Earth Much Older Than Believed By Most Christians

This is too funny!

There is no proof that the earth is old and it matters a whole lot to Christians.

First and foremost, if evolution is true, then God is the author of death, instead of man because of sin.

Let God be true and every man a liar.

There is so much overwhelming evidence to prove a young earth. People just ignore it.

To the Christians who think that God is the author of death, why not just believe God and Jesus?

Traditional religious beliefs hold that the earth is just under 7000 years old and began with the six days recorded in Genesis.

Actually, most churches acknowledge the earth is several billion years old, because most churches acknowledge that the Bible is not infallible, especially when it comes to matters of science. It is not a question - TaBiblia is right, it is a fact.

Excuse me, but most churches I know do NOT acknowledge the Bible is infallible-the Bible is the inerrant, never changing Word of the living God-a God whom you will have to stand before and answer to that blasphemy.

Actually, the bible is filled with errors in the "technical renderings" of the text. However, the "Divine Thought" which is the primary purpose of the bible is, in fact, inerrant. It has never changed nor shall it ever. This is one of the amazing things about the scriptures. With all of the errors, mis-quotes, scribes notes from side margins inserted hundreds of years later by other scribes, numbers in the same chapter contradicting one another because of differences in the times in which it was translated, lies by Satan himself which are recorded there, and the fact that we simply do not read with the thought processes of the land in which it was compiled, the "Divine Thought" has NOT been lost.

So in some ways your comments are correct. It is dependable to the point that you can entrust your eternal soul to its truths. Just "search the scriptures" and do not settle for traditional teachings that might have you ignore a simple truth that has been covered over by those traditions.

DIME, I suggest you do further studies on Evolution. You're confusing true evolution with Darwninian and neo-darwinian evolution. Provable, scientific evolution (even though debatable) still falls in accord with the creation story. Darwinian, however, doesn't.

So the almighty God who Created the heavens and the earth? Who destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah? Who lead the Hebrews out of Bondage by His Mighty hand and destroyed Pharoahs army? Who knocked down the walls of Jericho? Who set the stars in motion? Who walked with Adam? Who Created the hevenly Host? Who is enthroned in Glory? Who took on flesh and defeated death and washed away your sin? The Divine author of your Faith? The acting agent of the almighty Holy Spirit? The Alpha and Omega? The God of David and his Mighty men? The God of whom we sing songs of praise and thanksgiving for the joy of our Salvation?

This God is not able to keep His Word from inerrancy? Yet He keeps you from death and hell?

So what part of the Salvation plan of God is wrong? Which part of that is a lie formulated by satan?

You see if God's Word is not True? Then He Himself is a liar. God forbid! Anything He would then have to say to you about anything would be not trustworthy. Including your Salvation and the point in fact that He has defeated death and overcome your sin. I do not serve a God that fits the nature you have above described. My God is a Mighty God. He is the Great, I AM!
