For thousands of years we have had some of the most evil people living on this planet. For example Nero is considered one of the most evil rulers in History. King Herod was also considered a ruler who was like the Mafia putting people to death who did not agree with him and killing innocent babies. There was Mussolini, Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler. Then we have terrorists like Jack the Ripper, The Boston Strangler, Bonnie and Clyde, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Kaczynski the Unabomber, Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden. And the list goes on and on.

Some may dispute which one of these is the most evil being in History depending on ones view what they may consider worse or just all being equally just as Evil.

But all these people I have mentioned are all dead except Charles Manson on Death row or that life in prison.

Satan the Devil however is more evil than all these people put together. For example Hitler liked certain people. Satan does not like any person at all. Not even one person does Satan like. Satan is behind the scenes of more murders, stealing, lying, sexual perversion, drunkenness than any being that has ever lived. Satan has only one desire for man kind to burn in Hell. The Bible tells us He is like a roaring lion. And the only thing a lion will do to its prey is rip it apart and devour its prey. Not regretting it even in the least.

Now with all being said that Satan is the most evil being in all History I have these questions. I would like to see what answers others have concerning these questions.

I believe that God knew from before creation, that there would be vanity in heaven, and used the flesh of men to expose the ignorance and folly that such vanity was based upon. Namely not knowing nor properly esteeming the person of God, and the dire consequences of a false image of god upon the wills of angels and mankind.

When God kicked Satan out of heaven, Satan developed a deep hatred for God and anything that was God's. When Christ died over 2000 years ago, he gave the devil free rein. he also gave us free will to choose or reject his Son. Today he and his one-time angels are working hard to take from God all they can by blocking some from being saved and temptimg others to turn their backs on Christ. In doing so, many people have become evil. For instance, Mothers killing their children; fathers raping their sons and daughters; the horror of the things happening to children in Africa; I could name many more, but you can read the news for yourself. God has already judged Satan and his minions. Revelations tells us that hell will be their home for eternity. Satan know this and that is why he is working so hard. If he is not bothering a Christian, then they need to have a good talk with Christ. He really doesn't have to work to keep sinners sinning, but to put doubt into a faithful's mind is harder work, but worth it if he can get the faithful to reject Christ.

The advesary is a created being not like us and God has a plan for satan that all will see at the end of this age. God, when Adam sinned gave this world over to satan, giving 'man' reign and rule which without the hand and mind of God chaos reigns. God did judge him when he sent him out of the heavens he is only allowed to accuse us not be apart of anything else. Why does God allow us to be mixed up in this world? why does He allow us to be tempted and refined? Because God wants people to come to Him not out of cohersion but from love and need. We are allowed to 'wallow' in our sins until we see that leads to nothing, without knowing the bad how can we see the good? Whether we fully understand it or not this is all about His plans, our choices and who we want as our ruler over us.

Because Satan is still useful to God.

God could only give man the choice to do good as he cannot tempt anyone with evil nor be tempted. Without an evil choice there was no possibility. One must ask, why would God want man to be tempted with evil? To prove man. All that it took for Satan to sin was to be given so much beauty, power and knowledge that he became lifted up in pride. He would then desire to receive the worship that God is worthy of but could not do so using truth and therefore became a lie and turned the truth of God into a lie.

All of this was done so that man could be completely made in the image of God, including the ability to make moral judgments, which they did not have before the fall. Upon the fall, the creation of man was complete and he was 'like' God in this one last way. Then God looked at all he had created and made and said it was 'very good', and since then God has spent about 6000 years perfecting those who will be with him forever having eternal life.

Why has the Devil been allowed to live so many years?

Because God is righteous and just and must defeat and dispose of Satan in a righteous and just manner. Satan understands this and is bobbing and weaving, trying to figure out how to win and defeat God, which is impossible. It is all about the revelation of God to his creation. An invisible God that cannot be detected by mans carnal 5 senses has been busy revealing himself to him and causing man to understand and worship him. Satan has played an integral roll.

Why didn’t God judge him a long time ago?

Satan has been judged at the cross. Jesus upon his resurrection was made Lord over all creation and sits at the right hand of the Father waiting as the Father is putting all enemies under his feet in a righteous, just and loving manner.

What do you think the reasons are that God would have on these things? What is your say on this?

Many people believe that Adam and Eve spent an undetermined amount of time sinless in fellowship with God in the garden of Eden. Walking in the cool of the evenings etc. A careful study of the first three chapters of Genesis shows that Adam and Eve fell the day they were made as part of Gods plan. While God is patient and does what he does over long periods of time, Satan is impulsive and acts immediately without thinking. God designed the whole creation with the purpose of populating the new earth with people and angels who have been perfected through suffering just as the Son of God, Jesus himself was. The need for this to happen the way it did is all wrapped up in the wisdom and understanding of a loving God who thought it was all worthy of being done before he laid the foundation of the earth.

Since God has raised up such a formidable enemy for himself to destroy, I don't believe we will ever see anyone rise up again thinking that they can somehow defeat God. Nope. Just an eternity with other people who are quite content with whatever place God says that they should have in his creation.

God obviously sees time differently than we do - just as there are many other things about God that we can't understand. God could bind or destroy the devil with a single breath today if He wanted to. As the Only Creator, He could have also created all beings to love and obey Him most perfectly, but He chose not to. God wants our love, respect, and obedience willingly - as He could obviously force anything He wished in a split second. I think about this portion of Scripture often:

Isaiah 55:6-11 KJV Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Well because you asked what I personally think Ill conjecture but keep in mind this is speculative and subject to fallibility. I think satan wanted it to be just him and God. I think satan is like a selfish child who hates his siblings because they take attention off of him. As if he reasons with himself that God doesnt need anyone but him to love Him and because God had a bigger family in mind satan became jaded and decided Gods judgement was flawed hence why he wants the judgement/mercy seat. Its funny satan wants the mercy seat considering he has no clue what mercy is. I say funny because its ironic. I dont think satan revels in sin the way man does. satan is a murderer because of his lies it wasnt a physical act like Cain but the mental act of coercion which caused man to follow a lie into death. The Pharisees loved the law but they used it to condemn not to save just like satan and opposite of Jesus hence anti Christ. I dont think satan is like the image portrayed by the media rather he is a self righteous narcissist and considers everyone beneath him and unworthy of life because he was made perfect. Almost as if he goes to God and says "see God why dont you just kill these filthy sinners because you dont need them to love you when you have me who is clean and righteous to sing your praises" and Gods like "I will have mercy and not sacrifice you fool who doesnt realise fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom now get behind me." As to why God allowed sin well thats to give glory to His mercy! Cant have mercy without anything to be merciful for. Once again this is my personal take its not in the Bible but I think if God wouldve granted us the amount of power I believe we will have in the Kingdom and we wouldve fallen to sin nuclear bombs would pale in comparison to the form of war we would wage with divine power. When God speaks what He says happens, if we had that kind of power just imagine the devestation, it would be an eternal war with no hope for peace just constant verbal attacks and defenses. The truth would be lost to us forever as we believed the lies we tell eachother and ourselves. The truth is always true no matter how many people believe a lie but if we were immortal the lies would never end and we wouldnt praise God which is and who is the Truth. Being human is humbling but some people still get that pride where they think they could dictate the universe better than God, and like I already said, satan thinks that way too. I think your conjecture is pretty accurate with scripture. God has left it so that there is conjecture. After all, all was built upon faith and Satan sowed doubt. So do all his deceived minions. I do think we have the power of our faith and doubt also, wherein we have made a mess of this world because of ignorance of exactly what we're believing in.
