Can people become an angel?

I think those scriptures Jesse brought into the discussion are the reason some believe people become angels when they die, but it never actually says that.  They are a separate creation, but they did in at least one instance, take female humans as wives and have children with them.  That shows they are capable of having sex.  That is one argument I made for men still being men and women still being women in heaven.  All the angels I know of in scripture are male, and to Father children, they have to be male.  That may not be God's intent for angels, but it shows they are capable. 

 

Angels, when they took human form, were able to do what humans do, but a human form is not their true form.  They left their reality behind to live a life they always wanted, the enjoyment of the flesh.

That is a good question Other One.  I must admit that I had overlooked that scripture.  It certainly appears like it could be female angels.  If that is the case, then you would have to conclude that God has a purpose for making angels male and female as well as humans.  You have certainly given me something to think about.

that has puzzled me since I first read the Bible in the early 60's.

you sure blew some air under the wings of the feminist theology with this verse.

 

Sort of off-topic, but what would it actually mean if there were only male entities in the heavenly realms, humans not included? Were it so, who could blame God for His creation, but it feels more balanced to know 'the gender issue' has been somewhat settled by this scripture.

Yes and no.  One person was saying that there would be no genders in heaven, and that was supposedly a good thing as it would remove individual roles as we have down here.  If you can show male and female angels in heaven, you remove that possibility.  In reality, we are going to have roles in heaven.  Everyone will not be equal.  Jesus said that the place on his right and left hand would be up to the Father, and that was dealing with authorities.  It is just a question of whether or not males will have certain roles females are not permitted to do, and only God knows the answer to that question.  We can only speculate.

 God ( Jesus ) is the same yesterday today and for ever. Heb 13:8

God set man over woman I would speculate he would not reverse these roles.

Doesn't the Bible tell us that we can't even dream of the things he has in store for us throughout eternity?    Maybe we don't even have enough information to even speculate....    I do long for those days coming.....   but there are some people I love that might not make it if it came today

In my Fathers House are many mansions.

Angels are created spirit creatures,they were not born.

 

We are born creatures,changed into spirit creatures at the resurrection.

We will be AS the angels.

 

Jesus was a human changed into spirit,but was spirit before.

He was the Word of God,before made flesh.

 

Angels can manifest as humans,but still not born.

 

Humans are created male and female for the purpose to multiply.

Angels are not to multiply.

 

Spirit creatures dont multiply;same with the saints,dont need genda.

I suspect that we will be in a seperate mansion.

Enoch, Moses and Elijah was taken up in the flesh; they are in an other  mansion.

 

 

Women = religion

The ephah with lead is placed on her own base,wich is babylon.

The wight is the burdens put on babylon. The land of shinar is babylon.

The world has that burden of false religions.

Babylon the great the mother of harlots.

Moses was not taken up, he died and was buried in the land of Moab.....
