I believe the answer is in your very own signature, Silvia.  The Word of God is the authority we live by and under, not a man's word.  And the Pope is just that.  A man.  Frail and flawed, like the rest of us.  To God alone be the glory!

My opinion, dear Sister, is that you haven't yet established a strong foundation for your faith... that you are still vulnerable to lies like this.

ONLY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST SAVES!

AND ATHEISTS WILL GO TO HELL.

NO MATTER WHAT THE POPE SAYS.

I was once like you, and so I understand. My faith was once shaken until the only belief left in me was that there is God, but I didn't know who he is, and I didn't know anything about him. And I also had a friend whose faith had been utterly destroyed -- who have become an atheist -- because her foundation in God was weak. She could not handle the peer pressure from her unbelieving friends.

But I am glad that you are here, dear Sister. We are here to stand by you.

The remedy for your problem is simply this: to know God more. To spend more time with him in prayer. To study more of his Word. And to try harder in obeying his commandments. So that your increasing knowledge of him, of his ways, and of his truth will ever-increase the strength of your faith.

Consider these words by Jesus:

Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him. (John 14:21, ESV)

Can you imagine this? To be loved by the Father, and to know Jesus intimately? To never question again if God is real or if he really cares about you... about us? In my own life, I find that my personal relationship with Jesus is enough so that I can withstand all satanic attacks and all the doubts. For what it is, what it is that can ever shake my faith now, when the very God I'm believing in is right by my side -- loving me, helping me, guiding me? Nothing! And certainly... no one.

Sister, I hope that someday you too will come to this same place I am in and be able to say the same things :)

One final word: Look only upon God, and not on man, whenever the foundation of your faith is challenged. God is holy; man is sinful. God is perfect; man is flawed. And unlike man who is always looking out for himself to win the approval of others (like telling them lies)... God always has our best interests in his heart :amen:

Blessings to Everyone,

I've not read the link about this statement made by the pope, there is no reason for me to doubt any of you ,that he said it ....and honestly, after that blasphemous remark I have no interest in anything else he said.......................Actually ,when he first became pope I heard a couple of his addresses & it sounded like every other person who believed in universalism and that ended any curiosities I may have had about his views............................I mean no disrespect towards Catholics, the Catholic church or the pope....just not interested.

Zion,I agree(as we usually do-lol)Glory to God,He is our King, the Great I Am......pope is just a man,the sad part is he is just a man that can mislead many people.........we need to pray for him

Sylvia the Pope is wrong.   I don't think that many Catholics agree with Him.  There is a point that a person crosses a line of no return.   He has crossed that line.  No authentic follower of Jesus could make the claim he has made.   He is not a Christian in the biblical sense of the word and nothing he says should be taken seriously by any true Christian.

He is a false prophet and the RCC should force him to resign and elect a new Pope that will at least stand for the basic tenets of the faith.  I don't know how that would work, but if they have a provision for it, they need to use it.

The pope doesn't get any special privileges. In the end he will be held accountable just like the rest of us.

His message to the world that they don't need Jesus is blasphemy. He is nothing more than Satan's mouthpiece.

I don't know why he says this. Does he really believe this, or is it a pathetic attempt to get Atheists on his side and make him look modern? Either way, he should not be saying it!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
