I come here with a simple(but hard to answer) question, this question has roots in threads about church attendance. So I thought I might open things up for debate as to opinions for ...>>> If Jesus came back in flesh, which church would he go to, and how do you think he would be received? Would he contend for the Truth before church leaders, as he often did in his own time...?? If Jesus came back now in flesh, how would this world receive him??  If you want to use miracles, use them for healing as was most of Jesus miracles .... wouldn't this world want to own, dissect, control or manipulate what they perceive to be scientific knowledge... not knowing God is beyond our understanding? I dunno you tell me.................

By church I assume you mean denomination, as there is actually only one church. Since I don't believe any of them are right on all facets of their beliefs I don't believe he would choose any of them. I think he would go to any that would have him and yes contend for the truth. He would morethan likely be received pretty much as he was the first time around as man is a pretty prideful creature that just hates to be told they are in error. Sadly it would probably be like Revelation 3:14-22

I do believe in this present day (in the flesh)Jesus would go to all the churches just as He does now in Spirit.(I agree with Boash)....2000 years have gone by and people have not changed one iota......Often times as I sit in the church pew on Sunday I think to myself"What would Jesus think of this?".....no different than when He rebuked the Pharisees as they sat in their specially designated places, wearing their fancy robes, paying their tithes & saying their prayers of vain repetition & many words that they think they will be heard.........we know the rest, same thing goes on in our modern day churches as it did in the synagogues back then ...and then the gatherings at the church in Corinth and so on....and there are those that He would approve of I'm sure

                                                                                                            With love,in Christ-Kwik

That's a complicated question.

On one hand, one must consider that Jesus was/is a Jewish rabbi. That leads me to consider that He would be the rabbi of what we could call a Messianic congregation.

On another hand, one must consider that Jesus had a specific purpose the first time He was here, so one would have to consider if He was here in the flesh again - what would that purpose be?

That leads me to consider the question is vain because the next time Jesus comes in the flesh it will be to rule and reign.

I think the better question to ask, the one that would be more pertinent and applicable, is:

In what church now is the presence of Jesus manifest?

And that question you can only answer in a case-by-case basis of an individual church, for Jesus does not reside in denominations, but in His people. But which gatherings allow themselves to be run by Jesus rather than traditions and formulas "the way it's always been done" and what people think is best and man's will and agenda - that's another question.

I believe Jesus would enjoy churches most that are most like Him.  He laughed, enjoyed life and enjoyed people. Churches that do the same would be most like Him. As to which church He would attend?  I think He would laugh at the question because at the root the question is about which church has the most correct doctrine. Truth is, each one has it's one doctrinal and practical problems.

Jesus is coming back to claim His church, His bride, spotless and unblemished.

Is It?

No, it's not, not yet.

I am so excited...already picked out what to wear

Today is the Lords Day...my favorite beyond compare!

All ye faithful gather round, lets praise our Heavenly King

How beautifully Pastor reads Gods Sacred Word

Oh what a joy ,a blessing ,to give my offering

The Holy Spirit moves like a gentle, refreshing breeze

You feel the love of Christ

We know God is well pleased

Who is this I see?We have a guest today!

How nice that he has joined us

Lets hear what he has to say

Hmm,perhaps he is a psalmist

He has thrown back his head,to sing a bit

But then he screams so loudly

Is he having an epileptic fit?

He screamed for half an hour

"Please bear with me",said he

"I am going somewhere with this,

Somewhere you soon will see"

But he's only read one sentence

Over & over,repeatedly?

Oh my,his screams are now unbearable

The Holy Spirit slips out the back door...

Screaming that same sentence

Two and a half hours-I can no longer endure!

I see Jesus in the Sanctuary

I am feeling quite ashamed

I'm sure He spoke in a whisper

That's how much attention He gained

There's no need to pay close attention

When one is shouting loudly all day

But you must move in close to a whisper

to hear what someone will say

I'm sorry Jesus, for the antics & the show

I'd never have asked You here today,I really didn't know

Our Pastor is quite different, please come back to see

Yes Lord,come back next week

and sit right here, next to me

I don't think He would choose one where all they talked about was fishing and fishermen like the one I attended yesterday. (Don't laugh Kwik :P) Please Lord let me find a church where your spirit can be felt...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
