I simply believe that an American President should have to be born American.

I almost said "be born on US soil", but that would exclude children born to military citizens serving abroad, and a few others.

I just think it's one rule that should stay in place.

They are considered born on U.S. soil. Regardless of where the base is at.

I have to agree that anyone who is running for president should be born an American. But I do have to say that Arnold has done a remarkably good job so far as Governer of California. He has withstood many attacks on his character and even within his own family. So I don't knock him about the job he is doing. But President? Nope, he can play by the rules like everyone else can.

BTW that site is pretty radical in itself. You also have to take into accout that its pretty much anti-Bush and anti-govenment too so read carefully anything you see in there and check it out elsewhere too. Most of what I saw there would come under the heading of being an alarmist or ahem crap stirring.

It is becoming increasingly difficult for the common american voter to see through the smoke of double-speak and hype in political marketing... to the truth that bites the backside.

Who can honestly say a non-american would not be a better choice than the spectacular cartoons presented for our vote? As much as people disdain the presence of 'illegal aliens' among us, they demonstrate more reverence for opportunity and hard work than most ya-hoo rednecks I know. SOMEDAY America just might get a chance to wake-up and smell the coffee before we are kicked out of our own house by those we once disdained as unworthy of civil rights. The Bill of Rights is not inherited so much as it is SUSTAINED by responsible citizenship.

He seems to think we're becoming another Nazi Germany. With a police state and everything. I'm just curious..if we're already heading that direction and we have "concentration camps" (which are empty and completely unguarded)...why hasn't he been arrested yet?

Not only am I for a 'native-born citizen' rule to stay as is; I am for allowing ONLY native-born citizen to go about armed. Naturalized citizens should be allowed to own arms, but not to carry them about with the same freedom as native-born citizens.

Native-born citizens should be unrestricted in the carrying of weapons.

Here's an example of a person who was born in one country, became the president of another country, and ended up in exile back in his country of birth because of the corruption he created.

Alberto Fujimori, born in Japan, became president of Peru, first did good by all but eliminating Peru's 20-year civil war with the marxist groups Shining Path and MRTA. But soon was found to be corrupt when his intel chief was buying weapons from the then Soviet Union and supplying these to drug cartels. Fujimori also rigged elections to suit his desires. The corruption became so widespread and rampant that the populace called for his ouster. He claimed he was born in Peru but there is no proof of that. In fact, all documents prior to him being elected show he was born in Japan. Could that be an issue here?

As far as I understand Constitutional Law, unless someone is born here in the US and not in a foreign country, even on a military base, that person cannot run for president. This was the case for FDR's son, who could not run for president for supposedly that reason. Can someone here shine some light on this matter? :sam: :prayer

Papa's Angel, I would have to agree that this site is pretty alarmist, but if you look at the article you will see that it is an "associated press" article and did not originate with Alex Jones himself.

Actually most of his site is simply a copy and paste of different news articles from papers all over the world, along with different papers gleaned from government files and white papers distributed by different organizations.

Alex himself usually charges for the things he creates himself (member only stuff) and a lot of that comes from his radio show and guests there.

He does have a pretty radical view of the state of the nation, and some of it is fact, the rest.......... I don't know..... yet. I have purchased a couple of his tapes and they seem to be pretty well documented, but I don't tend to always agree where he goes with some of that information. But it is a good collection of articles from everywhere to pilfer through and see what many people and organizations from all over the world think of us. Some don't think that it really matters what other countries think of us, but I happen to think it does.
