THOSE THAT CHOOSE TO REJECT GOD HAVE NO EXCUSE!!!!==Rom 1:18 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.

Rom 1:19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them.

Rom 1:20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Rom 1:21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn't worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.

Rom 1:22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools

How is this post relevant to the thread, dear brother? The scriptures you posted is an indictment from God against mankind as a whole. This is the picture of the entire human race as God has shut up every single one of us as guilty before him. He continues on and climaxes the thoughts from the scripture you quoted:

Rom 2:1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.

Rom 2:2 Now we know that God's judgment against those who do such things is based on truth.

Rom 2:3 So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgment?

Rom 2:4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?

Rom 3:9 What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin.

Rom 3:10 As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one;

The conclusion of Romans 1-3 is God declaring every single one of us guilty. Jew and Gentile.

Rom 3:19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.

That was Paul declaring the guilt of mankind and the Gospel remedy.

the True Vine Is something that can't do anything without, If we can do nothing without Jesus, then what we do is all credited to Jesus, we have nothing to be credited for, we work because we are saved NOT to get saved, it say work out your salvation not work for your salvation

I agree with you that we do not work FOR our salvation, but we are commanded to work OUT our salvation with trembling and fear (Phil 2:12). The notion that believers simply have to do nothing because God has already done everything for them is not entirely correct. Before we came to Christ, it was impossible to please God because in our old man we were unable to crucify the desires of the flesh. When we came to Christ, we became new creations and the indwelling Holy Spirit made it possible for us to choose to obey God and practice righteousness.

Believers who willfully choose to remain in disobedience are never described anywhere in Scripture as born again. Assurance is only given to those who walk out their faith by practicing righteousness. "If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone also who practices righteousness is born of Him." 1 Jn 2:29

well I don't know any osas people that don't feel works are important for our walk with the Lord, "you will know them by their fruits. I think on the most part. that when one believes in osas , that means they can live any ole way, to be ok. is an assumption on the works plus faith doctrinal believers. however if you ask this osas believer if I can live any way I want to and still be saved , I would respond OH YEAH!! But If I am truely saved than the way I would want to live, would be pleasing to my Father.

It sounds like you believe in eternal security for those who follow Christ and not OSAS.

not at all, whosoever calleth upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, my covenant of salvation is giving the time i start to believe, what I do after is for reward/jewels, but salvation is a gift of everlasting life, base on belief/faith not works, I cor 3 states that our works are tried by fire, our good works are brought forth for a reward, our bad works are burned up as a loss, but the spirit is saved, so as we see from this that even a saved person can have bad works that don't keep them lost, nor does it cause the person to lose their salvation.

1Co 3:13-15 KJV

(13)

Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

(14)

If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

(15)

If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

I notice you ignored the fact that continual unrepentant sin can still separate one from God. I know you said that a true believe would never do that, which is the basis of Eternal Security, not OSAS. OSAS claims that no matter what you do after salvation, you still hold a punched ticket so you can live like the devil and still make it into heaven.

Our works have nothing to bring salvation, but a result of salvation, so I am not sure what you are trying to say bringing them into the picture?

While your statement is true, the scripture you posted was about all of us. Mankind as a whole, not just a few individual sinners. When read in it's complete context it is God declaring all the world guilty before the cross, and after the cross. Right now God has committed to us (who know him) the ministry of reconciliation. To tell the world the good news that Christ has come and he offers life.

Rom 3:22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,

Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Rom 3:24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Rom 3:25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood--to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished--

Co 5:18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:

2Co 5:19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

2Co 5:20 We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.

What Paul was doing was making a case, or presenting God's case against us(man). Many use these passages to simply go against homosexuals and drunkards and the like, but it is against all mankind, that all mankind should turn to Christ. No one is excluded, all have sinned and fallen short, and all stand guilty.

OSAS claims that no matter what you do after salvation, you still hold a punched ticket so you can live like the devil and still make it into heaven.

This is a blanket and decidedly false statement. You have a "hyper" version of nearly every belief in Christianity, but true OSAS does not say you can live like the devil and still make it into heaven. I think even the majority of OSAS on this board would agree wholeheartedly.

Amen romans 12 :1-2 is just as much part of scriptures as John 3:16, but please take note That it says that we live right for it is a reasonable service, not our ticket in, now on the other side is it better to think that you can live like a devil, or to think that you can earn your way in??? did not Jesus say that the harlots and publicans would enter in before the righteous pharisees( the self sanctified, because of their works? )

Rom 12:1-2 KJV

(1)

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

(2)

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Let's discuss this.. What is the difference between Once Saved Always Saved and Eternal Security in your opinion?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
