Does God DESIRE to save everyone?

I'm defending the belief that God does not predestine his children,

that he loves ALL of humanity..

and ALL human beings have a choice to choose salvation or death.

If God predestine's his children, then what's the point of preaching.

Matthew 11:28 Come to me, ALL who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

IMO most Believers forget that God has Foreknowledge, so who He Foreknew would come to His Son Jesus as their Redeeemer, He also predestinated.  But we as Christians do not have His Foreknowledge so we need to be out working His harvest (Matthew 9:36-38).

Romans 8:29

For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

I remember a story of Charles H. Spurgeon being asked why did he preach the Gospel to everyone, and not to just the Elect, he replied you show me the Elect and I will preach to just them, but otherwise he didn't know who they where and didn't want any blood on his hands.

Example 1: Say God creates humanity in mothers womb. Today God creates a baby named Joseph Dunn. God says, "Ok, I'm gonna create Joseph Dunn. He's gonna live till he's 72 years old and have 5 grandchildren. He's gonna have a good wife and a good life, but he's gonna go to hell when he dies. Today God creates a baby named Michael Jennings. God says, "Ok, I'm gonna create Michael Jennings. He's gonna live till he's 87 years old and have 2 grandchildren. He's gonna have a good wife and a good life, and he's gonna go to heaven when he dies.

Example 2: Say you end up getting married and having 4 children. How many of those children do you love? Do you love only 3 out of 4, or maybe you only love two of your children. God says, "Even though I have created you from your mothers womb  I do not love all of you, just some of you. Aren't we saying here that God is a mass murdering psychopathic, that maybe is worse than Hitler.

Another way of framing the discussion:

(GOD IS strong enough to save everyone) + (GOD DOES NOT want to save everyone) = Everyone IS NOT saved

God is outside of our time and even created time

He wants us to choose to be with Him for eternity. He does not want to force us to be with Him against our wills.

So He chose all who will desire salvation in His Son.

Since He is outside of time, he can forsee those who will choose Him, and He predestins them to salvation.

It is His will that all should receive Him, but He leaves the choice to us.

1 Peter 1:1-5

To those---who are CHOSEN ACCORDING TO THE FOREKNOWLEDGE OF GOD THE FATHER, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood:---Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an (imperishable and undefiled inheritance that) will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. NASB.

God leaves the choice to us. But He chooses those whom He can forsee will Choose Him. He predestins them to salvation. Since everyone is bound for hell by default, only those who choose Christ escape hell. Their names are written in the Lambs Book of Life.

But where's the "choice" if God's omniscience is more notable than our free will. God leaves the choice to us, but HE chooses?? I don't understand, which one is it?

So what happens when one wants to be saved but one is not one of the ones God wants to be saved?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
