No Christian should teach the tooth fairy to their children or let them participate in this practice.

No. 1, it's a lie.

No. 2, the origin of fairies are along the same lines of gnomes, elves, pixies... they are sprites.  Evil spirits.

No. 3, no matter how harmless it may seem, we are inviting evil spirit's into our children's lives.

No. 4, anything left out in exchange for something, is a sacrifice to devils.

Many parents do this all in "fun" because it's "tradition", but it's harmful to our children and to us,  and many are not aware what they are "inviting" into their homes.

Jesus has taken us out of the darkness and into the light, therefore let us walk in that light and be separate from the world.

1 Corinthians 10:20   But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

1 Corinthians 10:21   Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

  1 Timothy 4:1   Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

I think it is innocent fun if you tell your children the truth about the tooth fairy and they know Jesus Christ.

Children are going to come home from school and wonder what their friends are talking about that the "tooth fairy" brought them some money for their lost tooth. Then a person has to make a decision.

So you mean tell them that Jesus is the way to the truth, but teach them a lie at the same time?  What kind of a start is this for their little souls?  And what kind of an example are we setting?  If this is our type of "fun" then the devil is going to have fun with us.  I think Christians should be aware that these so called innocent practices are very dangerous.  Many children end up having "imaginary friends", and my eldest daughter was one of these, and some of the things this "friend" told her was very creepy.  Little did I know that I was the one who probably invited her "friend" into the house all because I wanted her to have some harmless "fun".  This same spirit followed my daughter for many years to come.  It would play tricks on her as a teenager, and then went into her, causing her to become suicidal for many years. These are familiar spirits, and it all starts off with the tooth fairy or Santa Claus, or the Easter Bunny in their early lives.

During my walk with the Lord, he has revealed so much to me, how I was the problem because of lack of knowledge.  When my two younger children were born I made a stand and never taught any of these things to them.  They have not missed out but gained so much more. Satan has many ways of getting into our homes, his ways are very subtle.

If my kids would come to me and ask me about what the tooth fairy is all about that they have been hearing from their friends I would tell them the truth.I would not get upset and get angry about it.I would tell them that there are no such thing as tooth fairies but I would tell them that if they want to have a fun surprise for their tooth I could provide that for them.I would tell them the same about the Easter bunny and Santa Claus.

Relax...and take a deep breath. No reason to get all upset over this issue.

Many think that we worship a God who is mute and cannot speak to us, that he has just left us to ourselves.

Well our God and his Word are very much alive, and he continually speaks to us daily.  If we don't want to hear him and just do our own thing by following the world, then the bottom line is that we will miss out when Christ comes to collect his saints.  Christ told us to come out of Babylon, for spiritually she is desolate (without truth).  If God despises something then we should also, and stay away from everything that he warned us.  This is how he tests the heart, to see if we are willing to make those sacrifices for him.  These sacrifices come in all shapes and forms and it starts with letting go of what this world has fed us.

He also said this;

Matthew 10:37   He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

Sorry to be a stick in the mud.  They thought the same of Jesus.  I am going to preach my heart out whilst I am still alive, because when I am dead, I cannot share anything.  The Word is alive and living, so lets all share it with joy because it is for the saving of our souls.

All those childhood memories from a little girl that was crazy, madly, passionately in love with Jesus!!!!!!!!! Those fables & fantasy characters quickly faded away but my mom & dad planted my roots on solid ground,,,the Word of God,,,,,,fun was fun & Truth is Truth, they are only little for a moment,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the enemy hates Joy,hates to hear children laughing,,,,,,,,,,my son says he hardly remembers anything about the tooth fairy & I lefty a dollar for every tooth & he couldn't wait to show me what he found-lol!!!!!!!    Just my 2 cents

Right.  The decision should be thus:  "Listen Mary (or should we say Virginia?), there is no such thing as a tooth fairy.  This is all "pretend", just like Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. Lots of kids and their moms and dads like to pretend  that there is a tooth fairy. But we don't need to pretend because Jesus is real, and He watches over you as well as your teeth.  But I'll give you something "special" whenever you lose a tooth." (Kids know what "pretend" means).

Me too sis but I did not grow up in a Christian home.We never went to Church and there were not Bibles in our home. The only time I had exposure to Jesus Christ was the couple of times I went to Sunday School with a friend.I was curious about this Jesus Christ.I was curious about this heaven that Sunday school talked about.

My children learned about Jesus Christ.I read them children's Bible stories and they attended Sunday School. My children grew up with the tooth fairy, the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus. But that was many years ago and I am not the same person in Christ.I am very grounded now I was not then. Now I would probably not tell my kids anything about the tooth fairy unless they asked and that is when we would sit down and talk about it.

Yes,Satan loves the little children. They is his best victims.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
