From the time we are born until the time we pass does God put every person that we will encounter into our lives?

You know as many times as I have read the bible there is only one place where the word "hap" as in "IT HAPPENED BY CHANCE" shows up and even then it is a prophecy fulfilled. It is the death of Ahab. It was prophecied that he would die with an arrow in his back and it was some unknown soldier who shot that arrow.

So yes if God is in control of all thing at all times in our lives I would say that God iether sends folks into our lives for a purpose or he allows them to come into our lives for a purpose.

Well besides the question that I started with I would like to also ask this along with the OP...

If and when he does this do you believe we would know or why he was doing this?

Example a person comes up to you for a moment in your life and the person is gone...

it then leaves you with the question what was that all about? :noidea:

Why did this moment happen for when you least expect it?

I do think He puts people, places, issues, etc. in our path for all kinds of reasons. Some reasons might be obvious, if we are in need of something such as guideance, food, shelter, or just a reminder of something. I have had some people come into my life at times when its been a test of sorts, others come when I need to work through something. It just could be that whoever walkin into ones life for a moment is there because God wanted us to be there to show that person was in need from something from you.

shalom,

Mizz

EVERY SINGLE PERSON? NO!! Come on! Some? Yes! But EVERY SINGLE PERSON? No way! Let's start with pre-school....uhhhhhh, No! Then elementary......uhhhhhh, No! College.......are you kidding, NO!! First, second, third jobs...no! Those parties I went to......No!

The person that first stopped me and asked me if I ever considered this, and this and this and that about the Lord..........YES! Did I listen.......No!

"And the LORD hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear."

The next person that stopped me asked asked if I had ever considered this, that or the other about the Lord........YES! Did I listen.......No!

"To hearken to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent unto you, both rising up early, and sending them, but ye have not hearkened."

The time when the guy on the radio said to ask God to forgive me of my sins and trust in Him.......YES! Did I do it........No!

"Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD."

All of the "Other" parties and clubs and bars and events that I went to in between all of the people that asked me if I knew the Lord..........No!

"I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me."

God kept sending His word to me through different people and media and one day, at some point.......it happened.

I listened!

"Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors."

"Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments."

"Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is."

"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him."

i think there are so many times, we never know how we affected someone else, or even how they affected us, but, I am ok with knowing that God does.

From the time we are born until the time we pass does God put every person that we will encounter into our lives?

If a person is a Calvinist, then yes should be an almost automatic answer.

If a person is an Arminian, then the answer gets "cloudy".

My best explanation would be no, not every person, though God has a knowledge of every person you will encounter in life, not everyone in your life would be sent by God.

How I reconcile this is, we have free will (Arminian), so we can choose the direction of our life.

Of course, God already knows our end outcome.

"Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

In the beginning (time), God created the heaven (space) and the earth. (matter)

Time, space, and matter come into existence at the same time. This tells us that for God to create time, space, and matter, then God exists "outside" of time, space, and matter. I hope that makes sense.

So if God exists outside of "time", then God would view time differently than we do. Much like looking at a tape measure, you see 1' and you see 10'. In a similar way, God sees both the beginning and the end of time, and all in between.

Just because God can see time to the end does not mean God has constantly forced his will on mankind, taking away our free will. Much like the LORD telling Joseph to take Mary and Jesus out, for the king was to kill all the children in Bethlehem, God's will surpassed the earthly king's will. Likewise God influenced Pharaoh in dealing with Moses, hardening Pharaoh's heart.

So from time to time, God will have "divine appointments", but for the most part, God lets your will decide, and that includes your direction in life which influences who you will encounter.

My 2 cents. :)

From the time we are born until the time we pass does God put every person that we will encounter into our lives?

Proverbs 20:24

Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?

Proverbs 16:33

The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.

Proverbs 16:9

A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Jeremiah 10:23

O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

- The whole disposing of your lot is of the LORD...

- Your goings are of the LORD...

- Your heart devises your way... but the LORD directs your steps.

Proverbs 17

3The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts.

- Do you think the LORD put those women in Solomon's "goings" to "try" Solomon's heart?

Proverbs 22:14

The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.

Ecclesiastes 7:26

And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.

I've had some people in my life that I invited there---and it wasn't always a good thing. I have also had people in my life that Satan introduced there---some weakened me and I have had to do some major spiritual work to overcome the effects, and others I know I have made a spiritual impact on for Christ. Were all of these people in my life by God's design? No, not all the evil ones. God has the great ability to turn what the enemy meant for harm into something good, however.

I know that I don't need to know the whys and the wherefores, because when I see Jesus, I will have all my answers then! The end determination will be that it was worth it all

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
