I believe this article helps put a few things in perspective regarding the way the nation of Israel is beginning to lead the world in so many areas...not least compassion...Many nations should hang their heads in shame especially the UK where the media has abandoned fair reporting when it comes to the nation of Israel...and where those that tread the corridors of power are still goverened by a colonial mentality that has not yet come to terms with their own shabby handling of their Palestine Mandate and seeks some sub-conscious reprisal against their ignominious departure from the land flowing with milk and honey.

I felt this was of more interest here in general discussion than tucked away in other threads.

J'ACCUSE! I, Mike Levine, citizen of Israel and the United

States, accuse you, NY Times, LA Times, Boston Globe, Denver Post,

Atlanta Constitution, CNN, Times of London, and thousands of other

newspapers and TV networks worldwide, I accuse you of gross bias

against, and naked hatred towards the Jewish state of Israel.

For years most of you have shown a clear bias in favor of the Arab

Muslims and Palestinians, taking every opportunity to demonize Israel,

the only Democracy in the Middle East, and the only Jewish state in the

world.

But in the past two weeks you have raised your hatred to a new high,

while your journalistic standards have fallen to new lows.

While coverage of the earthquake and tsunami in Asia has been extensive,

and your reporting of international fund raising and rescue efforts has

been massivie, you wrote hardly a word about the fact that Israel was

one of the very first to offer substantial aid and send medical rescue

missions to the stricken areas! Within hours planeloads of well trained

rescue people and experienced trauma doctors were on their way.

Israel is one of the tiniest nations on earth, with a total population

far less than many cities of the world, yet in the first hours following

the earthquake and flooding, Israel assembled hundreds of doctors and

other medical personnel, many planeloads of medical supplies, tents,

food, blankets, even baby diapers. While other, much larger, much richer

nations, were still rubbing their eyes in disbelief, Israel was already

setting up many aid stations in the worst hit areas.

Nor did you report the unbelievably hateful refusal of Sri Lanka, and a

couple other Muslim states, to accept the entry of Jewish medical and

rescue personnel, although they did cynically accept the supplies and

equipment sent by Israel.

I accuse world media of gross incompetance. I accuse world media of

abrogation of journalistic integrity. I accuse world media of sheer and

transparent prejudice against Israel and the Jews.

I accuse world media of pandering to the Islamic nations hatred of

anything Jewish.

Only a few publications outside Israel mentioned the major contribution

being made by Israel. Only a very few pointed out that Israel's

per capita contribution of manpower, equipment, supplies, and money WAS

THE HIGHEST IN THE WORLD!

Only a few bothered to mention that only a tiny trickle of aid was

offered by all of the world's Muslim nations, nations sitting on

half of the world's oil reserves, nations raking in billions of

dollars daily, nations whose elite live lives of such oppulence as can

hardly be imagined by most of theworld's masses.

Saudi Arabia sat unmoved for a week while the world scrambled to raise

funds and send massive aid, then magnanimously pledged a measly ten

million dollars, a pledge which has yet to be paid! Imagine, this from a

brother Muslim state, a state that provided families of Palestinian

suicide bombers with $150,000,000 (one hundred fifty million dollars)

during the past year alone!

Kuwait, the second richest Muslim nation, pledged an equally paltry ten

million!

You people in Chicago, did you read any of this in your

newspapers? How about you good people in Dallas? Paris? Berlin?

Melbourne? Did any of you read or hear of Israel's incredible

generousity of spirit, manpower, and money? Did you read one

editorial praising the fact that the Jewish state unselfishly came to

the immediate aid of Muslim nations that have long called for the

destruction of Israel?

No, chances are you did not. Maybe you ought to let your editors know

how you feel about their treatment of Israel and the Jewish people.

Because if you don't speak out, they will continue to believe no

one gives a damn about Israel, and they will continue speaking of

Israel only in negative terms, writing only about how the Jewish state

mistreats the Palestinians and their terrorists.

Join me when I say to world media loud and clear

J'ACCUSE!

I wish I could reply to the actual author of this article.

He should understand that it doesn't even matter what the liberal media does or doesn't do.

Israel, learn from the true Messiah, Jesus Christ, how to bear the cross in suffering silence. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob knows the truth.

Seek to please Him and not man.

God, who sees what you do in secret will reward you openly. Let your motives be pure and in love; not to gain the attention of men.

What does it matter if men acknowledge you? God knows what you do.

It is my understanding of their religion that it would be considered the will of Allah and if they live they live and if they all die..... well it is just the will of Allah.

I have read this is several places about other situations and I it seems to be the way they work things out. I believe it is just shows another opposite of Mohammad and Jesus.

I looked for articles reflecting the charity of Israel but found none. Likewise I tried to find any Jewish or Israeli sponsored relief fund that I could contribute to yet again without any success. I had faith that Israel would not have just crossed their arms and done nothing, so the exclusion of their efforts and contributions is not a big surprise to me. In truth though, the exclusion of their efforts is even more Glory unto God and witness that he does truely dwell in his people.

Here is an article along the same line.

No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

By Jackie Mason & Raoul Felder

Published 1/5/2005 12:05:24 AM

It is hard to imagine an anti-Semite going to a Jewish doctor with a broken foot, and holding out his foot, telling him, "Here, fix this, you Jew bastard." And yet this is what is happening today, but with a different twist. It is now, although virtually unreported by the world's press, a case of, "Don't fix this, you Jew bastard. Just send money."

After the horror of the tsunami, Israel immediately leapt into a rescue mode. While most nations were dithering about and making promises, or promises to make promises, Israel sent 82 tons of medical and humanitarian aid to Sri Lanka, as well as a planeload of blood products and an additional 40 tons of supplies from private donors. On December 27 a medical team specializing in rescue work, trauma, and pediatrics was dispatched carrying medicine and baby food. A rescue-and-recovery team with specialized equipment for identifying bodies was sent, and a Health Ministry group of doctors, nurses, and members of IDF arrived in Thailand. Unfortunately, the American media, which ironically the Muslim and Arab press say is controlled by Jews, reported little of these extraordinary undertakings. The world media, along with a substantial portion of the American media, have a vested interest in continuing to cast Israel as a Palestinian murdering villain.

In addition to the help it has already sent, Israel offered to send 150 experienced military medics and support personnel to set up field hospitals. It was then that a light went off in the collective heads of at least three of the recipient nations, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and India. These countries with substantial Muslim populations apparently realized that in their condition, they would not be able to bite the hand that fed them, and, therefore, either turned down or did not respond to offers of Israeli aid. They much prefer to have Uncle Sugar pay the bills. And believe it or not, when President Bush suggested an amount that they did not feel to be sufficient, they had their public relations machines -- the same ones whose usual bill of fare is a panoply of propaganda condemning the United States, its foreign policy, and anything remotely connected with Israel -- complain that President Bush was a cheapskate and that we should throw more money at them.

It should not pass without notice that fellow Muslim nations, particularly the oil-rich Arab states, who are among the richest in the world in per capita income, yet their contributions to tsunami relief are amongst the lowest.

Certainly there should be a precondition that before these nations receive any aid, they should clearly denounce terrorism and, at the very least, discontinue the state-sponsored anti-American drivel heard in that part of the world.

The uncharitable thought crosses our minds that if the reverse were true, i.e., if Israel had suffered a catastrophe, would they come to its aid? No one, this side of a lunatic asylum, could honestly answer in the affirmative.

We believe that as a nation, we should not, as a matter of national policy -- at least until the private sector proves inadequate -- fund these relief efforts. Does this sound harsh? Let us point out several facts:

Israel was the first to offer any aid, and yet the arab nations sat around on their billions of dollars and offers nothing. The US offers millions of dollars, with support from the private sector and the military, and gets admonished for being stingy, and yet the UN sits around giving alot of lip service and nothing else. Should this really surprise us? If it wasn't for the US and Israel offering their assistance, the relief efforts would nowhere be close to where they are now. :emot-puke-old:

Thank you for posting this, who wrote it?

Hi Angels...if you re-read the opening sentence I think it will become clear.... don't know him...a friend from Haifa sent it to me...presumably from the Jerusalem Post or some such.

Danny...that was a good article too.

I think it is important that these sort of articles get given some better exposure to the Christian world just to help them make an informed judgement of what Israel is generally up against in way of world prejudice...and how much the Church has buried her head in the sand or chosen to believe the wrong report.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
