That article is so full of speculation that its not even funny. First off, there no is no actual evidence of an "eruption" nor is there any evidence of an actual volcano under the surface. In fact many scientists in and around the park, are of the opinion the water is heated not by magma, but by by being under pressure, and being close to earths core, and that that area simply has holes in the crust leading down there. How do they know its erupted in the last 2.1 million years? the answer is, first off, the earths nowhere near that old so theres no way that it could, but hypothetically if the earth was, they wern't there, and theres not much in the way of volcanic rock in the area (ive been there) like you see around places like Devils tower. ive seen lots of these "articles" are are severely lacking in the facts department.

When is this supposed to happen? I'll book a cruise for that month.

didn't you see that movie where that volcanoe blew in yellowstone? 2012 I think it was called? The governments of the leading nations

of the world had 'arks' built and people with large amounts of moolah were able to book passage....the volcanoe blew (awesome spectacle)

and all sorts of end of the world disasters enthusiastically reared their heads...enter the arks.....NOTHING was safe...not even cruise ships,

they went down too

Just the gigantic arks like corks bobbing on the violent seas and guess the rest.....yes, they went almost Biblical with the sun finally shining and

a new world beginning with the old one...pretty much under water (Reader's Digest version..ultra condensed)

You might want to book an ark ;)

The entire park sets inside the caldera of a volcano. Magma pockets, and volcanic heat create every water-based phenomenon at Yellowstone. The mud pots, the geysers, the hot springs. The whole area is a volcano. It would be like having a National Park setting inside of Mt. St. Helen's crater. Same thing. It's alarmist to say "It's going to erupt any minute!" It is also unrealistic to think it is never going to erupt again. It will, and there is ever increasing activity in the area in terms of ground swell, increased ground heat that is killing off trees and foliage, and seismic activity. Volcano's give warning when they wake up. Yellowstone is sending a warning.

LOL.. Cobalt ..you beat me to it.

you are right of what scientist are saying.

The earths floor is swelling...rising. They say that it can cause earthquakes before its eruption.

Again, speculation, there are many reputable scientists who dont even think it is a volcano, just a vent to the core. Theres seismic activity all over, theres seismic activity in places where there arent even geysers. Im not saying its "not a volcano" Im saying scientists don't actually know what it is, that their just guessing. Their guessing theirs a volcanic core thats heating up all that water, they don't actually know, and neither do you-because a lot of those geysers go down waaaay deep, and no ones actually gotten down to the bottom of one to find out if its magma like in a volcano, or just water under pressure coming up from the earths core (which is, according to most scientists, extremely hot) to say that its a "volcano" that will erupt is at best, an educated guess, at worst wild conjecture, with no strong evidence to support either theory. Science works you form a hypothesis, and look for enough evidence to support a theory, and then it becomes fact-a lot of scientists, have bypassed the theory stage and have been teaching it as "fact" even though they don't know, and the sad thing is, to many people just believe them because thats what the professionals say. Science says volcano is just one possible theory for the mud pots and geysers. If you think otherwise, show me a case where hot magma is found at the park-like its found in pretty much every other volcano caldera, including Mt. St. Helens. The fact of it is-no magma has ever been found in yellowstone-above or below the surface.

Yellowstone not a volcano? Better tell the USGS they're wasting their time then.

Seems like they are sure there is a volcano there. There is a lot of evidence of that volcano. The earth has risen and fallen several times in the caldera which does indicate magma below the surface is affecting the caldera.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
