The voice of God and the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Before i proceed with my question,

Happy new year to you all,

How can i distinguish,the voice of God from the voice of the Holy Spirit?

I know that,the Holy Spirit,the Spirit of truth and the comforter are one,

I believe that every born again christian have the Holy Spirit,that lives inside him/her,

Jesus address Him as the comforter,

and He lives inside us,

Does God speaks to us,through Him?

Or he does speaks to us on his own

The fulfilled promised Jesus made to us,

I will ask the father,and He will give you another Helper,who will stay with you for ever,

John 14:16"

For no prophetic message ever came just from human will,but people were under the control of the Holy Spirit as they spoke the message that came from God,

1 peter 1:21"

How does the Holy Spirit comfort a believer?

Is there any difference,from the way God speaks to us and the way,the promised Holy Spirit that lives inside us speaks to us.

I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. The Holy Spirit is God; and Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are of one mind. They are one God. They should all sound the same.

Prophecy should always be judged by scripture. 1 Cor. 14:3, 29. Does it reveal God's nature of righteousnes, authority, love, comfort, peace and gentle kindness? Sometimes this may involve a gentle rebuke. Does it point to spiritual riches in heaven or to earthly riches which rust and theives can steal? The latter is not godly. I am under the impression from past discussions that some of your people who prophecy may not doing so under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It may be self that is speaking or it may be another spirit.

The quotation from 2 Peter 1:20-21 says that no prophecy OF SCRIPTURE is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. NKJV

The prophets of old were stoned to death if one part of it did not come true.

Those who prophecy in church today should be doing so to build up, encourage and strengthen the whole body of Christ, or to edify. It is safest when God had already impressed the same thing to you in His still, small voice; so you should receive it as confirmation. Often in our churches in the US, the pastor's sermon may be prophecy if he has prayed for God's inspiration and guidance for His sermon.

The prophet should not sound like a personal fortune teller since that may be a spirit of divination.

The pastor or prophet should not be controlling the people or making them think they will perish if they leave or don't receive what they said. That is a mark of a cult. EZ 13:1-9 speaks of false prophets.

Concerning the prophet of God,

I think sometime they prophesy by faith,

Deuteronomy 22:18" says.

when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord,if the thing follow not nor come to pass,that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken,but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously,thou shalt not be afriad of him.

Believe in the Lord your God,so shall you be established,and believe also in His prophets so shall you prosper,

2 chronicles 20:20"a".

Jerry to mature in the new birth one must engage in faith based reality coming directly from God's
Word... God's written Word literally forms us into the likeness of God's Son and that is accomplished
by The Holy Spirit, 'God', within us... How this works out presently is that all we hope in is promised
but not yet sight and yet  having not seen it makes no difference to the reality of the substance of that
which is promised in that we are assured to let go of all we have now to obtain those promises!
The comfort of The Spirit of God within us is that assurance we are given from that Word and the
working out of that faith is seen in myriads of ways but the strongest is the giving up of ones life to
gain glory for God in the life eternal...

Once the pathway is understood and stepping upon it ->The Holy Spirit confirms to our heart the true
substance of truth which is power from above in everyday trials to not let go of the promises...

No, they do not speak in different dimensions or in different ways.  What one says, they all say .. they are in perfect unity.
