Great post!!! The only person we have control of is ourselves! If God came tomorrow would we be ashamed of anything we did or said!

most of the heated things I've seen since I came in 2003 seems to usually start not when someone disagrees with each other, but when one person tells the other that they are wrong...... then defences go up and there isn't much to discuss that isn't personal.

Each of us deserves our own thoughts and beliefs, and none of us has the right our authority to tell someone they are wrong. You can disagree with it or show them where the Bible disagrees with them, but we should never just outright tell people they are wrong.

We all have opinions and thoughts. We just need to agree to disagree. As we are always never right or wrong! Only God is the judge of that!

I agree that when someone tells anyone they are wrong, the defenses go up. Yet, sometimes they need to hear they are wrong. The key is the choice of words you use to make your point. I can say that I disagree with someone very strongly, at which I am saying that they are wrong according to how I see the issue. Communication is tricky at times and we are always learning more on how to communicate better.

I've read it and agree!

Personally, I think the main reason people on forums are rude and unchristian is because of

a) annonimity; people think they can say what they really think without the consequences, ie of seeing that person every week in church if you said it to their face...

and

b) they are just plain rude and forget they are talking to another human being made in the likeness of God!!

...plus, communication on forums can be misunderstood, forthrightness can be taken as anger, facial expressions are lacking...:) so heres a smile :)
