It means we don't know the time that the Lord Jesus will return for His Church and we are to be ready always.

What does this verse mean to you?

Matthew 24:43But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

Like a thief in the night...

In a time and in ways you are not prepared for because our lack of faithfulness to the one who saved us and our fairytale traditions taught as Church doctrine (rather the traditions of men) cloud and pollute the otherwise crystal clear stream of Bible teaching / Bible prophecy.

2 Peter 1:20-21 (KJV)

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 25

13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Is that the second coming or the rapture to you?

The parable of the 10 virgins with the catching away of His bride to the marriage supper.

I suppose that is the one we want to be ready for after that it is 'ready or not'.

We know for sure that the Bridegroom in the Parable of the Ten Virgins is Jesus Christ. There is alot of debate over the significance of the parable and if it is regarding the rapture or the second coming.

Do you care to state your position as to its application?

My personal conviction.  Please, no stones.

I have come to believe that before the rapture comes the rupture.  The rupture as I am labeling it is the pulling of the tares before the wheat is gathered into the barn.  It is the taking away of Elijah in the whirlwind, the beheading of John the Baptist in prison and the destruction of all those who have set themselves up in God's temple to sell doves and be money changers.  It is a full blown consecration of the people of God unto God before the coming of the Lord to rule and reign for his 1000 year kingdom.  A thief comes to kill and destroy, so will the son of man.  One given a crown and a bow who goes forth conquering.  It is a day of darkness and not light unto those who refused the truth that is in Christ Jesus and denied him as Lord and Master.  The judging of the nations and their treatment of his brethren.  Nobody knows the day or hour but as one can discern the face of the sky so should they be able to see the sign of the times.  Seals are placed upon things to separate and restrain.  The ungodliness of man created to be in the image of God through Jesus Christ the Son of God is a bar against the kingdom of God upon the earth.  Seven Seals prevent the Kingdom of Heaven from coming to earth and truly bringing peace to the creation through the restoration of all things.  120 jubilee years was man given to prepare for the coming of Gods Kingdom upon the earth.  This Kingdom being preached beginning with John who Jesus said was not a part of and continuing to be preached from faithful pulpits acrossed the globe as the final decadence of man comes to an end and it comes in like a flood destroying those who were deceived by their own wicked hearts through personal desire to have and obtain for self without love for their fellow man.

Followers of Christ have no need to be afraid of the coming terror because they fear God today and live in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ the Son of God.  From the day they saw him in truth, they have set a course for becoming conformed to his image and likeness through the power of the Holy Spirit in them.  And having the righteousness of God upon them being justified freely by his grace and clothed in his humility and love they will be passed over and protected until the very end when Jesus himself descends with a shout and the voice of an archangel to gather his unto himself to rule and reign with him!  A message of terror to the unbeliever but one of hope to the truly faithful.

For those of you who disagree with what I have stated here.  I must admit, I have been wrong before and allow for such a possibility to be true today.  I can be wrong.  God, forgive me, a sinner.  Peace unto those in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It seems logical to me that that this refers to His coming to take us away (rapture). We will pretty much know when he will return to set us his Millennium Kingdom. Pretty much 3.5 years from the abomination of desolation. No?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
