If a person wants to go through life without doing business or having friends that are non Christians, they better become a monk or live in a life sustainable dome. How can we tell non believers or how can they see us walk in the light of Christianity if we aren't around them? There are non believers out there that are diamonds in the rough and all it takes is one Christian to say a few words or do a good deed for the glory of God to make that diamond shine.

You can have acquaintances, you don't have to share your heart with every non-believer out there though.  Sow the seeds into the diamonds in the rough, but until they have Christ's Salvation and Lordship over their lives, I wouldn't have a deep trust in them.  Even Jesus didn't do that for He knew what was in men's hearts. Friendship with the world is emnity with God.  Unless and until one can influence them in Christ, rather than being influenced by the world, it isn't a good idea. We are in the world not of it :)

Would you be friends of someone with little faith?

I would, uh-huh.

I would encourage them.

God Bless you.

Your brother in Christ,

I know some people that know who God is but don't walk in truth. Living a lifestyle that wouldn't be pleasing to our father eye sight. But I don't judge what I do is pray for them that is what I suppose to do.

Some people have their opinion like if you a Christian why do you associate yourself with a person like that. What others fail to realize is God expects us to show one another love. Yes it's true if that person wants God to work in their lives all they have to do is ask him and PRAY for a change. Some time you never know what change you can do in someone's life just by telling the love God has for us all. Or reading his word to them.

Before looking upon people in a judgemental way that don't understand Christ, we as God servants we suppose to teach the gospel with open arms. We all have walked down a path God wasn't pleased with. So I or anyone  has authority to judge. God have people in your life for a reason you could be who God is working through to bring that person to Christ.

I am friends with pretty much anyone that wants to be friends with me.  I don't ask people to fill out a friendship application to see if they meet up to my standards.  You did say you don't judge people, but you also said that you are speaking of them as "living a lifestyle that wouldn't be pleasing to our father eye sight."  That is making a judgment, but I don't see anything wrong with that.  If you know the Word, you will recognize sinful behavior.  Jesus was accused of eating with sinners, as though it was a bad thing, so looking at him as our example, I agree with the way you are handling things.  There are exceptions.  We aren't to hang out with professing Christians in open sins like fornication.  We are told not to eat with them, but you seem to be speaking of people who just aren't living in Christian perfection.  Few are.  Keep praying and being an example.  I feel like God is pleased with that.

Hard to witness to them if we don't...

Some people have an intellectual belief about God but don't have a relationship with Him.  They may want salvation from hell but they have never thanked God by surrendering their will to Him  He is not their Lord, but they are trying to do in their way.  I don't think they understand what Jesus had done for them.  A double minded person won't receive anything from God.  So while God is leading them toward salvation, I am not sure if they are truly saved.

On one hand we are told to not associate with people who are unrepentant but call themselves Christians.  On the other hand how will they find out what they are missing if we don't tell them and show them?  Perhaps it depends on the the stability of the person who is reaching out to them.  A mature Christian my be able to influence them, but too often it is the bad influence that wins out.  So it is best to go as two or three for strength and prayer support.

I think that he greatest danger as you say is from those who say they are christian ,but do not seek God ,so they have decided what kind of god they want to have. The god they have is not the true God but one created to fit their lifestyle :when you know  God you  ; when you know God you become transformed over time ,and you 'see differently' .

And to answer the topic ,yes I can be friendly with people who are not very faithful ,but as time goes on it  becomes more difficult to socialise as they can be interested in different things, but the answer is Yes  as some of them are family or good friends in most ways ,and live their lives in a moral manner .

You did say "little faith " , not atheists ??

I think some people are confused about the OP and what being friendly and having someone for a close friend is all about. We as Christians are not supposed to snub someone or make ourselves seem better than they are.We can have casual friends who have little faith or no faith at all.Personally I would have little in common with them.We are just not supposed to be unevenly yoked in marriage or in friendships as far as taking advice from them or letting them take us away from our faith in God.

That may, sadly apply to family members.

I have been casual friends with atheists, agnostics etc. What classification does a person with "little faith" come under.A luke warm believer?I am very, very cautious who I take Christian advice from.I usually have to watch them for awhile to see what they believe. There have been a couple on Christian message boards.I will usually PM them and tell them that I appreciate their theology.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
