There's been something on my mind for quite sometime.. I still don't know how to put this all out there but I am relying on the Holy Spirit's leading to help me as i go...

i find it extremely heartbreaking that some people are just not who they claim or portray themselves to be.. Especially when it comes to believer's... Granted each and every one of us are on different levels, have different things to work through and sometimes those things take time depending on how deeply rooted they are..

But what truly is breaking my heart is how people who claim to be believer's feel as if they can fool or underestimate someone who is truly a Spirit filled person.. Have we forgotten that the Holy Spirit works in us and gives us nudges, and tells us if something or someone isn't right???!! . Some people look and talk to you as if you don't have discernment or can't pick up a lie. When in fact most believer's are filled with the Holy Spirit therefore being able to sense these things..

To me being a believer isn't about being a robot.. i don't expect everyone to walk the same, talk the same, listen or watch the same things as everyone else.. I respect and love the fact that we are all different... But for me I am finding that alot of people who claim to know and love God do not bear any fruit.. I know Jesus said we would know them by their fruit so with just that said why would anyone feel as if they could underestimate or even try to fool someone who is truly a believer.. How can you say you believe and follow God when behind closed doors (including online) you act like the world does..

You can usually sense by how someone speaks , whether online or to your face who they are.. that little nudge in your spirit tells you.. even if they are funny, kind, and speak about the Word you can still pick up someone being false.. I know there are false prophets out there and too many at that.. It's just sad for me to see it all.. Granted I am not perfect, i have my own things to work on but I am taking the steps.. I am not allowing myself to stay where I am at.. I want to go deeper with God and when you are in a relationship with Him you can't help but to change.. The seeds He gives us begin to grow but we also have to help that process along..

Please do not misunderstand I am not meaning to be judgmental, it's just my heart is breaking from this. You either get in or get out.. God never promised an easy journey, but if we can't even be real or be ourselves online or anywhere else how can we expect God to work in us.. Sure He loves us but i wonder how heartbreaking it must be for Him. to see people claiming to love Him but in fact only use His name for their own selfish reasons.. That's just like having someone say they love you when in fact they truly don't.. Why even waste someone's time... You have free will.. You have a choice.. You're either in it or you're not.. It's a struggle, it's a challenge, it's something that will break you to the point of wanting to call it quits.. But to be in a solid, honest, loving, trustworthy relationship with God our Father, our friend, our Savior.. It's priceless..

Yes.. you are right ...so right , Lisa.

They bare no fruit... they are mean and rude, critical , quick to judge , use scripture at you as though... to condem you,

and twist things around, to make you feel you did something wrong.

If you stand up for your rights and defend yourself, they will still say that you are wrong.

They are controlling spirits dominating others, and would not care less if they hurt someone deeply or not.

No regard for people in general. Christian or non christian.

Lisa, sadly we live in a fallen world, and we have been sent out as sheep amongst the wolves. I think the enemy has done some of his most severe damage from within various religious circles over the course of time. Why do some people believe they can fool believers? Perhaps it is because they want to find the joy we have within us, but they are seeking from a place of selfishness, or in other words, they are not truly seeking God with their hearts. This being the case, maybe its that they just don't believe any of it is possible, so they think that we are pretending just as they are. Really, the best I can offer you are suppositions, because I honestly don't know the answer for certain, and I doubt that we would ever get a truthful answer from those who pretend. The best advice is to pray, and hopefully at some point God will reach them as a result of their being around the influence of christians, and hearing the Word. Be wise yourself of course, and protect yourself from exposure to any misguided intentions people might have for you, a lesson I painfully learned myself years ago.

There is also the possibility that some of these folks truly are believers, perhaps they are just young in their walk and lack the same understanding that a more established christian has learned over time. We don't always know for instance what is happening or has happened in someone's life on any given day (when considering online association), and this can sometimes lead to confusion. We all struggle with the flesh at times, as can be evidenced on these forums at times, when disagreements or harsh responses and insults are slung back and forth. In cases like that, I assume that these are often knee jerk reactions to comments that were at times misunderstood, or not prayerfully considered when responding back. This happens because we are all human, and the flesh often times overrules our better judgement, maybe even, something tragic or painful occurred during that day which has already put our thoughts in a negative place. I know I personally have been guilty of this, so I always try to give others the benefit of the doubt, Lord knows I am not proud of everything I have said and done in this life.

Certainly using our discernment we can establish things and people we should be wary of, but regardless of any uneasiness, we should pray for them with forgiving hearts. On one final note, you should not be concerned about being judgemental, because the bible clearly tells us that we are to judge those within the church, so pretenders should be weeded out from among us. Naturally, they are the ones to accuse of someone being judgemental, because they don't want to be exposed, so don't be shocked by their sly tactics, the enemy knows the scripture as well.

1 Corinthians 5:9-13

New King James Version (NKJV)

Immorality Must Be Judged

9 I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. 10 Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person.

12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”

Wingnut I know.. I know and agree with everything you said... Not sure what's up with me because i know not one person is perfect..I just get tired of dealing with ppl who like to play games and use God as a way of getting something. . I know every one is fighting some sort of battle.. myself included.. and we all fall short and we all sin.. I mean if I have arrived then Lord take me now... but i am aware that I have a job to do. and need to be more focused on God and understand how He would handle this..

Thank you for takin time to respond ..

Sometimes people are just fooling themselves. Sometimes they really believe what they say. They believe it to be truth.

Some people are not trying to deceive or beguile, they really believe that their way is the way. The fact that their words, or reactions point to something different, is most often not recognized by them because they are blind to the truth.

I would rather interact with someone like that than someone who is being deliberately duplicitous.

I absolutely agree Fez... would most certainly be more willing to hang with someone like that rather than one who purposely sets out to deceive others.. that's the point i was trying to make.. don't come off as if you love God and act like the devil behind closed doors.. Being with God you change over time.. but we have to be willing to submit and allow the work to be done.. We can chose to stay right where we are at or go deeper .. I still screw up and make mistakes. I am not talking about that kind of thing..

Those who are judgemental and say cruel things to others have no life ,or just plain so unhappy in life.

So they tend to disrupt other peoples lives around them, by making others miserable through their insults, being mean, bossy, and controlling.

They have no life and hate to see others happy with their life.

2Ti 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

The tragedy is that they cannot see as they themselves are deceived. This has been my greatest fear since I read the warnings against allowing yourself to be deceived in the bible. Especially terrifying considering the things that I am being taught internally.

We should be happy to meet them because it gives us a chance to show them the True Word and for them to receive it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
