Don't want to pour water over the enthusiasm with all the ways we can die

The sun is shining, it is spring and the weather is just amazing

What a gift from the great architect!!

Would he allow all this to burn up?

But hey! While we are all waiting impatiently for doomsday, why don't we enjoy what we DO have?

Lol...I hear you man

We are just discussing possibilities...'chewing the cud' as it were.

Why not view it in the same way we all know we are going to die...some of us of unpleasant painful diseases...but we won't dwell on those possibilities until that part of our life begins to become apparent.

There does seem to be more calamity, terrible times ahead for Israel and all who love YHWH and Yeshua our Messiah.

This was really the sort of immediacy I was concerned with...especially regarding Israel NOW, as Hamas test Israels responses, and Hizbullah amass a huge arsenal of weapons, ready to hit major towns like Tel-Aviv, which has never been so possible before....what I have been wondering about, is not just the speculative possibilities of what might happen soon, but what is happening within Israel to bring a cohesive unity to the people who are all in the same boat....because they cannot afford to allow complacency...or even acquiesce to the possiblilty of peace.

I love the attitude, the heart felt attitude of the Jewish nation! that every single day is precious and is lived to the fullest! a attitude that needs to be contagious within all our hearts!

Lol I think that is somewhat mawkish Mizz. :emot-hug:

The third Temple will be built in Jerusalem (although not sure if this is an end-time sign)

Be assured that it is. For Revelation 11:1-2, Matthew 24:15, Daniel 11:31,36, and 2 Thessalonians 2:4 require a third Jewish temple in Jerusalem during the coming tribulation. It will coexist with the church like the second Jewish temple did (Luke 24:53) and like the temple building in heaven does (Revelation 11:19). It could be built on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem by the ultra-Orthodox Jews in Israel after they clear the site by destroying the Muslim Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque.

Phew....just finished your endtime version of 'Gone with the Wind'....e.g. I have read everything you have written Bible2 and you seem to have a very comprehensive grasp of the possibilities that could happen in the end-time scenario...most of which I have either read about or thought about myself in a far more generalized fashion, and without the plethora of scriptural references simply because I unlike other subjects that require our personal obedience, this subject by its very nature is consistantly speculative, and I suspect our eyes are even hidden from seeing the truth until such time as G-d choses to reveal it.

Regarding the mosques on the Temple Mt....I have sort of hoped I would see their destruction in my life-time, and when the scuds were coming in to Israel curtesy of Mr Hussain (deceased) I often wondered if either one of his missiles would go off course and blow the place up, or if Israel could blow it up and claim it was a scud :whistling: .

I know the Temple Faithful have just about everything in place for when the Temple is built....but I have also thought that the Temple might be relocated to another part of the city if the Orthodox become united, and realise that the possibility of building again on the Mount is probably impossible....they might find a precedent in Ezekiel, where we see the location of the fourth Temple is different from the past locations.

I don't think the passage I quoted in Amos stands alone, there are other passages, particularly in Jeremiah that indicate when the Jews are reattached to the land of Israel they will not be rooted out of it ever again....and if we consider that it is in the heart and purposes of G-d to bring them back, even when they had not returned to Him, then I believe it is from here that He will pursue His final dealings with His people, and though they have not been faithful, He will be seen to be faithful in His promises to them and to the Patriachs.

Believe me Botz, these possibilities are very apparent.

In 1967 during the 6-day-war my village was shelled by the Syrians. I had a 120 mm mortar shell land and explode 50 cm away from me!! Don't ask me why I had not a scratch from this episode apart from flying through the air with a whole pile of stones and earth everywhere. That was a miracle in itself. But just in case I was thinking that there is nothing to these shells, during a service period in Lebanon (before we got out of there) I was a medic/ambulance driver and had the "pleasure" of picking up my commanding officer in plastic bags. The biggest part was a boot with the leg up to the knee in it. These pictures get etched in the memory and I know today what is in wait for me if we are overrun by our friendly neighbors.

Now with all this in mind I can either take it as lightly as possible with a lot of (sick) humor or just lose my mind.

As far as I know, I haven't lost my mind yet, so the other option is working to keep me sane.

People living in this country know from first hand what the possibilities are. If we are still around it's because deep down inside I guess we still have some of that faith God wants of us. It is just a matter of rubbing off a thick layer of rust.

I can't make it any clearer than this and I don't wish anyone to have the experience it takes to understand

Sorry for this out pour, but I can't let the pessimistic view rule in my life

I see this as a difference between us who are thousands of miles away form the center of the action and one who is in the middle of it.

Botz, I think they have several options.

they can just lay down and die the way they did in Germany (don't hold your breath on this one).

They can do pre emptive strikes as they have in the past (must be sometime rather near in the future)

They can go the Ezekiel option and let God take care of it.

Or they can go the Sampson Option and take us all out with them.

Spooky thing is that they are actually capable of doing any of these.

i also think that there are weapons in this world that are as bad or worse than the nuclear weapons we're all aware of. Israel seems to be on the cutting edge of most developments. If what I am reading about scaler weapons is not science fiction, the earth itself is in danger of being caught up in the standoff.

What is meant by scaler weapons, O.O.? :noidea:

MG, remind me next week and I'll fill you in. I'm on a trip and internetting with a samsung cell phone and it would take me hours to answer on this little phone.....

The Antichrist himself could have grown up as a quasi-Islamic Druze Arab, in Lebanon, in the modern city of Tyre (Ezekiel 28:2, cf. 2 Thessalonians 2:4). So he could at first present himself to the world as being of the (quasi-Islamic) Druze religion, which is waiting for the second coming of a God-man named Hakim.

The Antichrist himself could be named Hakim, and could first present himself to the Druze people as the fulfillment of the second coming of the God-man Hakim. In this way, he could get the Druze to support him without question during an initial rise to power among the Arabs. The Druze could be the numerically "small people" of Daniel 11:23. The Antichrist could make them his completely-devoted bodyguard, and buy them many key positions of power within a United Arab States and employ them as loyal spies at all levels of the United Arab government and military.

I really appreciate all you have written yet its really hard for me and others to read such long posts! Have you ever heard of a guy name Scot Dryer? google him and check out his stuff he really digs into the ac stuff and actually has Assad Bashir of Syria as the ac, he gives a pretty compelling argument for it also, check out this link just scroll down to Scot Dryer dated 2-28-11 its two hours but good. Whoever it comes to be I do believe he is coming out of Syria or in the regions that used to be Syria, after all we are told its the Assyrian that God calls to fulfill His plan.

shalom,

Mizz

I do understand bro...and I can imagine with your humourous approach how you cope with some of the memories...and the current situation.

I hope you can see I wasn't trying to be pessimistic, just generally interested in the possibilities that might occur in the near future according to the wider picture, and not zeroing in on the implications for the individual...although I appreciate it that you are there a few miles away from your friendly neighbours...maybe next time I am up your way we can sit under the eucalyptus in a light breeze with the sun going down and share a Nesher malt. Hi Botz,

I'm not complaining about anyone's pessimism, just trying to explain why I cannot go that way.

It's just impossible to live in this country if you're a pessimist.

What others do or see is their business and no, I don't see you personally as a pessimist :)

As for sitting under that eucalyptus tree. That would be a great thing. Let me know when you're around and I'll start cooling the drinks :th_handshake::62_62:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
