Well I asked and immediately there it was...Thank You So Much, My Savior, Lord and King...for praying for me...My my...Israel is so on my mind today...

Back to music:

Isaiah 14:10-15

They all shall speak and say to you: 'Have you also become as weak as we? Have you become like us? Your pomp is brought down to Sheol. And the sound of your stringed instruments; The maggot is spread under you, and worms cover you.' How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the fartheset sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High." Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit.

Exalt my throne above the stars of God...aren't we the stars that Abraham saw?

Thank you Kathy :)

OH yeah....I have heard this preached on a number of times.  But you lost me after 'ministry of music'...kidding...do you suppose it is called that in heaven?   ^_^

As there do appear to be hierarchies of angels among other things, I don't think it would be out of the question to have angels with specific functions...I think it would be

stranger to assume they all just sit around and play harps or watch over granny and the kittens (like some women's magazines seem to suggest)

It gets complicated because some  believe that when Lucifer fell to earth he actually caused the earth to be without form and void which is why God re-created the earth

also known as the gap theory or one or two other things

I found this site and I have not read it all but it contains quite a bit of scripture to help make sense of things but I'm not giving everything on the site the stamp of "OK" because  I don't

know enough about the "Metro Spiritual Church"...but they do seem to have a grip on where the verses are

Here

Again, please remember I am not saying 'believe this' or "I agree with these people'...its just a reference

Here is another, more conservative site, that reflects the thought it could be possible that Lucifer was, in fact, an angel of worship...which I think makes more sense than 'worship leader'

This one

In any case, music is, without question, extremely  influential for many people and very much a factor in church in worship and sets the atmosphere

Heres just a few I was looking at, seems to be a pattern

Psalm 2:6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

Psalm 24:3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

Psalm 48:2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

Isaiah 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Romans 10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above).

Thanks Sevenseas, the first one makes more sense to me in the part where they say that he sounded like an instrument when speaking (a walking organ). I say that because I noticed that the sound of one man's voice in certain evil bands such as "Ozzy Ozborn", sound like a multitude of voices put together. It's very clear to me that these bands worship the fallen and that the projection of their sounds permiates and affects the spirits of mankind. It's kind of like the opposite of feeling the Holy Spirit in church in time of worship, their worship is evil and therefore the spirit becomes filled with the spirit of the ruler of the world instead of the Holy Spirit.

The Bible verses Ezekiel 28:13-14 refer to the timbrels and pipes which were created for Lucifer on the day God created him, indicating that he was the Minister of Music in heaven. When Lucifer rebelled, God cast him out of Heaven.

This is an explaination on Google.I think it is speculation.

Why are you listening to Ozzy?   :whistling:

There is so much we do not understand but sometimes we get 'glimpses'...having been involved in music for years (although not recently) I have seen quite a few things...good and bad.

I'm talking about music ministry in church....I have formed some strong opinions I'm afraid on what many would think passes for Christian music...but I guess as  long as I don't beat others

over the head with them, I can continue to write here LOL!

ps...don't forget that with all the complicated music boards,  anyone's voice can be made to sound as you describe....I'm not saying you don't actually discern what you say

but I can't verify it either...but I agree that whether or not they are aware, some bands crossed the line a long time ago and just like we, as Christians can have the power

of the Spirit of God within us reaching others through music, so can the devil influence through his demons those who participate in concerts in an atmosphere charged with

every device satan can throw out there

Eze 28:13  Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold:
the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

And that one starts out here

Ezekiel 28:2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

Says the prince of Tyrus is a man there and unto the king of the lamentation is upon in the verse just prior yours

Ezekiel 28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

hi sister Flame,

the prince of Tyrus allows us to perceive aspects of Lucifer's rebellion.  he is a picture of Satan.

the prince became king upon the fall of Adam and Eve, in which we essentially crowned him and gave him our allegiance.

both Christ and Satan had rulership rights to this planet, until of course his defeat at the Cross.

Joh 12:31  Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

unless of course you interpret verse 13 to mean that a man was in Eden, instead of that sly serpent.

and then there is also verse 14 to support this.

Eze 28:14  Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Eze 28:15  Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Eze 28:16  By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Eze 28:17  Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
Eze 28:18  Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
Eze 28:19  All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

obviously a picture of the fallen cherub that covered the throne of God, and most likely ruled the adoration and worship of the Most High.

love to you.

Because there is a very deceiving spirit in the world spreading fast, a wolf in the sheep's clothing. The spirit of the anti Christ disguised under new age practice and universalism. And most of these poor souls have no idea what they are getting themselves into until it's too late. My sister is one of these victims and it frustrates me. No matter what I tell her she turns things around, thinking good is bad and bad is good... I do constantly pray for her though. So the goal is to try to make people aware of what controls this world in order for them to stay away from it.

OK I just dragged this quote from the other thread you started and then requested be closed...I didn't read or participate in that thread...it caught my eye as I was signing out and I had already

thought there must be a reason you are asking these questions and then I read the above which I have posted

I just want to state that I do not think a Christian necessarily goes out trying to find out all they can about the devil out of idle curiosity...but of course some do.

Some Christians believe satan can no longer touch them in anyway.  He already has.

Some Christians think satan is behind every negative event in their life and causes the driver in the car in front of them to drive too slowly when they are late for work

Some Christians don't want to know anything about the devil and gloss over all the considerable portions of scripture that actually deal with that individual

Then we have the Christians who with sincere hearts come before God and honestly and earnestly just do not understand why their lives are 'touched' by something

they cannot define but have the uneasy feeling they need to deal with  nonetheless.

Hall...I doubt people can be educated as to what controls this world as you put it....scripture actually defines the problem in a more precise manner and in a matter of fact manner

that can leave no doubt that to ignore the god of this world who is the power of the spirit of the air, leaves one vulnerable to deception (like your sister) and scoffing like those

who do not believe and variations on the same theme.

I think it is up to God to decide how much of the demonic He allows a person to experience, to know or to battle against.  In any event, I wouldn't go looking for any of it.  If God allows

as part of His plan for a person's life, then, you can determine there is a purpose to it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
