Some Christians aren't taught that God has not forgotten Israel, and therefore they aren't informed about the issues surrounding Israel and believe what the media say about Israel.

That's true, Ricky.  There are some Christians who are genuinely ignorant of the truth and are victims of false teaching an the media-based lies about Israel.   I have encountered them and often, they are receptive to the truth.

History, logic, and truth are weighted in Israel's favor.   You simply have to break the hold that the media and overall moral indifference has on them.

Anti-Semitism wears many faces:

Replacement theology

A fake concern for Palestinian well-being/self-determination

Pure irrational hate for Jews.

Anti-Semitism doesn't  exist as a stand alone ideology.  It is either part of the racial leftist socialist agenda that hates both America and the state of Israel, or it is part of the mindest of those sympathetic to Islam , or is usually found concert with other forms racism and racist conspiracy theories.

Anti-Semitism is NEVER found in connection with authentic New Testament Christianity.

There are many others too that are thinly disguised anti-Semitism but sometimes they are disguised well enough to fool some Christians.

One example is the Black Jesus movement. It's designed to make people who don't believe in it as appearing racist, yet by claiming that Jesus was Black (therefore Jews must be Black) they are adding credence to the theory that Israel is not made up of 'real' Jews.

Since I have always been pro Israel, I was astounded to find an evangelical church, Free Methodist, in which they claimed that they had missions in Egypt so they felt they needed to oppose Israel, as though they had to take sides. It just doesn't compute. I have supported missions in Libia and Iraq but am pro Israel and pray for the peace of Jeruselem. It gives me goose bumps when I think of the day when all Israel will be saved and worship her Redeemer. Oh come, Oh come, Immanuel, and ransom captive Israel. Most of her people are still in the grip of the world and the evil one. One day she will be free and the blindness will be taken away. Halleluia!

Hi Tinky,

A “true Christian” is someone who has sincerely surrendered ownership of their life to Christ as a faith response to His gospel.

We all come to the faith from differing backgrounds and perspectives. The world is indoctrinated to always consider Jews to be the bad guys – regardless of the (readily available) facts of each situation. I’m not convinced that correcting one’s perspective on Israel is always a priority issue between God and the new convert (i.e. there are probably more important personal issues to deal with first). Through fellowship with God, I would expect a Christian to eventually find God’s heart on most issues. But there is no rule in Christianity that we must all agree on every issue. We must trust God to correct the issues He considers important in His own time (as well as we ourselves remaining open God’s correction on any issue).

Romans 14:4

Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.

I think it’s important that we give God the opportunity to be God, both in our lives, and the lives of those with whom we currently disagree.

Tristen, we are talking primarily about those who are genuinely anti-Semitic but claim Christ.  Jesus doesn't live in the heart of racists.  Being anti-Semitic is evidence that one has a false profession of Christ

What does it mean to have a heart for Israel and its people?

Does that mean one cannot disagree with their actions?

Can one question their tactics and choices and still have a heart for them?

As I read through the bible I see a group that constantly made the wrong choices and rarely did what God wanted of them. Why would anyone assume this current group is any different?

Are we any different?  Directly shows God's love for us when He loves us even with all the wrong choices we have made!

No, we are no different...yet I can say a bad word about us without too much grief, say a bad word about Israel and the same can't be said most off the time

Having a heart for Israel means loving them unconditionally, not supporting them unconditionally.    The Jews made a lot of mistakes and they messed up and sinned a lot but God is faithful to them because He made promises to them.   He says that He is zealous for them and those who touch Israel touch the apple of His eye.

It's kind of analogous to how your children might be unruly at times and you as  the parent can criticize your children, but no one else, better. If anyone else were to come against your kids, you would defend them against those people.

In the Bible, God gives a lot of warnings to those who would come against His people and He has never rescinded that promises.   Anti-Semitism is an affront to God and those who stand against Israel set themselves in opposition with God. '

Israel messed up a lot but that is for God to handle, not us.   And those who curse Israel who join in divestments of Israel's economy who stand in solidarity with those who seek to dismantle Israel, particularly those  in the Church will discover that they are standing on the wrong side.

No one can break God' eternal covenant with the Jews.   All they can do is break themselves against it

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
