Does it seem like."end of days" talk have tamed down a bit?

I remember a couple of years ago it was everywhere. Rapture, rosh hashana, moons, Obama supporters crying..it's like the music ceased.

Anyone see the same thing?

Personally these days I dont really get into prophecy so much I see God has a plan He wrapped it up in His feasts, a seven step plan if you will, .....

a few years back i went to a "presentation" of a pastor talking about this. It was new to me and left there understanding what it was.

The thing was that this pastor showed a lunar calendar chart and showed "possible" years on which Rosh Hashana the rapture may take place.

He didn't claim to know the day nor the hour but presented some things he came accross his studies.

As I said, talks seemed to have quiet down a little. Then again, I dont look at the news since i cut off my cable so maybe I was freaking myself out.

That may have been Mark Biltz who put out a teaching on it all. He would never set a date, ever, but he does show that Gods plans are wrapped in His feasts and how He fulfilled the spring and will come back to fulfill the fall ones. I like to think of them as the seven 'steps' of salvation because within them we see our Messiah in every bit of them and what He would and will do for us.

There was an archalogist that opened caves on different fest, his name was Jones, I think that he was the one who found the Copper ScrolI forget his first and second name, he is no longer with us. He said, take the OT and mix it with dog urine and there you have the New Testament.

We are to know the times and the seasons and we know that the times are know and the season is right here but since we cannot know the day or the hour - we sit and wait for God to move - and yes He is moovviiinngg ssoooooo slooowwllyy!! So we live day by day waiting and watching for His next move in the Middle East.

Thats just a terrible thing for him to say! I have heard many sentiments like that from some Jewish brethren and well in some ways I can understand. I mean we take the Messiah promised, change Him from what He really was a Torah keeping, feast loving Messiah and protray Him as another God who takes everything away, we say that He did away with all things that God says are forever and then present Him to them in a totally unfamiliar way that is not in the prophecies. But the evidence is clear for all to see He didnt do any of that and He is the Messiah hoped for and promised. It truly is the condition of the heart, cuz I know a lot of rabbis, many who have seen Him as He is by just reading the NT in Hebrew and come to call on Him as their Messiah!

I remember a few decades back it was hard to go to a mall and not have a track handed to you or a person wanting to share Jesus with you. Jesus coming again was everywhere. Rare today, can't remember the last time I was approached.

I do believe the lack of people speaking about His return is a combination of things like predictions that don't happen, television hustlers discrediting the gospel, y2k foolishness and what Paul says, not to be ignorant of the coming of the Lord. But big time is what Jesus warned us about more than anything else, deception.

The coming of the Lord is a series of events sometimes heavy then sometimes light but he said not to be shaken, the end is not yet. There is so much to Him coming and not just a twinkling of an eye event.

Forty years ago in every major city in America we could find a few born again Jews in some fellowships. Today in every major city in America and not just America we can find a messianic congregation with a few believing Gentiles. Point being, The age of the Gentiles "is coming" to a close. The natural branches are being grafted back in. Amazing time we live in.

There is a progression to all this and much scripture to be fulfilled.

The disciples fell asleep at a critical time, the ten virgins were sleeping when the cry came out. be sober in spirit, don't slumber etc. Much scripture about the time of the coming King.

I think that with the Internet, computers, blogs and tv covers every person with a prediction. We even hear UFO predictions and Mayan calendar codes. Those things aren't religious yet it freaks everyone out.

Personally, there was a time when I was getting caught up in eschatology. To the point that I was dismissing the fact that only the Father knows the time.nowadays, I don't know what to think. I'm moving forward, of coarse however I did notice how things tamed down a bit.

What would be the things that are unraveling? There had always been wars and natural disasters.

I honestly thought that back in 2008 something was not right with people. I've never seen mass hysteria, and tears of joy over a politician.
