Incidentally, I did not say they were untrue. But again, it has no relavence to the man's faith! Were these people not qualified for these positions by virtue of their homosexuality?! That's discrimination!!!

No friend, that is not discrimination, that is the word of God.

Let me quote it again.

1 Kings 15:11 And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father. 12 And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made. 13 And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

All fine and well....But it doesn't play out in a democracy established on religious freedom and civil liberty!

Maybe if you want that kind of religious government you should try converting to Islam and moving to Iran.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Well, was what Asa did right? or not? You can't have it both ways. Either sodomy is a sin, or it isn't. If it is, then a Christian cannot tolerate it.

1 Corinthians 5:13 - But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Jesus didn't tell the adulteress, "You're free to go." He told her, "Go and sin no more."

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

How do you not get that this does not practically play out in a capitalist society under a democratic form of government?

Dear WSB -

Do you believe that if a professing believer is deceived in some area(s) that he or she cannot be saved?

I hope not.

No one would make it to Heaven then!

I am very skeptical when I hear "conspiracy theory" and "end times" stuff being spouted. I'm not saying this is that. But, it sure doesn't sound like a good thing.

You want to talk "One World Religion"!

I went on the Net hoping to debunk the original article that started this thread. I even went to "snopes.com"; but couldn't find anything. Then I went to the ACLC website and found the article posted below.

It's a bit scary.

You may check out their website for yourself.

http://www.aclc.info/

I could not find one mention of Jesus as GOD. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I tend to normally believe that this kind of stuff is misrepresented, but....

I would tend to think that Pres. Bush did not take the time to fully check out what this group stands for. I hope......

Fiosh

PS. You wouldn't find my Pastor within 100 miles of this group. Any Catholic (and I use that term in name only) congrgation that aligns itself, and apparently there is one, I would question whether they are fully in communion with the RCC.

PLEASE correct me if I've misread this. Really.

JESUS

THE SPIRITUAL FATHER OF REV. MOON

By Rev. Levy M. B. Daugherty

Executive Director

American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC)

ACLC Annual Convocation

Chicago, IL, December, 2002

I would like to explain some important points about how founder, Rev. (Father) Moon first met Jesus.

Rev. Moon began his ministry because of Jesus

Funny, I just saw an interview with George Bush tonight where he said he was reading "My Utmost for His Highest" and talking about how he tries to "stay in the Word" regularly. NATIONAL television.

Why hate? It's very telling. JMO though.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I agree, Just another Bush hater who most likely wishes it was President Kerry and not President Bush. I don't even listen to them anymore. They still haven't gotten over the fact they lost the election.

The fact of the matter is, it doesn't matter who's in charge , anywhere. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. There's only one character that can benifit from all the corruption. !

Before I get started I want to make this disclaimer. I'm not a Bushite and do not approve of everything he does. People are under the assumption the the Presidents job is making sure that everyone in the country worship the right God. That job starts with you and me. Either can he go around bashing other peoples religions whether they are right or wrong. That is unprofessional behavior for the person holding the highest office in America. As far as wanting a fully Christian President, we Christians need to get off of our cushy couches and bring the message of Jesus to the unbeliever and show them why we need a Christian country.

So let me get this straight, it's the president's job to make sure that no sinner serves in his administration?

Yes, any sex outside of marriage is a sin, and I believe the president has stated that on more than one occasion. So does that mean anyone committing premarital or extramarital sex should be barred from any public service?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
