damnation any less awful than it is, He would not be doing the Human race any favours....and in fact it is a merciful act that it should be full of such horror, and is another call to salvation in Jesus to all who will take it seriously....nobody has to end up living forever in some burning wasteland, perpetually dark where the whole of ones mind is so consumed with the awfulness of this eternal separation that one screams in regret and grinds ones teeth at the bitter futility of it all, knowing that G-ds judgment on you is righteous and just, and the knowledge you now have as to what might have been if only....IF ONLY.

When the world gets filled with light, there can be no darkness

When the world is made good, there can be no evil.

When the world is made pure, there can be nothing to defile it.

It's not about Sending people to hell, it's about choosing a side. Jesus payed the price, He covers our sins through His sacrifice, those that do not accept His blood, their sin remains. When all is made right, all that is wrong will be gathered up and thrown in the lake of fire. So all can be made right, God made it so we can only be right in one way, through Jesus, and not of our own righteousness but His righteousness because we all fall short of the glory of God.

God does not send people to hell, people send themselves to hell...

Everything we need to know about hell, the soul purpose it was created for, and how to avoid going there has been shared and repeated through the Word of God. Just as the beginning of time, Father God was upfront WHAT NOT TO DO and the RESULTS OF DOING IT! But like our first parents, sometimes we choice to do it our way and expect God not to be faithful to what He said. We began to want an easy way out expecting Him to bend the rules because of course He is God and we are His children. What happened the greed to have something God warned them and (He has warned us) that Hell was design for satan and his followers, so if you don't want to join him, just do the right thing... Believe Father God, accept Jesus as your Savior, everyday strive to live right, if you mess up, humble yourself and repent. Take Him at His word, His grace is new every morning, use it as needed, but don't dishonor it.

Every time I mess up: working with folks who just show up for a check, it makes me angry. Sometimes someone cut me off on the highway, don't cuss, but my look will tell you how I feel, bills due and short of cash.. worry, how am I going to do it...I can't God is my provider! Theres stuff that I don't even know has happen and can carry me to hell... BUT thank God for His grace... thank Him for His unmerited favor! The moment its caught, I repent and is rightly restored back to God. Before I close my eyes in sleep, ask God for forgiveness for the knowing and unknowing sins I committed.

Kiwi, God is faithful and He will not hide any thing from us, not even the details of hell. Every human being will have the gospel shared one way of the other. How do I know this? His word says: every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess, that Jesus is Lord. We just need to read and search His word for answers and take Him at His word. We are going to have some challenges along the way, but God has provided a map (Bible) to get us back on track and has posted ambassadors (Worthy, etc) at every intersection to help get the truth to us, so that hell will not be our finial destination.

i understand he created it for satan and stuff but why didnt he make somethng else for humans...not trying to doubt God but an eternal hell of fire, burning you for ever seems harsh...

Why would someone choose it... unless they really love their sin? Truth has been given, yet they choose the same path?

Just to give my two cents on the issue.

The Bible says that the lake of fire is eternal, but it never says that souls will be there forever. Also...

Matt 25:46

46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

NKJV

Rev 20:10-15

10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. 11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

NKJV

We must speak the Words of God acurately... the weight of Words so spoken will be of priceless and of eternal value! Love Steven

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
