Jacqueline, that's all well and good, and I respect it, but it's not enough. Christians must stand up and be heard when they are "throwing crosses in the trash", or you will find yourself arrested for carrying it in your heart. The reason we now can not have our historical buildings carry plaques with the Bible verses our country was founded on, and why our students are being denied a copy of the Declaration of Independance, and why people are being told to take off Cross necklaces at work, and why Pastors are starting to be brought up on charges for what they say from the pulpit, and so on, and so on........is because Christians did nothing, other than "know what they know in their heart." Just my two cents.

I would not have any problem with an individual church or churches making a decision to take down their cross....or their steeple....or whatever.

But if this is a "command" coming down from Mr Moonie, then there is a real problem. This article seems to imply that the ACLC did this on their own...and now are going overboard in an fleshly attempt at unity by their association with Moonies, muslims, and rabbinic judaism. It's really hard to tell without seeing the entire article how much of this is editorial and how much is hard fact.

So far I've seen no evidence of Bush being in collusion with the ACLC to destroy crosses off of all churches but that is another matter altogether.

Are these churches actually taking orders from Sun Yung Moon? Or are they just a a bit whacked out and hanging out with Moon is another facet of their wackiness?
