David put himself in a 'vile' position as he states it. David was speaking truth unlike his ungodly wife.

For I to strip down to something less than glamorous and dance with all my might before the Lord wouldn't mean much, but for a dignified king to abase himself in such a way before God is absolutely amazing testimony of Gods value to him. It glorifies God to a much higher level than anything I have ever done.

While I may not agree with you about what David was wearing, I appreciate you taking the time to look into it further, and I do understand why you believe what you do. No matter how you slice it, David was so devoted to God, he felt comfortable doing things in public that many would be ashamed of to give praise to God. That is why David was considered to be after God's own heart, in spite of his failures.

Recently I had heard something there are some Christians who believe it doesn't matter whether we are wearing clothes or not this even includes walking in town and in public.

There argument is that when God created Adam and Eve they were created with no clothes on. That in Genesis 1 God saw that this was good.

They say that the guilt by wearing clothes is a message from Satan because when they think they need to wear clothes they are covering up God's creation.

In your opinion and what you believe the Bible says do you think it's ok for everyone to walk around with NO clothing this includes all ages of people,...

babies, children, teens, adults and elderly. This includes about nudist camps.

What would Jesus say about these things?

We really do not know what Adam and Eve's 'nakedness' was like, were they shining bright like Moses face because they actually walked with Him? Was their nakedness like ours, something I doubt myself. All that God created was good, it was mans choice that wasn't. But instead of killing them off He showed them His grace and mercy and 'covered' them with a blood sacrifice and gave them another 'skin' to cover themselves. Since God, and Yeshua has given us coverings I would say in our society prone to all its sins man should indeed cover themselves. Theres nothing wrong with our skin, our nudity between our spouses yet since He did cover us we should stay with the example God gaves us.

The word that was used was the Hebrew word gulah, and it means several things. Nudity is one possible definition, but so is disgraceful, to reveal, advertise, appear, bewray, disclose, discover, exile, remove, reveal, shamelessly, shew, uncover. The word used in the passage wasn't translated to naked. The word was uncovered. It is found in 2 Samuel 6:20, where it says, "Then David returned to bless his household, and Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself." If you go back to verse 16, you can see what David did to cause Michal to say this. It says, "And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD, and she despised him in her heart." This had nothing to do with what he was wearing, but his behavior. It is pretty plain if you look at it in context.

I took that right out of my transliterated bible program and those two words matched up with the scripture he gave. So, do't know where you came up with that word.

Also don't forget the account of Noah - where he got drunk and lay naked in his tent. Ham saw his father and told his brothers. The two brothers covered their father's nakedness being careful not to see his nakedness.

Ham was cursed; Shem and Japheth were blessed.

It came from my Abington-Strongs Concordance. It has a Greek and Hebrew Dictionary in the back for every word in the Bible.

I will tell you where I got it. In 2 Samuel 6:20, in that verse you will find the word "uncovered." The reference number is 1540, so I turned to that number in the Hebrew Dictionary. That is the word gulah, and I already gave you the definition. I see what the problem is. We were talking about a specific instance where David was accused of being uncovered before the people in Israel from 2 Samuel 6:20. You aren't even in that passage.

that's the problem with english translations in that different words are translated into the same english word and they don't always mean the same thing. There are several diffferent words translated "Love" that aren't the same also. I don't know how many there are in total but it's nice to be able to look then up for ones self.
