we are seeing a rise of people demanding democracy. As the TV's are covering these protests we also see young, energetic, tech-savy individuals organizing

in things such as Facebook.

So are we witnessing a new age of people from different religions living harmoniously?

Muslims and Jews living in peace without a peace treaty?

We do it here in the US so why not abroad?

because we are not a democracy...... we are a Republic.

Actually, our form of government borrows aspects from each. We have evolved into a hybrid.

Yes! I wish people would stop thinking the U.S. is a democracy.

Parker1, could you elaborate a little on what you mean about "not letting your guard down against Satan and his illusions?" For I agree with your comment as a rule of thumb in all of life. But I was curious on what you meant specifically in regards to this particular topic? Just interested on your thoughts. Thanks (for more clarification on your remark, regarding this thread.)

My opinion? Maybe this is all purely a political thing going down. But when I first saw it happening on tv and the magnitude of it, I couldn't help wondering if there is anything of prophetic significance to it. What do you think, family?

I'd love to hear you weigh in on your opinions on this angle or perspective: Could it have to do with the end times? And if so, do you have scripture to support this ? I'm no prophecy scholar by any means, but I learn as I go and it does fascinate me. I'm always interested in world events because of Israel and the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I agree with Matthitjah and MorningGlory that poor Israel is always being put through the wringer! My heart aches for her, for she is the apple of God's Eye and I have felt a connection with her ever since my teen years. Loved her then, love her now and I always will. :emot-heartbeat:

My heart is with Israel also, sister, and always will be. I agree that it seems these uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa are somehow tied in to the end of days. I just haven't figured out the logistics of it yet.

i bet it started cause the dudes there didnt wanna go to skool. they said hay lets hang out in the street for a week and then they got mad and started trashing stuff. they have riots here in usa when police shoot people and dont get arrested. like the one in los angeles i think. the problem is they all get together then try to show off and start breakin stuff.

The 'dudes' in that part of the world are lucky if they can go to 'skool' at all. These people live in abject poverty and under the worst kind of oppression. They are fighting for their and their children's futures; it's not a joking matter

Sorry MorningGlory. i didnt mean to offend any1 and i dont rilly know why they were protesting but i think just cause people r poor and dont like the government isnt a reason to b violent and start buildings on fire. and dudes usually get out of control when there r so many of them and they get rowdy. then they start looting and stealing stuff. like when they broke into the art museum and started breaking stuff and looking for gold to steal. the museum didnt do anything bad to anyone and didnt deserve to have there stuff broken. that was sad to see.

You didn't offend, Xx. I think I misunderstood your post. I've also heard that the most incendiary person on the planet is the young, unemployed male. As for looting the museums, I was appalled! That's not just Egyptian history; it's the history of all of us. I think they have recovered pretty much all of the stolen items now though. The reason people in countries like Egypt explode like this is that they have been oppressed and kept in poverty all their lives (the average Egyptian lives on $2.00 a day!). They don't have the freedom and opportunity that we do here and, eventually, the lid blows off. You can't really blame them for wanting what we take for granted.

It seems people tend to do the weirdest and dumbest things in such riots.

After all, look at what the mass celebrators do after the World Series or Superbowl wins. :emot-questioned:

MorningGlory, Thanks so much for weighing in on your thoughts as to whether this may have prophetic significance, sister... even if, like myself you can't quite put your finger on it. It was good to hear someone's input.

I know your heart is with Israel, but it is always nice to hear it. :)

The scripture Genesis 12:3 comes to mind, " And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed."

:amen: and :amen: May blessings from the Lord be unto you, my friend.

Those that constantly bash and trash Israel would do well to remember that verse, sister. Especially in the days ahead.

It's really a misnomer to blame poverty.

Some of the most impoverished peoples in the world have done great things. It isn't the poverty that's the problem, that's just mill for the grist, being used by those who desire to keep control. It's a poor excuse but not the root cause. It's more likely to be a result of an impoverished spirit.

If you live in a state where you're denied basic rights both human and economic and you have a brutal, corrupt and uncountable elite ruling over you, monopolizing the wealth of the nation and punishing dissent with death and torture, why shouldn't you revolt? What alternative do you have, suffer in silence knowing that your children will continue to suffer after you?

The people of the Middle East and North Africa are doing great things now, and at great risk to their own safety.

Were the American revolutionaries wrong in 1776?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
