Regarding Revelation 2:18-29

(18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; 19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. 20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. 24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. 25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. 26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 and he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star. 29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.)

Verse 20/21 - the implication of Jezebel is that of a modern day porn star.

Since many Christians have Internet access, do you agree that perhaps this is the Lord's judgment against us? Simply by paying the providers of Internet service, we are ultimately supporting the medium which delivers what is detestable in the eyes of the Lord. Furthermore, it places deception into the hands of children from parent's carelessness.

Jezebel = Sexual Immorality. Jezebel = homosexuality. Jezebel = the spiriit that troubled even great prophets. Jezebel = spiritual deception.

Is the Lord telling us that we have allowed Jezebel and other darkness into our homes and that He is against us for this?

Curious to know what others think. It is a good question to raise for debate.

No

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:8-10

None

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Psalms 103:12

As an individual, it would be better to ask why have I invited "Jezebel" into my house. I am not fully with you on the interpretation of the scripture, but agree that the principal of inviting stuff into our homes is important.

As to the internet? It's amazing and it's awful. What you choose to do with it is what is important. Sites like this have had an amazing impact on peoples lives, and many have come to Jesus through them.

The Lord is against all sin. There is beautiful stuff on the internet, and wonderful people. He is not against us using this as a tool for ministry and fellowship.

He is against the darkness of the internet.

I agree that it is what you use it for to some aspect. But check out this stats poster. It's ultimately disturbing.

I don't believe that passage is directed toward the internet and it's users.

"Jezebel" and other dark forces have a variety of ways in which to enter our homes. Before the internet, we had television. Before television, we had radio. Before radio, we had photographs and before that, the written word and so on.

Rev 17

1And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3

How could she literally sit upon many waters without the Internet? I just feel Revelation is somehow geared towards the modern technological world.

Rev 2:20  Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
Rev 2:21  And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Rev 2:22  Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
Rev 2:23  And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

I think Jezebel is false doctrine/false teaching/false religion .....one needs to look outside just the man/woman adultery in a physical form. If we are the bride ( the church ) and Christ the bridegroom - adultery now takes a different meaning in this passage -

What about this forum?

and no, I don't think the passage you reference has to do with internet usage

That passage was penned longed before the invention of the internet and I don't think it is a prophetic reference to the internet

Jezebel was an actual woman as you prob know and when people use her name, they generally mean or refer to the type of sin and activity that she has come to represent

Well that's fine ~  you can 'feel' that if you want, but IMO, the text does not support your feeling.

The internet would actually be concerned with air if you want to form an opinion on that, there are actually better passages to support that thought...but I would not personally hold to that either

I don't think I really understand the question?Or I just don't understand what you mean by Gods judgement against us?Are you saying that you think of the internet as a kind if punishment towards mankind?

Well,if your asking if I think of the internet as a sort of punishment, then  I will say no,it can be used however you choose to use it...it has been a blessing to me and as for me and my house...I serve the Lord ...I don't read or observe things that don't glorify God....

Do I think the internet is a means by which the enemy infiltrates homes,yes.....but we have free will and its up to us what we allow into our homes.

Like I dais...I don't think I really understand the question because I don't see God having anything to do with unleashing the power of darkness on us....the god of this world is at work and very busy....God has not passed any judgement on mankind yet and has given us provided us with a chance never to face His judgment....Jesus,The Way,the Truth and the life!Glory to God

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
