Would Jesus have attended a pro-rights rally?

I'm in a debate where someone argued that Jesus would attend pro-rights rallies (the person mentioned a list of the actual rights).

i thought about that.

Would He have?

What did Jesus say about rights?

Would Jesus have followed anyone?

We have the 'right' to die to self, pick up our cross, and follow Him. I do not believe Christ would be involved in a movement that requires a faulty foundational thinking (aka gay rights) or sinful / selfish desires for control (abortion).

While the person did list gay rights, she also mentioned women's rights and Civil Rights (race).

That is what initiated the whole debate, but she included everything. So it got me thinking about whether or not Jesus would do this or not?

Granted, the life and times of Judah (Israel) were different than they are now, but if such things existed back then? Considering His purpose for coming to Earth? Would He hold rallies for rights?

I think Jesus would probably go to these rallies but not to support their causes. I think he would go to simply find his lost sheep.

Sorry, man. I fail to see how this passage applies to Jesus attending "rights" rallies.

Take a look at verse 10. Who was sitting with Jesus?

Now look at verse 13. How many sinners, would you say, are at these rallies?

When Jesus spoke to the multitudes, He wasn't addressing righteous.

That is a very good question. I think I would have to know what pro-rights meant. Are we talking pro-choice, pro-same sex marriage, pro-civil rights. Jesus made is clear that he came so we could have life and life in abundance. He did not come to condem. However, he was clear with many of those he saved, he said "Go and sin no more". So it is my belief that he would have attended each one of those rallies. On civil rights, he would have been the key note speaker. On pro-choice and same sex marriage, he would have attended to spead the gospel of his father and demonstrate that he can provide all your needs, if you would trust him. Many believe that Jesus came to set the captives free. True. However, free does not mean 'Go and do whatever you want, live however you want'. Free, is freedom from sin and oppression. He was clear in that your mind, heart and body belong to the Lord.
