If everybody wrote in Ron Paul who can't bring themseleves to vote

I am voting my conscience and my conscience tells me not to vote as there are no candidates who are truly espoused to Christ.

there rarely are. but GOD is in control of this election. GOD is the one who puts all rulers into place, good or bad. He has given us the right and the responsibility to take part in the election process, and my personal thoughts are that if i were to take a similar stance as you, and refuse to vote because neither candidate was truly espoused to Christ, then i believe i would be acting in disobedience to God... and that act of disobedience could be the reason that He puts the least desirable of the undesirables in as my leader.

Interesting to see the way anothers conscience works. I have the opposite view of course and believe my disobedience would be choosing a leader who doesn't actually follow Christ. Although I will obey the ordinances that come of such an elected leader per the bibles instruction, I have never seen any clear dictate from scripture that convicts me to believe it is my responsibility to pick on or the other. We must all do as our conscience dictates and I will not fault you for following yours as God is using us both to put into office the candidate he has already chosen. I believe in individual soul liberty. We shall all appear before the judgment seat of Christ and give an account. I would never encourage someone to go against their conscience.

Ron Paul IS a Republican......and he is someone that should never be in the White House. Unless it's to visit.

I agree with LadyC. In the past I, all too often, didn't vote in any elections other than the president, and now things are happening in this country that are appalling. I never found politics interesting, and I still don't. But since I trust in my judgement, I am going to have to start to make myself interested. While I know God will do what God will do, and I can't change that. I also know I am supposed to do what I know is right. So I will vote.

But even if everyone wrote in Ron Paul, that still wouldn't get him elected if the political machine doesn't want him in office. You must remember the popular vote doesn't elect the president, it's the electoral collage vote that elects him. If the electoral collage wanted Ron Paul as the president he'd be the republican candidate.

IMO America needs to repent and change our ways. That's the only way we will continue to have the protection and blessing of God. And as a country, on the whole, we aren't doing that. So if Obama wins again, or if Romney messes us up more, this is the reason why. We ought not to be surprised.
