Revelation 1:7 (AV)

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

i create this topic in the hopes of encouraging the Worthy brethren to discuss any thoughts that come to mind concerning this event.

accompanying Scripture is always good.

i think we can all find something to say about the most important event in humankind's history short of Christ's Holy birth, and of course the shedding of His precious blood on the cross.

some things that come to mind for me...

i imagine that, if every eye shall see Him, His coming will be something that is visible from horizon to horizon.

what are the implications of this?

that it does not matter if the sun is shining on any particular hemisphere.

His glory will blot out the sun.

His glory will encompass the whole of creation upon His arrival.

i find this mind-blowing, and can only imagine the terror that will come upon the hearts of those who have rejected Him.

thoughts?

love to you.

This will be Jesus 2nd coming because it is not until He comes on the white horse with the heavenly host and the bride to defeat the enemies of Israel in the Battle of Armageddon that the Jewish people (those who pierced Him) will recognize that He is their Messiah and King.

It makes me think of this

Matthew 24:30 "At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory."

I think you overlooked a small detail, which I will explain. It does not matter if if it is daytime in any particular hemisphere, becuase the Sun WON'T be shining anywhere. For this reason, Whether His glory blots out the Sun or not, I do not know, but the scripture says:

29“Immediately after the distress of those days

“ ‘the sun will be darkened,

and the moon will not give its light;

the stars will fall from the sky,

and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’b

30“Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earthc will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.d31And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

Since every eye shall see him tells me that this is the second coming. When Jesus comes in the Rapture only the believers will see him.

Mathew 24:40

Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.

This verse is also regarding the second coming.

You and others keep saying that, but where in scripture is this invisible coming described? And if you can actually answer that, I would prefer it be in words, not in a link to some article on the web. Bible verse would be great! :)

A good question is how did all those who see the Second Coming get within viewing distance. Acts 1:11b - This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven. He went upward, He shall return in like manner (descending) One would need to be within a 1.000 to 2,000 mile radius of the Mt of Olives. How did the population of the earth get there??

They don't have to get there, Jesus gives the answer.

Matthew 24:27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Matthew 24:30 At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory.

He doesn't say they see Him on the mount of olives, He says they see Him coming on the clouds. Do you question His ability to do so?

I see your point. But Scripture says He will descend to the Mt of Olives as He went up into Heaven from the Mt of Olives. Line of Sight. Yes every eye will see Him. All the Spiritual world will see the Second Coming, all the Physical world will see the Second Coming. The King is Coming.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
