adultery already has a clear definition

Beloved Either Way One Defines It, Adultery Or Fornication

Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. Hosea 4:1-2

It Is The Heartless Violation Of Love Given

And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him. Hosea 11:7

And Only The LORD

How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together. Hosea 11:8

Can Save

I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city. Hosea 11:9

Us

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

Staying in an adulterous and or abusive marriage is not a safety net.  You don't go to heaven because you thought you had to stay with a man who

bashed you when he had too many beers or had realtions with other women.  You don't go to heaven because your wife runs around on you while

you stay home with the kids.  Either of those is just pure misery.

What's a marriage vow?  What's a broken vow?  I really like what Jesus said about letting your yes be yes and your no be no.

I'm not sure why this topic keeps getting slung around.  It hasn't stopped one divorce yet I'm sure.

It takes two hearts and One God to keep people married.  The two hearts must be soft enough to 'hear'...that is not to reject but allow the truth to take root

and change you from the inside out....a stubborn and religious Bible thumping never helped anyone.  However, God can and does change hearts.

My first and only husband was abusive to me and my children so I left him. Is it true that if I ever got remarried I would go to hell. I know of a man who has been divorced and remarried at least 4 times now. Still he is a mighty man of God... whom the Lord uses everywhere he goes. Is he going to hell as well?

I don't understand the point of all of this. Deciding to end a marriage or not to end a marriage because somebody or maybe both cheated it not an easy thing to do. It is not like well this person did this so I have to do this. It is not something that can be decided on a message form. There is no one cookie cutter answer for all. And you can not learn about how God feels about marriage on one Bible verse alone. Read what God say about loving your wife.

With that being said I will say this from a women's point of view because I am one. If you had a husband who was going out and sleeping with a different women every night, would you still want to keep him? What kind of marriage would you have if you did? Do you think the kind of marriage you would have would be one that God would want you to have? A marriage full of hurt and without love or respected for your spouse?  No sir! Someone who has done that has done thrown away his/her marriage vows. He/She has broken his word to his wife/husband and I believe to God as well. If they have any love for each other and they choice to patch things up and change what needs to be changed, then good. But if they continue to show no love or respected for each other by sleeping with anything that walks by. Then I do think that they can walk away from their marriage as it is no longer a marriage. And I do not think that God would condemn them for it. That is what I think about that matter. Thank you very much! :soapbox:

Many believe that Jesus allows divorce for adultery. That directly contradicts "till death do us part". There is strong evidence that fully supports the long held "till death do us part", that proves that adultery is NOT a grounds for divorce.

There was a cultural divorce for fornication (not adultery) that was done while the "husband" and "wife" were only engaged (betrothed). Jesus' hearers were very familiar with this kind of divorce. The texts in Matt 5:31,32 and 19:9 function perfectly when this perspective of the exception clause is embraced. When the perspective that Jesus allowed divorce for adultery is held, then Matt 5:31,32 and 19:9 contradict each other as well as themselves.

There are two ways to look at this subject- one of law the other of grace...

The Law is do and get verses grace giving what is not deserved. If you look

at the law properly you will see a divine standard given to an already dead

people... and a people who thought the doing made them not dead! Thus The

Spirit of Christ teaches

Eph 2:8

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:

it is the gift of God:

KJV

This new life initiates the love of God within us so that we are no longer of

ourselves enabled but by God The Holy Spirit~ if we walk in the s(S)pirit...

So we are left in this light of truth trying to find divorce in 1Cor 13 !

Love, Steven

Ah Beloved, Our Salvation Starts With Jesus

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:

it is the gift of God: Not of works,

lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

And Our Salvation

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness:

that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith

without the deeds of the law. Romans 3:26-28

Ends

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:8-10

With

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:13

Jesus

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling,

and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 1:24-25

~

Dear Sister, Keep The Faith

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

Jesus Knows

These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.  Matthew 6:32 (NLT)

Praying~!

Blessings Ms Wright.....

It is not flesh & blood.................

Ephesians 6:12

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

That is how someone could be mean or hurt another human being, sweet Sister and that is how we are able to forgive and pray for our enemies.............we are accountable for what we do,not anyone but ourselves,,,,,,,,and our Loving Father, our Gracious Lord & King does not hold us accountable for anothers wrong doing................just like our Beloved Brother Joe has shared Gods Word with us,our Salvation begins & ends with Jesus.............it is by His Grace that we are forgiven ,we forgive and we are free in Christ to remarry after our abusive husbands broke the union that God Sanctified and expected THEM to honor....."let no man put asunder"...........God ,by His Grace,Mercy,Compassion & Love would not deny us a good & Godly husband if it is according to His Will,,,,,,,,

I know my Father,He never runs out of Blessings,He never deprives me of His Joy,He is my Provider & my Redeemer,He is my First Love.....but He first loved me!!!!(& you)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
